Holiday fiction from the bestselling author of THE HEARTBREAK CAFE, a festive and heartwarming Christmas romance based in the pretty tourist village of Lakeview at Christmastime, and part of Melissa Hill’s popular Irish contemporary romance series.
The Heartbreak Cafe, situated in the picturesque Irish tourist village of Lakeview is a local institution, and owner Ella has run a thriving business … thriving business since it first opened its doors thirty years before.
To honour all those happy years, Ella plans to host a huge Christmas party to thank the community for its support, and to bring all her loyal customers and staff together for a major celebration.
She has spent weeks preparing; baking the cafe’s all time-favourite treats, Christmas favourites like mince pies and mulled wine, and decorating the cafe’s interior in the finest festive garb. Everything is set for it to be an amazing celebration of not just the cafe, but of life in Lakeview.
But Christmas week, only days before the party, Ella receives a devastating letter. Her landlord won’t be renewing her lease in the New Year, and her beloved cafe will have to close.
What will she tell her loyal customers? Will she have to start anew? Or is there any way Ella can save the business by harnessing support and convincing her landlord by Christmas that her cafe has a special place in Lakeview hearts and minds. A Kindle Unlimited Christmas Romance.

It was great reading about a woman taking care of her own life and finding love and friendship in the process.
Lightweight, easy to read, but predictable. Some of the grammar and wording tripped me up. Nice for a quick holiday story.
It was very predicatable.
Thought I figured out the plot and the unexpected happened!
I really enjoyed the Heartbreak Cafe story; however, for some reason I couldn’t get in to the Gift of a Lifetime. I am not sure why, the premise of the story was good but I just didn’t find myself wrapped up and swept away by the story as I often do with others.
Good read and story…I do think you will enjoy reading this.
Nice to read a book in which senior citizens fall in love. Centered around the Christmas season, it is full of holiday spirit, and the main characters are well developed. Some of the secondary characters are stereotypical, especially the “villains”. Will leave you feeling good.
Sweet story of finding love a second time around. Also theme of forgiveness and grace towards others in our lives.
This book was very heartwarming. It also had a bonus book THE GIFT OF A LIFETIME that was wonderful. Make sure to buy the bonus book. Worth the read! Great job Melissa Hill!
Loved this book
A good airplane book.
Very captivating characters and a sweet place to hangout.
Too predictable
Very good read.
A cozy that is entertaining, the lead character is a strong, determined woman and the surrounding characters both amuse and surprise. And most of all, the setting — as always— a small town but … aha …not in Maine but in Canada! How’s that for a switch. (Oh, I’m over-saturated too many cozies, I am now a cynic.) But if you haven’t dulled your taste with too many of this genre, you’ll enjoy this one — it has just a touch of feel good magic.
I really enjoyed the story, but very disappointed that it was only 1/4 of the book. No hint anywhere that it was a short story. It was very good though and would recommend it.
actually another book included. both romances… typos in the 2nd book, argh!
I enjoy a book that takes me to another place, and the Heartbreak Cafe did that with the location and the small town characters. The second book included was a fun story too… I enjoyed the Treasure hunt idea and the ending was a surprise to the mystery… They were both fun reading.
This was decent “novella”, not a book. Way to short for how it was advertised.
Was an easy and inspirational book when you are looking for something light and knowing it will leave you happy at the end.
