A heartwarming Christmas story filled with the magic and miracles of the holiday season by USA Today Bestselling author, Nancy Naigle. Growing up, Liz Westmoreland dreamed of taking over her grandparents inn located in the small mountain town of Antler Creek only for it to be sold before she ever got the chance. While browsing the internet, she stumbles upon a listing for what looks to be the … what looks to be the picturesque inn and it’s set to go to auction. Liz places a bid, and by a miracle, wins the auction. But when she gets there she finds the property in significant disrepair.
When Matt Hardy narrowly lost the inn and property that butted his land, he just hoped it wasn’t another city slicker coming to make matters worse after the previous owners gutted the place for an art gallery. But the minute he recognized the sweet, freckle-faced girl from his childhood and heard her plans to reopen the inn, he jumps at the chance to help his childhood crush restore a place where he made so many fond memories.
While working on repairs, Liz and Matt discover her grandmother’s collection of angels in one of the cabins. When the angels start mysteriously showing up all over the inn, she begins to look at them as reassurance–that restoring the inn is what she’s meant to do. But when an accident leaves Liz feeling like she made a mistake, will Matt–and the residents of Antler Creek–be able to show Liz that she’s found a home? And possibly true love as well?

I love Christmas books and I love Nancy Naigle and this one is extra special! It has everything you could want. A big goofy dog, his love hurt master, a beautiful stongheaded woman and a great small town! The perfect making for the best story! You will love it, thanks Nancy!
Yes…I am one of those people. One of those people that love Hallmark Christmas movies. And Christmas books. And just everything Christmas. I could watch the movies and read the books year-round and be perfectly happy. And one of my favorite Christmas book authors is Nancy Naigle. Her characters are usually not so full of themselves that they can’t grow and change. The small towns and the books’ worlds are described in enough detail that I can literally see it in my mind. And the stories are always heart-warming. Christmas Angels was definitely no exception!
Matt is just one of those all-around great guys. Always willing to help a friend in need without complaint. And while Liz might be a city girl by this town’s standards, she’s also a part of its history and part of a beloved family to the townspeople. The fact that she’s back to restore the town’s beloved inn/B&B makes her even more accepted and loved in Antler Creek.
NICUnurse’s Rating: I’m just corny enough that I could see each scene play out in my head, complete with Hallmark Christmas worthy music in the background. It’s a heartwarming story of finally following your dream and finding the man of your dreams in the process. If you don’t love Hallmark Christmas movies, this book might not be your cup of tea, but if you are like me and DO like them, this will be a book you do not want to miss, especially during the holiday season!
I give Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle 4.5 stars!
This small town, feel good contemporary romance is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.
When Liz buys her grandparents’ form inn at auction, sight unseen, she doesn’t realize she’s taken on more than she bargained for. At least not at first. It’s painfully obvious the first time she visits Angel’s Rest in person. Matt also bid on the inn with a much better understanding of the work required to bring the place back to its former glory.
With major renovations, townspeople who support and encourage their own, and a little holiday magic, Liz finds the home she’s missed in the city and relives the happy memories she has of her grandparents.
Christmas Angels has Hallmark movie written all over it. If you spend your November and December counting down to Christmas, this one’s for you.

Reading Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle was like reading a Hallmark movie rather than watching. This heartwarming Christmas story is filled with the joy, magic and miracles of the holiday season.
Growing up, Liz Westmoreland was happiest when she spent time visiting her grandparents at their inn in a small mountain town. Since then, it has been her dream to run the inn and when she accidently encounters it for sale on an auction site grabs it, sight unseen. As one might expect, the property and buildings are not in the best of shape and in need of a lot of work to return the inn to its former glory. After losing the inn and the land that adjoins his, Matt Hardy is hoping that the new owner appreciates the place unlike the previous. Imagine his surprise when he recognizes his childhood crush as he jumps at the chance to restore and renovate the place that produced so many wonderful memories. While working on the repairs Liz and Matt encounter her grandmother’s collection of angels, in one of the cabins. As these angels start mysteriously appearing all over the inn, Liz looks at them as a sign; that restoring the inn is what she is meant to do. When an accident leaves Liz feeling that she made a mistake, it takes Matt and the residents of Antler Creek to show her that she not only found a home but also finally found true love.
