A heartwarming Christmas story filled with the magic and miracles of the holiday season by USA Today Bestselling author, Nancy Naigle. Growing up, Liz Westmoreland dreamed of taking over her grandparents inn located in the small mountain town of Antler Creek only for it to be sold before she ever got the chance. While browsing the internet, she stumbles upon a listing for what looks to be the … what looks to be the picturesque inn and it’s set to go to auction. Liz places a bid, and by a miracle, wins the auction. But when she gets there she finds the property in significant disrepair.
When Matt Hardy narrowly lost the inn and property that butted his land, he just hoped it wasn’t another city slicker coming to make matters worse after the previous owners gutted the place for an art gallery. But the minute he recognized the sweet, freckle-faced girl from his childhood and heard her plans to reopen the inn, he jumps at the chance to help his childhood crush restore a place where he made so many fond memories.
While working on repairs, Liz and Matt discover her grandmother’s collection of angels in one of the cabins. When the angels start mysteriously showing up all over the inn, she begins to look at them as reassurance–that restoring the inn is what she’s meant to do. But when an accident leaves Liz feeling like she made a mistake, will Matt–and the residents of Antler Creek–be able to show Liz that she’s found a home? And possibly true love as well?

Is it ever too early to read Christmas books – the correct answer is NO! and I won’t take any other.
Christmas Angels is a sweet, beautiful tale of going after your dreams.
Childhood dreams of family and places are what drive our lovely lady Liz. The place radiates everything she has always love and what she has dreamed of for years. And I can’t blame her I want to move with her.
And then there is Matt. Oh my gosh, that man! Move over Liz, I am trying to get that man for myself.
I love the small town vibe of Christmas Angels. The sense of community is something you just don’t get living in bigger towns or cities.
This was a slow burn of a romance, but it didn’t feel dragged out. Our lovelies just took their time to get there.
Now i need some hot chocolate, STAT!
If you are looking for a well written sweet and touching Christmas story , this one is for you.
Liz Westmoreland and Matt Hardy met as children, when Liz would visit her grandparents Bed and Breakfast. Years later they meet again, when she returns to her grandparents town hoping to buy their inn and restore it. But she’s getting overwhelm and Matt offers to help. This is the start of a future neither expected.
It’s not a fast paced, action filled story. It’s more an unrushed walk through the lives of these two and the town people. Creating a dream and finding hope and happiness in the end. A lovely story for the holiday season.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
4* Sweet Angel Stars
This slow burn romance between Liz and Matt was heartfelt and realistic. The secondary characters that surrounded Matt and Liz were loveable and caring. I wished that I was part of this wonderful town where everyone joined forces to make sure that the Christmas spirit of the past was bought back again for all to enjoy.
This was such a sweet good feel story that will leave you happy and looking forward to sharing Christmas with your family and friends.

