Ester’s life has changed for the better. When she found Bones she’d been adrift for a long time, homeless and living on the edge of humanity. Those days have left their scars, on her mind and body. Finally settled into their relationship, she wants to give Bones the greatest gift, only to realize those dreams are a casualty of her past.Full description:Ester has become adept at taking what life … taking what life handed her and figuring out how to make the best of a bad situation. Lemonade made from lemons with a quick twist of the wrist and judicious application of whatever sweetener happened to be at hand. Dogs, birds, kids, and every day being Bonesday—these were the best in the history of everything when it came to making her happy.
And when her old man—a big bad biker named Bones—is on a mission to give her everything she ever wanted, she quickly learns to accept the inevitable and hold on for the ride.
Along the way, there are club whores, Great Dane pups, ride-or-die brothers, and tiny humans. Is there a better kind of holiday story than one of true love?
Story in the Rebel Wayfarers MC book series, timeline matches book #11, Fury. Christmas Doings #11.25.
*Please note this book is part of the Rebel Wayfarers MC book series, featuring characters from additional books in the series. If the books are read out of order, you’ll twig to spoilers for the other books, so going back to read the skipped titles won’t have the same angsty reveals. I strongly recommend you read them in order. “He simply loved her as she was. Because she was how she was. Beautiful, quirky and fae, and beloved.”
MariaLisa deMora…my heart feels too big for my chest. You’ve taken one of my favorite stories, Bones, and expanded it along with my heart. There’s hardly any room to breathe, especially with the tears and sniffles. Beautiful is a word that doesn’t do it justice, but it’s all my emotional self can come up with right now. Thank you for wrapping up such an incredible series with so much love and leaving me with a smile and so many wonderful memories.
I must warn readers that you cannot appreciate the tale to the extent it deserves without reading the books that come before it. There are so many experiences hidden behind the words that touch you if you were there when it happened. Even if it was a long time ago, you feel the punch of remembrance. Whether it be pain or passion, love or laughter, this extended family of Rebels have been there for each other through thick and thin and will do so till death. Even though they are fictional, they have a forever place in my heart. As Bones says, “my Ester” and I feel it to my toes, I feel the same way about ‘my Rebels’. When you’ve been through so much with someone, living inside their heads as they suffer and sharing their joy, it’s hard to let them go. So, I’m not going to. “Rebels forever,” *sniffle, snot, sigh* “forever Rebels.”
Everyday is Bones day.
Ester and Bones are my favorite Rebel Wayfarer couple. Adding in kids and puppies just makes my heart explode. MariaLisa has gifted this beautiful story to her fans. It is a wonderful touch to the ending of her RWMC series.
Mason, Myron, Mouse & Red all stop in and visit.
I giggled, I laughed out loud and I even cried. Merry Christmas to all.
Rebels forever….forever rebels
Bones and Ester
love this story…..Almost heartbreaking this is the end of
RWMC. :'( But from Mica to Cassie, there’s always a reread
Bones and Ester are back in this Christmas treat from MariaLisa deMora. With their whimsical way of talking and their love for each other so strong yet sweet, this short story to give them their HEA was just lovely.
I cant begin to tell you how much love I have for MariaLisa! This one made me cry happy happy tears. Although this may be the end of the Rebels, I am looking forward to where her next journey leads me. Bones and Ester are beautifully blended. Complex, yet lovingly complete. Christmas doings is perfect in every way. Seeing Ester blossom is so heartwarming and the way Bones takes care of her makes you wish all men were like him. A beautiful, feelie good, happy tears, ending to an epic journey with the Rebels.
Life is fickle. Even a person’s best and most thought out plan go bottoms up. We can plan and prioritize all we want but life, she has her own agenda and if we’re lucky, though it might hurt and burn with sadness and resentment, she’ll make her way around to getting us where we want to be.
Bones and Ester… Geez, these two… sigh. Even after knowing they got their “Happily Ever After” together still bring a touch of sadness to my heart. I long for them to have all the things they need for their hearts to bleed less. I want them to have their needful. And without giving everything away, though that adorable cover gives some hint-hints, Bones and Ester somehow get their needful. It’s beautiful and heartwarming and breaking at the same time to watch Ester still struggle with her fear and anxiety. To see her long for what her body refuses to give her. And Bones! My God the anger and despair at not being able to boss, bully, demand, and sweet talk life into giving them both what they want most, it truly made me so grateful for everything I have.
So despite the overwhelming longing, Bones and Ester have carved a beautiful life out together. But this Christmas… It gets their life will turn absolutely stunning.
