Photographer Rachel Prudhomme has finally settled in Ministry, Alabama. Sure, the pace is slower, and she’s had her heart blessed more times than she can count, but putting down her roots where her family is feels right, if only the town’s new doctor and now neighbor weren’t so hot and constantly igniting her dreams. How can she keep her vow to steer clear of men when he keeps sauntering across … across her path?
For Dr. Nicholas Sullivan to get his dream job in Atlanta, he must fill in at Ministry General, where they’re short staffed for the holidays. He never expects to fall for his beautiful next door neighbor, Rachel.
Soon, Nick and Rachael make a deal. They’ll pretend to date so Rachael can avoid the scrutiny from her family to “find a good man” and Nick can avoid the single lovelies in town who take his short stay as a challenge. Amidst the carolers, Christmas lights, and an unlikely Alabama snowstorm, Nick and Rachel can’t help but notice the powerful emotional and physical attraction between them. Will a Christmas miracle be all it takes to make all of their dreams come true?

I would give it 3.5 stars. It was more interesting than the usual ” guy gets sent to small town and falls in love ” plot line
I liked the interaction between Rachel and Dr. Nicholas Sullivan, however I did not really like Rachel’s family background with white collar crime. It felt so different and awkward to have this inserted in a romance novel. I had a lack of interest in some of the characters.
Charmingly pleasing novel!
feel good movie
I enjoyed it entirely. Also, because it is in a different part of the nation, it reflects it wonderfully, and offered great detail into the landscape. Just an all around good book.
Christmas, Alabama is a wonderful holiday escape book.
Nick and Rachel
Looking for a sweet Southern romance? Great. Then you came to the right place. You will find plenty of Southern hospitality, warm characters, and vivid descriptions. Have fun!
This is a fantastic clean love story with a Christmas background. The story was well developed, the characters believable with backgrounds presented as necessary, and the setting realistic. I’d highly recommend this book!
I’d never read anything by this author and I got this book as a free download. I’m so happy I decided to give it a try. It’s just what the doctor ordered!
Loved it! An enjoyable read with wonderful characters and an interesting storyline.
I loved this Christmas romance! A little bit of my heart could totally relate with each of the characters. It is one I will probably read all over again.Thank you for the great plot, the character development, and the fun little witty moments woven in. A really fun read!
Loved this book
It was ok.
I wasn’t sure how much I would like this book for awhile because it was so predictable but then you turned it much more exciting. I ended up enjoying this story very much.
It was good
Sweet book with a Christmas theme
A sweet romance. If you like romance set in the middle of a close-knit rural community with old-fashioned values, you will enjoy this book.
Heartwarming
I have to admit, I’m Alabama born and raised and loyal to the core for all things Southern. I suppose this makes me biased when it comes to a book with an Alabama or Southern location. For you who have no personal experience in the South, I hope you will enjoy this book so much, you’ll come on down and spend some time getting to know us.
Warm cozy romance Christmas story
A very cute romance in which one of the main characters decides what he always wanted isn’t what he wants anymore. The community in which the story is set is very sweet — just what we want to imagine of small-town, southern America. The characters are sweet; the story is charming, if predictable; and there is a big dose of Christmas (who doesn’t like that?), family, and happily-ever-after. It’s a perfect winter read when you don’t want to have to think too much. Make some tea or hot cocoa, grab a fluffy blanket, and settle in. You’ll miss the characters when you finish!