What a lovely sweet feel good book. It would make a perfect Hallmark movie. Liz is living her life with work filled days wondering “what if”. Her favorite place in the world was Angels Inn, the lovely old fashioned country inn that belonged to her beloved, kind wonderful grandparents and held the best memories of her life. When her grandparents sold the inn it was a bleak day in her life and all she ever wanted was to be able to buy it to recreate the warm loving memories of yesteryear. She is a country girl successfully living a great city life
yet underneath the facade of happy, she questioning her choices regularly. She loves her job and is great at it, but questioning on whether it is how she wants to spend the rest of her life. When she is being honest with herself she knows the true answer is an overwhelming NO. Not even a teeny tiny bit! In the blink of an eye with no time to think logically or rationally she finds her precious inn up for auction and sight unseen places a bid and wins. She packs up her Range Rover and heads to see the inn. Join Liz on the journey of rehabbing
herself, the inn, becoming reacquainted with the town while trying to gracefully and comfortably fit in, rekindling old friendships, creating new ones, meeting Matt, a wonderful man who lost the bid on the inn, but winds up with so much more. Enjoy the read. Perfect holiday HEA.
Before Christmas, I especially want books for the mood. And Christmas Angels is just such a book: fun and exciting. I read it in three evenings and with great pleasure.
Such a wonderful holiday read. It definitely gave me all the feels. Liz and Matt are Hallmark-perfect for each other. It really put me in the mood to binge watch some Christmas movies.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor.
Such a beautiful Christmas love story. I am blown away by the beauty described and the magic that was sprinkled throughout. I’m not talking about paranormal magic but the magic that occurs during Christmas when people are kind and work together to make the spirit of Christmas come alive.
Christmas Angels is a clean read with no sex and very few curse words. I would have no problems letting a teen girl read this Christmas romance.
If you loved Nancy Naigle’s Christmas in Evergreen books then you need to hurry and snatch Christmas Angels up for this Christmas season. You won’t be sorry. Your heart will thank you.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher, St. Martin’s Press, through NetGalley. Any and all opinions expressed in the above review are entirely my own.
This book touched me in so many ways that I don’t know where to begin, except to say that this book is a keeper and needs to be read over and over again. I smiled and cried and cheered and remembered a lot of my own childhood Christmas and how special different events were. Antler Creek and especially Angel’s Rest have always held a very special place in Liz’s heart and when she gets the chance to purchase Angel’s Rest back, as it had once belonged to her grandparents, she jumps on it and buys it from an online auction. Unfortunately once she arrives, she discovers that previous owners basically destroyed the interior of the lodge. Fortunately she is put in touch with Matt who has fond memories of his own of Angel’s Rest and Liz and Liz’s grandparents. Matt and the residents of Antler’s creek come together to help Liz make her dream come true of reopening the Lodge and the traditions that her grandparents had, especially the Christmas light display. Liz finds pieces of her grandmother’s angel collection left in different places and takes those as a sign that she is doing the right thing, but then she accidentally breaks her ankle and she takes that as a sign that maybe she didn’t make the right decision. It will take a lot of help from a lot of special “angels” including a very special dog named Elvis to help Matt show Liz that she is where she belongs. Read to see if Liz will come around and embrace her dream again also read to see just how many lives can be touched by the simplest things. This story reminded me that one can never know just how far reaching one act can travel.
Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read an ARC of this book. The above is my honest and freely given opinion.
Oh my Goodness I loved this book. I really could not put this book down. I felt like I just flew through it. This book totally put me into the Christmas spirit and I loved the small town feel of the book. The whole time I was reading it I kept thinking this would make a good hallmark movie. I loved how everyone came together to help each other out and it was truly about helping others then anything else. I also loved that this book was a good clean read and would be suitable for all. I loved how no matter what Liz faced she was a huge fighter. Matt had such a big heart for all as well. I loved Krissy and I hope her story is next omg I can only imagine what trouble she can get into. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion
A sweet community christmas romance
Liz is ready to leave the city behind and return to her roots when she discovers her grandparents’ old inn up for auction. Restoring the property turns out to be far more involved than she anticipated, but she’s got the help of neighbor Matt, who remembers her from their childhood visits to Angels Rest, and all the backup she could want from a small town anxious to see the beloved inn restored and running again.
The story couldn’t be sweeter, with a hint of Christian overtones but nothing too heavy-handed. The strength of the story is in the way the community rises to the challenge to help her, both in small gestures and in life-altering sacrifices. Both Liz and Matt have a bit of baggage to overcome, providing a little angst to the story. There’s plenty of humor and a full cast of lovable, small-town characters, and just enough holiday cheer to make you want to string your own set of sparkling lights. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
How could anyone not believe in Christmas magic while reading this book?
Liz always wanted to run her grandparents’ inn and she finally gets a chance when she finds it up for auction. But it needs a lot of work and she can’t do it alone. She gets help from her childhood friend Matt, who also wanted the inn. Matt has a crush on Liz when they were younger and is more than happy to help her out. While working together, they also find themselves falling in love.
This magical tale played through my mind as I was reading it, like a Hallmark channel movie. Beautifully told, mesmerizing and an all-around, feel good Christmas story.
Thank you to St Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

