No Christmas spirit!
With all the murders and chaos it is hard for Sabrina to find her Christmas spirit. Even seeing the decorations and eating gingerbread cookies isn’t helping. Christmas parties usually make her merry but when someone murders the owner of the party shop Sabrina loses her enthusiasm for holiday parties. It will take a Christmas miracle to solve this case and restore Sabrina’s holiday spirit.
I really like the Daley Buzz Series and this book is no exception. With so many murders to solve it isn’t surprising that Sabrina and David are ready to retire. They make a good couple and are easy to relate to which always makes a book more interesting.
I was so excited to be able to jump back into this series again and have to say I was once again not disappointed. We have the same ol’ characters that I love so much who unfortunately have a new murder to solve. Luckily this pair do a fantastic job solving the crime with a few sweets pit stops on the way.
I do love Sabrina and her family. With two cops and one amateur detective all related, Treasure Cove should know they cannot get away with anything. I enjoyed how Meredith Potts weaved in the family and friend relationships through the story, and I have come to care about them all. Stephanie Quinn did another wonderful job with the voices and bringing the story alive. The words of Ms. Potts and the narration of Ms. Quinn made my ride to work very enjoyable.
I received this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
Christmas Gingerbread Cookies with a Side of Murder (Daley Buzz Treasure Cove Cozy Mystery Book 30) by Meredith Potts. Sabrina is desperate to have a peaceful holiday. Christmas is approaching and there is a killer on the loose in Treasure Cove. The killer is finding different ways to cover their tracks and Sabrina is having a hard time finding out who they are. This was another good read by Meredith Potts and I can’t wait to read more by the author.
Enjoyed this cozy mystery. Though this is book 30 in the series, it was my first; though I would now like to read the first 29, I was able to enjoy this without feeling lost. A killer attempts to ruin Christmas for Sabrina Carlson in this one. Recommend reading this one with a side of Gingerbread Cookies and fresh brewed coffee.
I like Meredith Potts stories. I have listened to a number of them. They are light and entertaining. Great for listening to while driving or working in the kitchen. I listened to this book while baking Christmas cookies and otherwise getting ready for Christmas.
It’s nearing Christmas but the local police aren’t feeling at all festive. First they needed to stop a fool who advertised in the local paper for a hit man to murder his wife. Next came the discovery of that woman’s murdered body. And always with the lying suspects. Made for a really good read!
Narrator Stephanie Quinn is as perky as ever.
