In the town of Silver Bells, there’s always a feeling of Christmas in the air… Let love—and RaeAnne Thayne—melt your heart this holiday season! This New Year will bring widowed nurse Abigail Powell a fresh start in a different city. Excited about the chance to create an unforgettable Christmas for her young son in picturesque Silver Bells, Colorado, Abby has been hired to take care of her dear … to take care of her dear friend’s recuperating grandmother. But sprightly senior Winnie insists she doesn’t need looking after. What she does need is help decorating her historic mansion, Holiday House, for a seasonal town fundraiser. Abby warms to the festive task, but she’ll have to contend with her own personal Grinch: Winnie’s prickly grandson, Ethan Lancaster.
Ethan Lancaster is good at a lot of things. Relationships surely aren’t one of them. His ex-fiancée convinced Ethan he was incapable of love, and he believes her…up until the moment he impulsively kisses Abby. What is it about this vibrant woman and her sweet son that knocks his world off-kilter? He knows they’re leaving town after Christmas. He just didn’t expect they’d be taking a little of his heart with them. But as he and Abby work together on the magical Holiday House through the record cold weather, visions of a different future dance in his head…one filled with warmth, love and a new beginning for them both.
Don’t miss Thayne’s next release, The Path to Sunshine Cove: three love stories in one with the emotional pull of Debbie Macomber, Barbara Delinsky and Susan Wiggs!

What’s better than one Christmas romances? Two! Ethan and Abby’s romance is primary, but Lucy and Jose get their story told too. Ethan and Lucy are siblings whose pasts have most certainly affected their love lives, particularly their parents’ bitter divorce which has made them feel like they aren’t capable of love. Their growth in that department when they find the right person is what makes this book so good. Grandma Winnie and little Christopher add some lighthearted fun to the story. There was some repetition on the “should we/shouldn’t we” part of the romance, but not enough to truly detract from the story.
A sweet story perfect for Christmas.
I totally enjoyed it
Loved this Christmas story of a woman who lost her husband two years ago and does not expect to find such a love again and a man who was dumped by his fiancee who told him he was broken and unable to love. There are a lot of twists in this story. Abby Powell goes to Silver Belles, Colorad, with her five year old son to help her best friend’s grandmother who had a bad fall and needs care. It sounds like a chance to get away and celebrate the holiday season in a winter wonderland so it comes as a surprise to Abby that she is decorating a mansion for a series of historical tours and seasonal music for a fundraiser. Then there is the grandson who warms her heart.
If you love romance, close knit towns, and holidays this book is for you. Wonderful characters and a town of Silver Bells Colorado that you can fall in love with too. Abby(Abigail) Powell is a nurse who lost her husband to a tragic event. She had to remain strong to help raise their little boy Christopher. When her best friend Lucy calls and needs a caregiver to help take care of her Grandmother she of course says yes. Abby meets Ethan Lancaster while caring for his Grandmother and first impressions aren’t always what they seem. This book gives a two for one romance you can’t beat! I couldn’t put this book down.
A favor for a friend changes Abby’s life in ways she never dreamed of.
A well told story with characters you will call in love with. At least I did
RaeAnne Thayne does Christmas Perfection!

Christmas at Holiday House is a true delight. It gave off so many warm Christmas vibes that should be shared all year round. I’ve never met a RaeAnne Thayne book that I haven’t enjoyed immensely.
I knew where the story would end early on but enjoyed the journey to the end
A charming Christmas story. RaeAnne Thayne writes such heartwarming holiday stories. I hope this is made into a Hallmark movie. The author has a talent for creating sentimental scenes that are so inspirational.
A light and entertaining holiday read. Characters you can care about. A plot with some twists but a satisfying resolution. Escape the dreariness of rel life for a day of romance and family and community.
I am a real fan of the whole series. This one didn’t disappoint.

Christmas at Holiday House is a fabulous heartwarming holiday story.
Abagail Powell a widow and single mom of a 5 yr old little boy named Christopher and wants to give him the best Christmas and memories that she can give him. She is a nurse and doing the best she can for her and son since she lost her husband. She had driven Phoenix to Silver Bells, Colorado to help her friend out on the day before Thanksgiving. When she had got there she got a facetime from Lucy Lancaster. But what she didn’t she didn’t know was besides help her grandmother Winifred Lancaster she also needed help with other things. Winnie grandson Ethan Lancaster wanted to have her in a rehab facility that will help his grandmother with her injuries she received from her fall and now she is telling Ethan that is what Abagail is here for. Abby was there to help Winnie and she even helped her prepare Thanksgiving dinner. Abby slept in a little bit an when she woke up Christopher was telling her that Winnie didn’t want to disturb her. Abby got up showered and dressed and went out to the kitchen. When she got out into the kitchen she found Winnie kneading bread Abby went and got her favorite chair and foot stole and had her telling her how she wanted to do things.
Ethan Lancaster was still against his grandmother making Thanksgiving dinner but Abby was there to help her. He showed up for Thanksgiving Dinner and helped with the clean up. After everyone was gone Winnie asked Ethan to show Abby the rest of the house. He gave her some of The Lancaster history and showed her the rooms and the names that went with the rooms. Finally they got to the last floor which was the Attic and where all the trees where that she had to put up . He told her there was and elevator for her to take things up and down with. They got ready to go back downstairs and Abby had tripped and Ethan had caught her.
Lucy Lancaster was a teacher and new many languages and had gone all over the world. Lucy was one of the girls who was never going to get married or fall in love because of her parents. Lucy was in love but just couldn’t admit to herself.
Abby had decorated he rooms with the help of Winnie’s Silver Bells girls. The only thing that was left the 25 foot tree in the Great room and Winnie asked Ethan on to help Abby decorate because she was afraid of heights. Ethan didn’t want to but he did and when it was done they shut off all the lights and they thought they did a pretty good job of it. Then Abby went and looked out the window and it was starting to snow. Abby told him that there was someone coming to decorate the outside for Winnie.
Abby wanted to make as many memories as she could while in Silver Bells. So someone mentioned tubing and skiing. Well Winnie asked Ethan if he could arrange it and he said he could. She meant take them. Christopher was getting attached so Ethan took them tubing and had a blast and Abby was working on getting over her fear of heights.
Then Christmas at Holiday House came so quick it was there before they new it. Then Lucy was home and Abby was ready to head back to Phoenix but Lucy talk her into staying until Christmas. They had Rodrigo Birthday which was The Ginger Bread house contest and one more of the Christmas at Holiday House tour. Then Christmas Eve had come and Ethan last minute shopping and all that was to be done for Christmas at Holiday House for the family.
This was a very emotional and it keeps you thinking what is going to happen as you keep turning the page until the very last one. I could see myself in the book going tubing and skiing each description made me feel like I that would be awesome to try. RaeAnne put heart in this book with it being around a special needs person I had my heart tug in all directions .
I recommend this book as on of my Favorite Christmas books.
I adore a good holiday romance and this story has two of them. With each new book I become more of a RaeAnne Thayne fan; she writes characters I love and I always want to visit her small town settings.
I read an advanced copy of this book
Another feel good book and will get you into the holiday spirit. This book shows you that you always can open your heart and what a better time than at Christmas. Abby, a widow, with a son coming to Silver Bells to help out a friend and gets more Christmas spirit than she could hope for. Ethan and his sister Lucy didn’t have the best role models for love, but Christmas is always the best time to open your heart.
