I’ve always loved Fran, but to finally see her get her love story was just something special. She spend her time matchmaking for her loved ones while she was waiting for hers. Curt was something special also, he gave up so much. I highly recommend this whole series.
Christmas For Two is Book 7 of the Maple Glen series and I have been waiting for Aunt Fran’s Story. I love second chance romances and this was a prime example as to why. You definitely want to read this heartwarming story. Maple Glen is one of my favorite places to visit.
It is always wonderful to take a trip to Maple Glen! I loved Christmas for Two, Fran and Curt’s story. Curt has been away for many years and has now returned to help his aging father. Fran owns the local coffee shop and is the town’s matchmaker. This story is well written with lovable characters and a storyline that keeps you entertained and turning the pages! A fantastic second chance story!
I received an advance copy of this book and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.
What I liked about this book is that Fran and Curt were older in age. Shows you can find love at any age. What I didn’t like was that Curt left it for 30years to tell Fran he was sorry. I needed a kick in his butt for that. He should have picked up the phone a lot earlier to grovel but they did find their HEA and that is what is important.
4.5 Stars!
I have been waiting for Aunt Fran’s story for so, so long. This one did not let me down, it is the BEST part of one of my Favorite Small Town series. I can honestly say that Curt made me mad and I had a hard time understanding WHY, even though we got the back story. But in typical Aunt Fran way this one leaves me feeling that sense of hope and restoration and lots of smiles.
Well done Christina
It was so fun to return to Maple Glen for Fran’s story. I loved that the couple involved in the romance were older. In all honesty, I had never wondered about Fran’s romantic history, but this second chance at romance trope was sheer delight! Ms. Butrum has proved that she can write romance for someone besides young couples and finding romance for the unofficial matchmaker of Maple Glen was such a good move. Butrum has added another delightful addition to the series!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.
I love second chance romances and this one was even sweeter for me because it’s an older couple. You don’t see older couples a lot and I haven’t read one lately so this one was a welcome one. There are past hurts to get through but you can feel the love Curt and Fran have.
This was a clean older couple second chance at love romance. Curt left Maple Glen and the love of his life Fran 30 years ago. He’s back to help his ailing father with the family tree farm business. Curt and Fran reconnect, but even though the feelings are still there she’s afraid he’ll run and leave her broken hearted again. It was great to read the matchmaker of the town get her own match. Her nieces played a part in rekindling the flames of the romance.
I loved Christmas for Two. Things to turned around for our matchmaker Fran, when her old flame Curt returned to town to take over his family’s Christmas Tree Farm. He left her her once years ago, can she do it again?
The girls she had all matched up, including her niece knew they still had feelings and loved each other. Fran was worried if Curt would leave her again and if there really could be a second chance.
Everyone knew what would happen, but she still had her doubts. This story kept you on the edge, always hoping for the best and wanting the town Matchmaker to finally have her match.
This is a heartwarming second chance romance that was an absolute joy to read. I loved going back to Maple Glen and reading Fran and Curt’s story. It’s a beautifully written story that will keep you turning the pages.
A sweet second chance romance for the sweetest lady and beloved matchmaker of Maple Glen. It was wonderful to see Fran get her own sweet novella.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