Ms. Naigle wrote a sweet love story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sexual chemistry, wonderful dialogue, and endearing characters giving Liz and Matt a chance at happiness by creating a forever love. I highly recommend Christmas Angels to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle is a heartwarming Christmas story set in a small town in North Carolina that opens its heart to a newcomer or maybe to a returning member. Liz Westmoreland spent summers and holidays in Antlers Creek with her grandparents.
Liz had always dreamed of returning to Antlers Creek to take over and run Angels Rest because of all the wonderful memories of the times spent with her grandparents. When her grandparents sold the lodge, Liz began a search for another place to create a lodge just like her grandparent’s. Imagine her surprise when she finds that the Antlers Creek lodge is up for auction and she wins the bid. Liz returns to Antlers Creek to run Angels Rest. When she arrives and sees the property she is shocked. The interior does not look the same but she is determined to restore it so that she can fulfill her dream.
Will Liz be able to restore Angels Rest to its glory? Are memories of a young girl enough to help the adult Liz see her dream come true?
And what of the townspeople, will they be happy about her wanting to restore Angels Rest? In a small town where everyone knows everyone, will they accept her or will they see her as an outsider?
It is the interaction with the town that makes this a heartwarming story of neighbors helping neighbors. After finishing the book, I found myself wanting to try small town living.
I highly recommend this book. It is a story of dreams coming true, of friendship and of love. It is a story of being open to life and to change. The story is well written with wonderful characters. The story made me smile.

Linda’s Book Obsession Reviews “Christmas Angels” by Nancy Naigle, St. Martin’s Press, Oct. 2019
Nancy Naigle, author of “Christmas Angels” has written a delightful, memorable, entertaining and delightful novel. The Genres for this novel are Fiction, Women’s Fiction, and Romance. I love the way the author vividly describes the location of the mountains and the small town of Angels Creek. The timeline for this story is set in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events. The author describes her cast of characters as friendly, kind, helpful and caring. Of course, I love Elvis, a puppy that just keeps growing, steals your attention and has a special personality.
Liz Westmoreland is a successful businesswoman who has been able to save her money for a special dream. Liz has always wanted a marriage like those of her deceased grandparents. She would also like to have an inn similar to the one her grandparents had owned in Angels Creek, where she has the fondest memories of fishing and spending time with her grandparents. When she notices that the inn is listed for auction, Liz enters and wins the auction.
Liz is in for a rude awakening when she views what was her grandparent’s Inn years ago. It needs a tremendous amount of TLC and money spent to repair it. Liz meets Matt Hardy, who had an interest in the property as well. He remembers Liz when she was visiting her grandparents.
After a terrible accident, Liz starts doubting whether it will be possible to restore the inn. Liz does find several angels that make her question her decisions. I appreciate that the author discusses the importance of family, friends, neighbors, kindness, love, and hope. I would recommend this heartwarming novel.
This is such a wonderful Christmas story that is so touching. Liz is a great project manager that gets paid well and is loved by her company. Liz’s love is her grandparents lodge in the North Carolina mountains that was sold years ago. Ms. Naigle’s writing brings all the scenery to life. I want to be there too! I like to think that Liz saw an opportunity to do something about her grandparents place because an Angel was looking over her. It is so sweet that Matt, who now has a house near her grandparents olde lodge, had a crush on Liz when he was younger. I loved that they have a chance to get to know each other. Matt’s puppy Elvis is a real sweetheart and steals a lot of the scenes! I would love to live in a town like Ms. Naigle describes. The people are so ready to help anyone when needed. This book really made me think about how I should do all I can to help others no matter where I live. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
This is a perfect heart-warming Christmas romance! I loved every about Christmas Angels. Hallmark needs to jump on this book ASAP!
Nancy Naigle did a beautiful job with her descriptions and character development. I felt like I was right there in Antler Creek.

