All either of them wants for Christmas are some jingle bells, to deck the halls, and for everyone to stop finding them dates.Macie Zimmerman would love to get married and start a family. But after so much searching, she’s sick of having hope that something will work out. All she needs is a good six months of no dating– time she could spend building her business, Paws and Relax, and hanging out … and hanging out with the animals who show her all the love she needs– to be able to face it again. If only she can keep everyone in town from trying to find her a husband.
High school teacher Aaron Hall plans to never get married. He got engaged once, and it turned out as awful as his parents’ marriage had. But that doesn’t stop all his married friends from trying to convince him otherwise. And worst of all, his students are now determined to find him a wife before the end of the school year.
This Christmas, Macie and Aaron are teaming up to make everyone believe they’re dating each other so they’ll quit trying to line them up with others. But as this fake relationship takes them to holiday parties, events around town, and his school’s winter formal, and “fake” starts to feel “real,” can they both overcome their own relationship fears?

She just needs a break from being set up, but he doesn’t want to be set up because he doesn’t want to marry. BUT, they make a good team as a fake couple.
While spending time together they learn about each other, stand beside each other—as teammates, of course. What do you mean they “both look like they’ve really fallen for each other?” 😀
I absolutely loved Macie and Aaron’s story! All of Meg Easton’s books are amazing but this one just might be my favorite. I would recommend it to any sweet romance book lover.
This was a cute sweet read. This is the first book I’ve read by this author. She definitely writes sweet romance. There was heart and sweetness. Macie and Austen had great chemistry. Minimal angst in this book. Austen had a past that made him only want casual relationships while Macie wanted it all, marriage and kids. They were both tired of well meaning friends and family setting them up. These two were definitely meant to meet and come up with a crazy plan. All worked in the end. Writing style was engaging and will read more by this author when I’m looking for a sweet romance book.
This was a cute, quick read! I enjoyed the fake relationship plot between Aaron and Macie and am not surprised they resorted to such measures with how invested everyone in their lives seemed to be with their love lives! I enjoyed the family interactions with their holiday traditions and of course, the slow burn romance. Great book to read around the holidays!
Fun. Funny. Adorable.
The characters are delightful . The setting is sweet. The premise is familiar, but still charmingly done. Definitely recommend.
I really enjoyed this story. Macie decides she not date for 6 months and then meets Aaron who has decided not to ever marry so they decide to “fake date” so people will leave them alone! Both characters were so fun and interesting! I’ve never read this series so I didn’t know anything about the people or town but now I want to read more! Macie and Aaron’s story was delightful!
Loved this story of Macie and Aaron!! I especially enjoyed the “fake” dating relationship!! Their banter, the added elements of animals and kids, and the high school students, all kept things hopping!! Kept me smiling, laughing, and wanting more!!
An enjoyable well written sweet clean fake holiday romance story. This engaging storyline is a nice easy read with two people who have very different views on love with a need to overcome their own insecurities. An heartwarming journey with amazing family interactions and great secondary cast members. The characters were well developed with unexpected chemistry in a wonderfully narrated story.
What a fun and absolutely adorable story. Love this couple and the bond they developed. Still loving this town! I received a free book from the author. My review is freely and honestly given
Christmas at the End of Main Street was simply beautiful! The narrator did a wonderful job of bringing every character to life. The story was entertaining and perfect for the Christmas season, and I certainly enjoyed getting to see Aaron and Macie pulling off their fake relationship in front of the whole town. I also loved that they got to grow and face their fears before finally being honest with one another about their feelings. It was also fun getting to see the interactions between such a large family as Macie’s, but I certainly loved the explanation of the stockings tradition.
