I admire every author for all their hard work. I enjoyed the story, and will read more books written by this author. The characters are adorable and the story telling is consuming. I escaped in a well-written romantic fictional world until I finished reading.
Sweet story
So boring
FAVORITE BOOK OF 2019!
Growing up, I never considered myself a female who enjoyed stories of princesses and princes. I didn’t get into fairy tales like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. My thing was best friends who fall in love like in “Some Kind Of Wonderful”
Something about this book appealed to me though, whether it was the idea of childhood friends falling in love or the fact that they didn’t get along so well…it worked for me! Gill and Kat had a beautiful story that at times; made me giddy and others made me sad or angry. I ran the gamut of emotions throughout the book and couldn’t put it down. Even when I was forced to go to work I thought about the story all day long. What would happen next between Prince Gill and his sisters childhood bestie, Kat. They had a rocky reunion built on mistrust by Gill and his mother and I found myself really hating how they treated her in the beginning. Gill eventually came around and the ultimate theme after that point became What will the Queen think?
The author captured perfectly the agonizing emotional roller coaster of this juxtaposition between Gill and Kat. The royal rules and hierarchy mingled with the duties of the throne. I kept hoping she wouldn’t wrap things up in a neat little bow and thankfully she penned a very satisfying conclusion I found myself loving. Both characters were fabulous. Gill was the perfect ass-hat turned gentleman and Kat was every bit the strong and sweet heroine I gravitate to. So selfless and kind you NEED her to get her time in the sun because she’s that amazing.
I loved everything about this book, from the secondary story of Sophie’s wedding and details to the epilogue leading up to the next book in the series. I didn’t know this was a part of a series but it worked well as a standalone if you just want to read this one. I myself intend to go back and get the other stories just as soon as I dive into ladies’ man Jamie’s book next. If you love a good fairy tale-esque ending then you’ll not want to pass this book up!
Sweet story
A fun romance read. Loved the characters and pups! A great story setting.
Into the book from beginning to end!
Great commoner to Dr. to princess story. Character building is very good and the conversation is realistic. It does give a good look into a world that fascinates most of us, showing the political and economical pressures brought to bear upon the royals. Definitely recommend.
This is your basic simple Cinderella story with a happy ending. Perfect for a cold winter day I’ve, xmas) when you need a bit of cheering up!
I enjoyed it very much
I did not want to put the book down once I started reading it! I loved the characters. They were very believable.
I loved reading this “happily ever after” story. The way the characters treat each other for years and then find true love is outstanding.
This was an enjoyable Christmas story. Very entertaining.
Loved this book. It was entertaining & fun.
The main male character seemed to have a chip on his shoulder for no reason. It was evident he had interest in the heroine but his dislike of her felt forced to me. I liked her a lot. He finally grew on me. I would have like more character development especially with his shrew of a mother. But is was an enjoyable read.
Touching read. Kat befriends a girl when they were 8 at a summer camp not knowing she was a princess. Fast forward to Kat flying to Europe to be the girl’s bridesmaid. The queen hates Kat and so does the princess’s brother. They both see her as after a prince of her own. Can Kat keep the Princess stress free until the wedding without ending up in the castle’s dungeon?
It was a very nice story I enjoyed it very much
So I got this as a freebie, and I read it out of sequence because its Christmas and I have been indulging in holiday madness. LOVED IT! Melissa McClone has a great voice and her characters were all fun and quirky! Sophie and Bertram had a wedding worthy of any princess fantasy you have ever had. Gill and Kat made a great team. I also really loved that both of them were big into Christmas. I’m a bit of a Grinch when it comes to holiday decorating, so I really enjoyed that the male lead in this one was the Cindy Lou Who of the story. I will be looking for more books in this series!
Fun
