It is recommended that you read “Heaven Hill Generations” before starting this series, or you will be spoiled and lost!Christine SteeleI stood by as my husband become a person I didn’t recognize any longer. I watched as he betrayed his club. Now I’m trying to figure out how to move on, how to live my life, still love myself, and allow my family to love me.I’ve been broken before, but this time I’m … been broken before, but this time I’m not sure anyone can put those pieces back together.

Christine was a quick and emotional 5 star read and book two in the Heaven Hills shorts.
We get a look into Christine’s life after “Fury” and the depression she is dealing with after the loss of her husband. Your heart goes out to her and you want to see her heal and move forward.
She has pulled herself away from the club and her friends. Only one person has been able to get through her walls lately, will he be able to help heal her and convince her to come back to the club?
I was pulled in by Christine’s story and I would love to see more from her and see how things progress for her. I also got some questions answered that I had following Fury. I was glad to see that she was coming around and things were looking up for her towards the end. I look forward to reading more from this series.

These short stories are very interesting.
Following her husband’s betrayal of the club and his death, Christine has been dealing with guilty for what happened, as she ignored the signs that Travis was not well.
It’s hard for her to move on, but when her friend Stephen shows up to help her, she starts looking at him as more than just a friend.
I loved the story and the unfolding of everything that happened. I recommend the reading.
Wow! Christine may be a short story but it’s full of emotion. A part of me felt even bad for Travis! I’m dying to know what secret Christine is keeping and hoping for her to find her HEA.
I am enjoying the snippets of life of the Heaven Hill MC club. After the tragic events that Travis created earlier in the year, Christine is floundering. The guilt around the incident has her questioning her position within the club. This short is about Christine positively moving forward with her life.
In order to understand whats happening in this short you have to have read several books/shorts before this one. I highly recommend just reading the Heaven Hill Series and then the shorts.
Now having said that if you do know whats going on then you will love this short. We get some much needed answers to some questions regarding the events that happened in Fury.
This book hits me all in the feels. Like i felt so many things for Christine happened in this book. There was closure for her and for us on the love story between her and Travis, opened up some new opportunities for her professionally and personally.
Also i loved getting a little glimpse into something that might happened between two other characters that are too young for anything to happen quite yet but you will know what i mean once you read it.
i loved this book even though it made me cry!
To start of with you need to have read Fury to understand this and really the Heaven Hill series. Christine was written absolutely perfect and you could literally feel the raw emotions and guilt that Christine is dealing with in this story. It was more of a emotional read then I was ready for and it tugged at my heart strings for the amount of struggle that she was dealing with and the journey she was on trying to overcome.

DO NOT READ THIS BOOK WITHOUT READING FURY.
Do not read in public. Do not read without tissues.
DO READ IT!!
Laramie continues with her Heaven Hill shorts, in true Laramie fashion. The feels, the details, the emotions.
Christine has kept to herself and silent. She is unsure of her place now that the worst has happened. She is searching for that new place to start. This novella tells how she gets her life back on track. It lets us inside more and sheds light on details that further her story and Heaven Hills story.
The details, emotions and tears that this one brings out are amazing. For a short, it isn’t short on anything except more. I didn’t want it to be a short. I was ready for it to keep going. Then again I am always ready for this series to keep going.
Addicted is what I am.
Read the series, read this novella, just read anything by Laramie.
I love these short stories and Christine’s is key. She pulls away from everyone because she feels responsible for the actions of her ex husband. This tells how she slowly learns to cope with those feelings and figure out what the blame does not lie with her. There are serious emotions packed in this small package. I love these glimpses so much.
Christine’s book took all my preconceived ideas of what happen with her and Travis and turned them their head. I adore their back story and my heart broke with what Travis did and then as always Laramie took my shredded broken heart and mended it. This is no hearts and butterflies fix it is gritty. I cried real ugly tears on this one. It was truly cathartic. Thank you Laramie.
I was so excited to read Christine’s point of view and let me tell you it was so worth the wait!!! It adds another layer and another point of view on how the tragedy affected them and Christine’s story absolutely broke my heart. You will need a box or two of tissues to read this especially chapter 5 (omg). A new romantic interest along with the Heaven Hill gang having her back no matter what is helping her heal and move forward to a new chapter in her life. This story was everything and helped shed some light to questions I and I am sure most had. Highly recommend to all and I can’t wait for the next story in this series. Well done!!!!
Christine has been in a bad place since her husband died. She blames herself for not seeing what was happening with him and because of that she has put distance between her and her Heaven Hill family. Because how can they not blame her too. This was a short emotional read and it gave great insight to how Christine feels. It was great to see her finally shedding her guilt and trying to move on with her life. Hopefully, we will see more of Christine.
So excited to get Christine’s point of view! The second in the Heaven Hill Shorts series focuses on Christine and how not only her life but also her personality has changed after her husband’s actions. I really felt for her throughout the course of the short novella, because her feelings were so raw and her confusion on where she stood with everyone and the doubting and second-guessing consumed her. Thankfully, the MC still has her back no matter what, and when she needed them they came to the rescue, proving to her that they meant what they said regarding her stance in the club. Along with that, we also see Christine recover emotionally within a relationship with the budding romance she starts. I really enjoyed Christine’s story because of her relation to Travis and was so glad that she was able to recover. I can’t wait to see who’s next in this series (as well as a full novel continuing the story)!