Christmas at the End of Main Street is a wonderful, sweet Christmas romance. Following a chance meeting over brilliantly named ice cream Macie and Aaron agree to a fake relationship which will benefit them both in very different ways. Neither of them expected to fall for the other. The Christmas events are brilliantly described and wonderfully brilliant. The characters and places are so real that I really want to go to Nestled Hollow. The Zimmerman family are loud, competitive, boisterous and packed full of Love and joy… a highlight is the stockings!! The dogs and animals at Paws and Relax are delightful. The fun, laughter, love and sometimes sadness radiate from the pages of this book and keep you reading to the very end. This truly is a delightful book and I thoroughly recommend it to everyone, anytime. There is so much more to come from Nestled Hollow and I can’t wait for my next visit.
Macie and Aaron decide to take a break from relationships, so to get her family and friends and his students off their backs about finding someone they fake date each other. After his experiences with his divorced parents and a cheating ex-finance Aaron was very much anti-relationship. Macie wants to marry and have a family like her siblings someday, but she is exhausted after kissing so many frogs. They discover that they work well together and have that special spark, but can they overcome their insecurities to really be together? I loved Macie’s Paws and Relax business that allowed people, who can’t have pets or aren’t sure if they want to take on the commitment the opportunity to spend time with them. Since I recently lost my dog, I’m not sure if my heart wants to take on another, but I would love to visit a place like that. Aaron was a great teacher who really cares about his students enough to think about their stress levels and how Macie’s business could help them. I loved her wonder parents, crazy siblings and their precocious children, and the idea of the linked stockings. This was a sweet and funny Hallmark movie like Christmas romance.
A very cute, clean romance! Wonderful characters and a great story! I can’t wait to read more in this series! A definite must add to your TBR/LISTEN to list!
Aaron and Macie don’t want the stress of being alone during the holiday when everyone wants to set them up so they fake date each other knowing they each have completely different goals. Macie wants to marry and start a family after taking a break from dating. Aaron is a school teacher whose students want to see him married. But after seeing his parents disastrous marriage he never wants to marry. Except Macie May just change his views on marriage. They make a cute couple at Christmas. Great characters.
A Hallmark story to be sure. Maisey & Aaron make a fun couple. I love how the relationship grew. It was a short time but felt like it was much longer. Maisey’s family is my dream family.
Liz Krane did a fabulous job narrating. She was so natural it was easy to get lost in Nestled Hollow, CO.
I recieved a free Audible copy of this story, at my request, in exchange for a honest review.
A sweet Christmas romance that left me feeling very content.
Macie and Aaron make a pact to have a fake relationship, so they can avoid the constant matchmaking attempts thrown at them. Things are so easy when there’s no strings or expectations attached… but could feelings begin to change?
Meg Easton sets up a perfect strangers to friends to possibly more story. The characters are so real and lovable, you can’t help but root for them.
Liz Krane brought the story to the next level. I loved her energy and the way she brought out each character’s personality.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
I loved this charming holiday romance. I couldn’t put it down. Beautifully crafted sweet romance that included the importance of family. Meg has a gift for writing witty dialogue between her characters. I especially liked the part about linking all the family Christmas stockings to one another to create an ancestry family tree of sorts. What a creative idea!
Macie has been looking for her perfect husband since she was seventeen but now, after ten years, she is tired of everybody setting her up. Aaron has dated a lot but he is not interested in marriage but his students at NHH school are set to find a wife before the end of the year. Whenever Macie and Aaron meet by accident they agree to fake date in order to keep people pushing them to blind dates. Can they really face date or will they fall in love thanks to Christmas’s magic?
What could possibly go wrong with a fake romance around the Christmas holiday?! I adore these characters and the world of Nestled Hollow! This is such a fun sweet clean romance!
This was a cute audio about two individuals that seemingly wanted different things in their lives.
Macie Zimmerman, owner of Paw and Relax, wishes to get married and have kids, while high school teacher Aaron Hall has no plans of ever getting married. His parents tumultuous marriage was enough to discourage him from ever taking that route. Doesn’t mean his friends and students aren’t pushing him to find someone.
Macie needs a few months to dedicate to her business before looking for her someone special.
So these two decide the best answer for both is to have a fake relationship.
But what happens when feelings develop?
This was another entertaining story in the series.
