This was a wonderful book. It didn’t seem rushed. This was sweet and steamy, full of romance and passion with great characters that were interesting enough to draw you in.
A very short well-written story of strangers forced to pose as lovers where each of these wonderfully-crafted characters have preconceived thoughts of each other. These characters learn that what they thought about each other was not true and find they have much in common. Could this be a start of a HEA for this new couple that went from barely civil to romantically involved over a romantic weekend trip. Almost too short for me, but otherwise good, just wish it was longer

Harper went to Owen’s inn to review it on her blog. He didn’t want her staying for free but his mother had given her a free package with her fiancé for the advertising on her blog. She showed up alone. The sparks between Harper and Owen weren’t just from aggravation. Short and sweet read

I didn’t like lifestyle blogger Harper at first. She seemed entitled, had no sense of money, and was hanging onto a man she didn’t like because he was successful and looked good on her arm. I don’t blame Owen for being mad that she influenced his mom to give her free lodging at their inn after he turned her down. But I liked her more after her interactions with Owen, his mom, and his daughter Bella and she spoke about her past. This was a clean Christmas romance with several sweet and funny moments.
Biggest thing to know about this story is that it is 100% wholesome with no intimate scenes.
Harper visits the Evergreen Manor to give it a review on social media. However she originally was comped the room as a holiday getaway for two. Right before they are set to leave, her boyfriend of two years brakes up with her instead of proposing like she thought might happen. She decides to go through with the trip and review as a way to get out of the city and take time for her heart to heal. What she never expects is to fall for the Inn keeper’s son, Owen. This story has a guaranteed HEA. Nomi Summers did a terrific job with her characters and their backstories.

The characters were likable and the plot good.
The pacing was quick, but it had to be for this length of story.
