I’ve been abducted. Twice. And now my situation with this new group of aliens has gone from bad to worse. I was with a bunch of elf-like aliens who had unparalleled technology, but now I’m in the midst of a group of primitive gargoyle aliens running around in loincloths.Which doesn’t hide much, let me tell you. There’s one gargoyle in particular who watches my every move, but what’s under his … what’s under his loincloth scares me more than his beastly appearance.
To be sure we’re worthy to breed with, the savages have us each perform a rite of passage.
And by that I mean a test of survival. Navigate the terrain, scavenge for food, defend myself against wildlife—basically all the things that could cause bodily harm or death. So that’s fun.
And as much as I’d like to be rescued by the alien who’s stalking me, it looks like I’m on my own. Maybe I shouldn’t have flipped him off, but how was I supposed to know I’d need his help?
Now, I’m going to have to tap into my survival skills or I’ll be dead by morning. May the odds and the aliens be ever in my favor. Or something.
Keep an eye out for “Tamed by a Beast” coming February 2020!

great read
Book one of a new series called Hearts of Stone and I want to read the next book, a quick story to read. Jaxar is the ruler of the Boraq tribe who claims Makayla as his after the human women end up on his world. I want to read the next book . There is suspense, drama, danger,a jealous woman, attempted murder, and romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed Makayla and Jaxar. The beginning was fantastic, I only wish it was a bit longer. I would have loved watching her and the other women enduring more than one night on their own. The dragon creature was a lot of fun! I think I might need one of those for myself. The romance and heat level was right there. I am definitely looking forward to reading some more and seeing where each of these women go.
In some ways, it reminds me of the books done by Zoey Draven for her Drakkar series, except without the slave-humans aspect. If you enjoyed these, you might enjoy hers as well.
Lily S. Thomas – Author of the Galactic Courtship series
An interesting story with comedic flare on two species trying to survive on their own distinctive way. It was an interesting hunger-game-ish story with the take on mash between breeding, mating, survival, colony, and finding your One. The new world plot was easy to digest and descriptive enough but still enjoyable to read. I like how although the h had accepted the horrid fate of being abducted by alien (twice!), but still make the best out of the situation and strong till the end. Bittersweet.
*WARNING* story contains explicit adult human/alien content
The human females were kidnapped twice in this story. I liked this one quite a lot. The gargoyle like aliens are big and scary, but he was nothing but gentle with her. The story itself was quite lovely with both the alien and the human having to trust in something that they normally wouldn’t.
I read these out of order, still a huge, new fan! I read the second book first and loved it on its own. I’d never read this author before, this is my second venture and I am a confirmed fan! I loved the way this story just flowed from scene to scene and kept my interest to the end. I thought that Jaxar and Mikayla made a cute couple whenever they got around to that. The exposition was gradual but it dragged just a little, or I’m just not a big fan of exposition, either way, it did lay the foundation for the bigger story, so it was a necessary evil. I loved the realness of Mikayla’s jealousy and her reticence in putting her feelings out there too soon. I just really liked this book too. Who needs sleep anyway, right? I’m looking forward to book three now, lol, or five, then I’ll circle back for the ones I’ve missed, lol.
I really enjoyed the setting of this book, and the ‘test’ the heroine had to go through in the beginning… and the adorable little pet she finds along the way. Great interaction between her and the hero!