Christmas Angels was my first Nancy Naigle book, but it won’t be my last. I enjoyed her writing quite a bit.
Liz Westmoreland grew up visiting her grandparents inn in the mountains of North Carolina and her dream was always to take over the inn and run it herself, but sadly her grandparents made the decision years before to sell it and Liz never had that chance. Now living in Charlotte, she finds out the night before the Inn is going to auction that it could be hers once and for all. She makes the decision to bid on it sight unseen and while everyone might think she’s crazy, she’s so happy she can’t contain it!
When she realizes that the previous owners have gutted the property and it needs a tremendous amount of work in order to restore it to its previous glory, she takes the advice of some locals and goes to a local to help her fix it back up. What she doesn’t know is that Matt Hardy not only bid on the Inn himself, he also had a crush on Liz back in the day when they were kids and it hasn’t faded over the years.
As the two work on the Inn to restore it, they spend time together and sparks begin to fly between them. Even though the sparks were there, it took time for Liz to really believe that Matt could see anything in her. Matt pulled out all of the stops to make sure that she really believed him and believed that she was on the right path for her future.
I really enjoyed this book and it certainly put me in the holiday spirit even if it was a bit early for Christmas!!

What a fabulous Christmas story! The story was full of hope and working to achieve your dreams. It is about new beginnings while honoring your past. The story was a fun, sweet and quick read.
Liz is a successful strong woman. She happens upon a property that is up for auction that would fulfill her lifelong dream. Little did she know how much her faith in this dream would change her life.
She wins the property and moves to Antler Creek. While there are setbacks, the overall message is one that encourages us to go after our dreams. The story is full of hope and gave me a lot of warm and fuzzies! It’s a perfect Christmas story!

How many people dream of taking over something that’s been in their family for years, only to miss that chance? This happened to Liz Westmoreland in regards to her grandparents’ inn, Angels Rest. Her dream has always been to continue her grandparents legacy. When she happened upon the inn on an auction site the day before it was to be sold, she took it as a sign. She had to bid on it sight unseen but amazingly, she had the winning bid! When she got there & realized things were worse than she thought, she had to decide if the dream was worth all the work it would take. As she worked with a local to make the necessary repairs, her grandmother’s angel collection began appearing as if by magic & Liz took that as another sign that this was what she was supposed to do.
Matt Hardy can’t believe he was outbid for the property next door to his house. It was a former inn. It had been gutted when owners thought to make it an art gallery. When he was working at the church, helping with some repairs, Liz came in looking for help & Matt realized she was the young girl of his dreams. He had been at the inn when her grandparents owned it & he had come to visit. As they worked together to renovate the inn, the chemistry between them grew stronger.
This was a very heartwarming Christmasy story. I loved the memories that the inn & the town had Liz remembering. Once the town knew who she was, they gathered around & helped her. They also had their own recollections of her grandparents & the way the inn used to be. Liz was also brought to realize that some of her city friends were really not her true friends. They were out for themselves. The Christmas angels popping up in different places was clearly a sign this was meant to be & a true symbol of Christmas & it’s meaning.
A sweet, fast read about a woman who saves up to be able to buy her grandparents’ Appalachian B&B where she spent idyllic childhood summers. She purchases it through an auction, leaves her job, sells her house, hires a contractor and works to make her lifelong dream of re-opening come true. Turns out her contractor has had a crush on her since they were kids.
I enjoyed this heartwarming story of family, community and following your dream.
This is my second Naigle book, and I must say that I enjoyed them both and will probably read more of her in the future.
Thanks to #StMartinsPress and #NetGalley for the ARC. The opinions are strictly my own.
What a wonderful, feel-good book. It was such a nice escapist read. Liz, Matt, and the people of Angels Creek are delightful. The book is upbeat and has a happy ending. Matt and Liz each have issues to work out, but they are able to do it with the help of others and the “Angels” that keep showing up around the cabin. If you love Hallmark type movies, you will love this. The story is easy-to-read and kept me turning the pages. I like the characters and the way the story made me feel–hopeful, joyful, and peaceful.
Thank you to NetGalley for an opportunity to read and to give my honest review of this book.
