When nineteen-year-old Victoria Walton runs away from home to avoid being forced to marry the man chosen by her cruel stepbrother, she is terrified that she will be caught and harshly punished. The last thing she expects, however, is to be tracked down by a huge, brutishly handsome Taar-Breckian warrior, tossed over his shoulder, and carried aboard his ship despite her best efforts to resist.… resist.
Captain Allik Loarn has had his eye on Victoria for a while, and he plans to claim her as his mate. But the headstrong little human will need to learn obedience. When her disregard for his commands puts her in danger during their journey, Allik doesn’t hesitate to take Victoria over his knee for a painful, embarrassing public spanking, and her refusal to cooperate with the ship’s doctor during a routine medical exam earns her an even more thorough, humiliating punishment.
Despite her shock at being treated in such a shameful manner, Victoria cannot deny her body’s response to Allik’s stern correction and bold dominance, and it isn’t long before he takes her in his arms and masters her beautiful body completely. But when Earth’s tyrannical leaders set out to bring Victoria back home as a prisoner, will Allik do whatever is necessary to protect her?
Publisher’s Note: Chosen for the Warrior is a stand-alone novel which is the second book in the Brides of Taar-Breck series. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

A fantastic next in series, super addictive story! This is a story that pulls you in from the beginning! Victoria’s character is smart and feisty and she was well matched with her protector Alik, who is damaged physically, but completely heroic and honorable. From her escape from the evil regime through the dangers of space travel and resettling, there is so much going on that you will keep turning the pages long after bedtime!
exceptionally good read
This is an interesting series. You get a mix of dystopia and aliens with some spanking and domly types tossed in. Add in some conspiracy and intrigue and you’ve got a great story.
I do think that Allik sometimes was too wrapped up in his own head to see what was going on with Victoria. And as much as I like Victoria, she was a little too obstinate for her own good sometimes. She was too wrapped up in her own POV to figure out how other people felt sometimes and was definitely too impulsive.
I do like the series, and I’m really looking forward to finding out more about it. I’d love to get Taryn and Lucy’s story next, because I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a good one.
This is my first time reading anything by this author and she has written a very likable easy to read story. It’s a sci-fi dystopian story and the author has done a good job with her world building. There are some steamy scenes as the two main characters have a lot of chemistry going on. If you want a nice light entertaining read, then this is it.

Book two in the Brides of Taar-Breck series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Nineteen year old Victoria Walton runs away from home and ends up with Captain Allik Loarn a Taar-Breckian warrior. There is suspense, drama, danger, an evil step-brother, and romance. I hope there is more to come in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is one of my favorite authors (yes I have lots of favorite authors). This was such a great story. There are twists and turns and steamy hot sex. (Those lusty Aliens) Highly recommend. No spoilers here! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Book #2, Brides of Taar-Breck. Sassa Daniels dazzles with her aliens, dominance, submission, and a thoroughly engaging story!
Earth’s changed, and NOT for the better! Women have no rights. Their actions are controlled by powerful male “guardians.” Pretty manners, social graces, utter obedience…nothing else is tolerated. The consequences for non-compliance? Let’s just say the High Council ensures no female will ever step out of line again! This is Victoria’s life. Her cruel, imperious step-brother’s controlled her with an iron fist since her father’s death. But is Victoria’s social grace and submissiveness who she truly is? Beneath the façade of gentility and charm lies the soul of a rebel. Her membership in the Hyde Ladies’ Circle clearly shows her fractious nature. Reading forbidden books (including some pretty racy romances), discussing politics, medicine, and nearly every forbidden topic, nothing’s off limits. The covert meetings are the highlight of Victoria’s otherwise meaningless life. But her step-brother has boundless ambitions, and Victoria’s only good to further them. The final straw? Victoria’s informed she’s now “engaged” to a total stranger. That’s it! She takes off in a poorly-planned escape. But she may just be about to jump from the frying pan into the fire! Caroline Chatterton, a former member of the Hyde Ladies’ Circle, was arrested by the High Council, rumored to be set for execution, only to be saved by Commander Andrew Rossingham of Taar-Breck. Caroline’s worked behind the scenes to save her friends from the High Council. And Victoria has no idea the danger she’s just walked into. Allik, one of Commander Rossingham’s best warriors, has been assigned to protect Victoria. When he saves Victoria from immediate danger, neither realizes just what lies ahead. Despite all appearances to the contrary, Victoria’s a real spitfire. Allik’s naturally dominant, demands Victoria’s total submission, even though it’s for her own benefit. He unwittingly pushes every button Victoria has and NOT in a good way. The two clash time after time, especially when Allik’s basically forced to kidnap Victoria to save her. Now on her way to Taar-Breck, informed that she’s Allik’s mate, Victoria’s forced into a world she doesn’t understand. The rules are foreign to her. She’s terrified she’s just traded one form of slavery for another. Despite her feistiness and rebelliousness, Victoria’s naïveté cripples her in many ways. But there’s no denying the blazing inferno of attraction between Allik and Victoria. There’s mutual attraction, constant bickering, and punishments galore. Allik and Victoria are soon embroiled in a mystery that involves not only Earth’s duplicitous High Council but possible collusion with enemies of the Taar-Breckians, and perhaps even traitorous Taar-Breckians as well. Both Allik and Victoria’s lives hang in the balance. Can a defiant, recalcitrant Earther and a dominant, implacable Taar-Breckian connect on any level? Even if that’s possible, can any amount of attraction form a lasting bond of trust? When lives are at stake, just exactly how much can either take before they break?
Sassa Daniels is a completely new author for me. Once again, I’ve found a new favorite. I loved these two characters! Victoria’s complexity is enthralling. Her personality consists of layer upon layer of forced deception, confusion, unbridled lust, curiosity, buried secrets, and the purest of motives. Allik? He’s the very embodiment of dominance. But he has layers too. His past is full of trauma, trauma he’s unwilling, unable, to share with anyone, especially Victoria. That they both have buried secrets they’re unwilling to share with anyone makes any sort of connection between them more than improbable. Then there are the cultural differences between the regimented and corrupt regime of Earth and the opposing Taar-Breckian society. The contrast of Victoria’s rebelliousness, education, and naïveté is fascinating on every level. Allik’s lack of understanding of females in general, but especially of Earthen females, cripples him when it comes to Victoria. This story is absolutely captivating! Sassa Daniels is an extremely talented author. I’m so very glad I discovered her books. Congratulations, Ms. Daniels! Your talent and imagination shine. I absolutely loved it! Chosen for the Warrior deserves no less than five stars!
One final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and (Amazon) all booksellers’ websites. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the author. She works hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to a book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
Perfect for me
I am so in love with the hero of this story! He is completely captivated by his ward and totally committed to giving her the best life possible. And his lady love is sassy, smart and a little bit of a rebel, not to mention absolutely in love with him. The author took them on a wild ride to their HEA that I couldn’t turn away from until the very end. This book was a wonderful read and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the ladies make out with their alien warriors.