Liz Westmoreland is a well-to-do Project Manager in charge of new store launchings. She lives the big city life in Charlotte, North Carolina but her dream is to own and run a lodge or a B&B like her grandparents did when she was growing up. Staying with them are some of the happiest memories she has.
So she doesn’t believe it’s coincidence that she spots an auction notice of her grandparent’s old lodge in rural North Carolina. She’s been saving her money so bids on it – and wins, sight unseen.
This has become one of my favorite Christmas stories. Nostalgia for the past, small town life and wonderful neighbors, and a slow growing romance all combine to make it a winner on my list.
I highly recommend this story to lovers of Christmas stories and romance.
I received this book from St. Martin’s Press through Net Galley and Edelweiss in the hopes that I would read it and leave an unbiased review.
This is a heartwarming story. It is a holiday romance full of warmth and heart. This feel good story pulls you in and the characters keep you entertained until the end. Matt and Liz were endearing characters and a wonderful couple. I would definitely recommend this heartwarming story.
Sometimes, fate is on your side. Liz stumbles upon her grandparents inn and bids on it sight-unseen. But, it’s not quite how she remembered it, almost a money pit. She discovers Matt through a new friend, and he helps her renovate the inn and cottages.
Angels appear–her grandmother had collected them–in the most unusual of places. A sign of hope for the inn, especially when things seem to go wrong. But, working with Matt is everything right, and the town has embraced her, bringing life and light back to their mountain town. Matt and she love the town and all of the Christmas magic, and hopefully, they will find a way into each other’s hearts.
A wonderful, slow burn, Christmas romance.

Liz Westmoreland dreamed of taking over her grandparent’s inn when she grew up, but it was sold before she ever got a chance to make that dream a reality. Year later she comes across the very same inn up for auction and buys it on the spot. Not realizing exactly how much it has been neglected over the years or how much work will need to be put into it in order for her dreams to come true. Matt Hardy tried to purchase the land and inn that was next to his own property but lost the auction to a higher bid. But when he recognizes just who bought the inn, he decides to help her restore it to what it was before and hopefully get to spend time with the woman he had a crush on so many years before.
This was definitely a sweet Christmas type read. Liz and Matt are beyond sweet with each other and willing to help when it’s needed. The side characters are also sweet and go above and beyond. It just felt like it was specifically written in order to be seen as a Hallmark movie. And while a lot of people will love that and love those types of movies-unfortunately I am not one of them. It was too slow for me and I felt like they dwelt in the past way too much. It was written ok, but it’s not definitely not my cup of tea.
Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle
Acknowledgements start this book out first.
Starts out with Liz and she’s so good at her job she’s stockpiled money for the right time in her life.
She works with Dan as he has many contacts to help make her job easier. She coordinates and makes things happen, faster and cheaper than quoted prices.
She learns her grandparents house will be for sale and she places and wins the bid online. When she arrives she sees just the shape of things-she goes on temporary leave-at least til after the Christmas holidays and lines up workers to fix everything.
She has the money to cover it all but it’s all the small things that made the difference to me.
Snow bowling-who knew! Angels in the snow are memorable as my mother was a quilter and a major collector of angels in all shapes and sizes. The contractor goes above and beyond…
Love the night before Christmas similar to when Joseph and Mary went looking for a manger or anywhere to stay and Liz has that solution. What a connection to the real meaning of Christmas.
Love how the village all come together to make not only her dream come true but so much more…So many memories of our childhood is in this story-priceless!
Can’t wait to read more from this author.

Received this review copy via publicist via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed this story. I loved our heroine, Liz Westmoreland, and enjoyed being along with her on her journey, sometimes an adventure, in going back to where she was happiest, Angels Rest. The locals in Antler Creek definitely made this story come to life and I liked how they were all there and came together to help Liz, especially with Matt Hardy leading the charge. Nancy Naigle’s books always make me feel like I’m right in the middle of everything going on and I definitely felt this way while reading this book. I liked that Matt was helping Liz make her dream come true but when she ran into trouble, he was right there taking care of her, with some help from his sister, as well as pulling off the surprise of a lifetime to show her that she had made the right decision with Angels Rest. The connection between Liz and Matt was also a perfect part of this story as was Liz finding the angels in various locations and realizing how they had gotten to where they ‘landed’. I have to admit, I really didn’t care for Dan but glad he came around in the end. This is definitely a perfect holiday story and it had me crying happy tears more than once. My favorite quote from this book was, “And you’ll always be safe to spread your wings and fly under the mistletoe with me.” Great story by Nancy Naigle.
