This Christmas, there’s plenty of room at the inn Nestled in the snow-covered Sangre de Cristo Mountains near Santa Fe, the Grey Sage Inn is the perfect place for an unlikely group of traveling companions to spend a couple of days on their Christmas trip. There’s plenty to see in historic Santa Fe during the day, and the inn’s owners, Maude and Silas, are happy to spend their evenings hosting … their evenings hosting this year’s guests from across the country.
But an unusual snowstorm throws a wrench in the plans of these folks who were escaping Christmas at home. The sprawling inn becomes close quarters as the innkeepers and stranded guests discover this won’t be the Christmas they planned. Tension and fear mount as the storm worsens, and a sudden crisis disrupts the normally peaceful haven. The snow and stress unlock tongues — and in the unexpected conversation that follows, secrets and pasts are revealed, and hearts are healed.
Amidst snowdrifts and fireside conversations of days gone by, the warmth of this Christmas brings renewed hope as trapped strangers become friends — proof again that the joy, hope, peace, and love of Christmas can be experienced no matter where you are.

This was one of those books you curl up and read feeling good when you are finished.
I really want to go to Grey Sage to spend Christmas. The characters there are people I would love to get to know. I think I would like to be one of the returning guests as one of the unlikely Christmas travelers.
There is a very eclectic group of characters who visit this B&B. They get snowed in and have to spend Christmas together. The development of the characters was well done and it made for interesting reading. Nice to read over the holidays especially.
If you like character studies and visiting (or revisiting) favorite places, you will love this book. The setting is in and around Santa Fe, NM and the information about the places visited is on target. The main character is an artist who has turned their home into an Inn. The visitors are people who, in their own way, are trying to avoid Christmas at home. This book is about friendship and loyalty and art and what makes up family and home. If you live for dialogue, you’ll think the book moves slowly. If you love people and why they become who they are, you will love this book.
I almost skipped this read…just another fluffy Christmas romance. I’m soooo glad I didn’t make that mistake. I have never found myself looking up things while reading a fiction, but did here. It was a wonderful read…now I am trying to get my husband to sit still long enough for me to read it to him!
This book captured me from the beginning to the end. It was one of my favorite books of the year and a wonderful read for this time of the year. Very interesting and wonderful characters!
While reading this book I felt like I was watching a movie, and it kept getting better and better, and we are staying the Grey Sage Inn in New Mexico.
The author has us focus on the owners, who in their grief, have spent the past twenty years avoiding home for the holidays, this year their plans are a cruise, but have opened their Inn for a few days before, reluctantly.
We quickly learn the true meaning of Christmas, and God seems to have other plans here for all, just wait for the train to come out, and have some tissues handy.
A warm-hearted Christmas read to treasure and enjoy and share, and one I will be reading and enjoying.
I received this book through Litfuse Publicity Book Tours, and was not required to give a positive review.