I almost don’t have the words….. I think I was on the verge of tears or did cry through most of this book. Some sad, some happy. Laramie Briscoe pulled me into Christine’s world so that I felt her emotions. It was amazing. Run, don’t walk, to purchase and read this book…..
Christine is book 2 in the new Heaven Hills Shorts series written by the amazing and talented Laramie Briscoe. It is recommended that you read “Heaven Hill Generations” before starting this series. This short story takes place 10 months after the end of Fury and let us learn what happens with Christine after the death of her husband. This is a fast pace and very emotional story, at the same time Laramie write an excellent second hand character. Can’t wait for more development in Christine life journey after Travis. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Christine is an emotional powerhouse. This book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster as you watch how Christine copes with Travis’s betrayal and tries to figure out how to move forward. She needs to figure out her place in the MC now after everything that’s happened. You absolutely need to read this book and I seriously can’t wait for the next one. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.
Again with this short read, DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE READ Fury!!! This short read takes place 10 months after the end of Fury and gives us a look into how Christine is fairing from the events that took place. This SUPER short read was a good catch up but I felt that it ended too soon. It was nice to see where Christine’s head was after the events that took place and to understand her feelings of guilt over the events and the role that she felt that she played in them. I enjoyed this read despite it being really short (I had it finished in one sitting short!) and I was happy with how things were turning out for Christine especially since it felt like she got some closer for Travis. If you are looking for a short catch up read then this is for you.
If you have ever read the Heaven Hill series, this book does not disappoint. This book is nothing short of phenomenal. You get to see a glimpse at how Christine is coping with Travis’ betrayal and how she is starting is move on. She doesn’t blame anyone in the club because she finds a letter about Travis. It’s going to be interesting to see if it comes to light and to who. I can’t wait for the rest of them to come out.
Another amazing book by Laramie Briscoe!! If you haven’t read Heaven Hill Generations, this book won’t make any sense. I love Christine’s story. There is heartbreak and the start of healing! So much love and emotion. Have tissues ready for the tears that will come. Christine provided clarity that so many readers were looking for. Another great short in this series!
Christine is a short in the Heaven Hill series and let me just say this one is heartbreaking. It tells us what Christine is going through and how much she blames herself. You have to read the Heaven Hill series in order to read this short but if you have read them then you need to read this short story. Laramie brings out all the feels especially in chapter 5 oh my. Thank you so much for these amazing short stories you are writing.
Even though Christine’s is a very short story – that doesn’t stand alone without knowing the events in Fury – there’s a whole lot of emotion in here. So much emotion that I was nearly in tears at a couple points during the story. They may be really big emotions, and most of them are pretty heavy, but the book ends on a beautiful high note of hope and rebirth.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