I loved getting into a holiday mind frame, dreaming of Christmas is the mountains with hot chocolate and twinkle lights. This lovely story was just the balm I needed while I sweltered in this 100° heat. Liz and Matt’s story was sweet and hopeful and full of slow burning feels.
Magical Christmas Romance! Heartwarming and delightful with a sweet and tender romance filled with childhood dreams, first crushes, family and love. Reading this was a great way to get into the christmas spirit. This is the first story by Nancy Naigle that I have had the pleasure of reading and it definitely wont be my last.
Liz Westmore worked hard launching store openings for the finest chains around the world and although she made a lot of money doing it she didn’t love her job. That’s why she had been saving for years to have a place just like her Grandparents had when they owned “Angels Rest”. As she scanned B&B’s and house on a online auction site there it was “Angels Rest”and it was going to be auctioned off the next day. Was it fate? So when she had the winning bid the next day it was like her grandparents and a team of angels were helping her.
But when she arrives in Antler Creek it is anything but a dream when she comes face to face with the run down memory. But with the help of a man who had a crush on her years ago, from when they were kids, she just might have a chance at more than just being a owner of a B&B. This story brings a small town together and supplies a fantastic Christmas story that you soon will not forget. Great secondary characters that are what everyone needs in their life.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this story. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Nancy Naigle has written another heartwarming small town Christmas story. The wonderful, giving people who live Antler Creek made me long for the simpler pleasures of life in a small town. The book is rich with Christmas traditions. It definitely put me in the Christmas spirit.
Liz Westmoreland has dreams of reopening Angels Rest, a quaint country inn that her grandparents built and owned until her grandfather’s health started to fail. Liz has many wonderful memories of time spent with her grandparents at Angels Rest. When the inn is being sold at auction, she bids on the inn sight unseen…and wins. She is excited to reopen the inn. When she sees the condition of Angels Rest, her hopes start to crumble.
Matt Hardy is a building contractor who also bid on the inn. When he finds out that the person who bought the inn is a girl he has had a crush on since he was thirteen, he answers Liz’s ad requesting proposals to rebuild the inn.
Christmas Angels can be read at any time of the year, but I recommend reading it during the Christmas holidays. I definitely captures the magic of Christmas. I was captivated by this book from beginning to end.
I received a copy of Christmas Angels from the publisher and the author through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts expressed are my own.
A lovely, sweet Christmassy story with small town folk, neighbourliness and angels.
Liz was devastated when her grandparents sold their mountain lodge and over the years it became her dream to one day have a similar lodge and give up the rat race for a slower pace of life. Then one evening as she was trawling through an auction site she comes across a picture and low and behold, it is her grandparents old place and the auction is the very next day. With no time to do an inspection, she buys the place sight unseen. When she gets into the place she is horrified that the interiors have been ripped out and there is a lot more worked than she had planned for. However the town and Matt Hardy in particular, make her feel welcome and bolster her belief in a restored Angels Rest.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book will give you those Christmas feels. I absolutely loved Christmas Angels. It is such a sweet and heartwarming Christmas time read. It is perfect to get you into the holiday spirit. Nancy Naigle just brings in this magic to the holidays that you can’t help but fall in love with. Matt and Liz are just so wonderful. I love how well they work together restoring Liz’s family inn. Matt is so sweet and swoon-worthy with every little thing he does for Liz even when she is having doubts. Liz is wonderful. I love how involved she gets with the small town. She has this heart you can’t help but to be drawn to. You feel the chemistry and the fight to act on it between Liz and Matt almost from the start. I love the slow burn and the sweetness throughout. This book is just perfect to kick back and curl up with some hot chocolate on a cool fall/winter day. It is such a wonderful read.
