Chop, Chop is an award-winning, coming-of-age novel dealing with everyday experiences that anyone can relate to, but culminating in one catastrophic event that no one would ever want to. A story of friendship, loss, and forgiveness, Chop, Chop is often tagged as a “Young Adult” novel (even though most readers are actually between the ages of 25 and 55 and the sequels are definitely geared toward … definitely geared toward that age group). Chop, Chop is a complete, stand-alone novel that will NOT leave you hanging, but the top-rated sequels are reasonably priced for those who want more.
Synopsis: Ever since Laci was a little girl she’s been growing out her pretty, brown hair and chopping it off to send to Locks of Love. When Greg moves into town and finds out what she’s doing, he thinks it’s a great idea… so he starts doing it too! It’s just one of the things that reserved, young David must tolerate as their friendship grows throughout the years. As they near adulthood, they grow not only closer to each other, but closer to God as well. David finds himself content in every way, but when tragedy occurs David must struggle to find his way back to God.

I fell in love with the characters. It was very interesting to see how the friendships grew and matured and also how strong their faith grew as well. This book was just the eye opener and the start of a very interesting group of friends. I also read the other nine books in the series, they all were great reads!
Teenagers who are not hiding their Faith under a barrel. Kudos to the author for showcasing Christian values while writing a page-turner. YA and adults alike clamor for more; and as there are more books in the series, the clamoring is effective.
Excellent Christian book. I paid for the next in the series, which never happens. Very good read.
Excellent read. Definitely a page turner. It was great to read a book about listening and following God’s word.
I love this series! Such great characters and lessons to be learned. I love how the morals are woven into the storylines. So many twists and turns and tugging at the heart strings. And also funny! I laughed out loud, gasped, cried, and chuckled my way through the seven books.
Would recommend to anyone who enjoys books that stay with you long after you read the last word. To be honest, from the title, I wasn’t expecting much. But when I discovered what chop-chop meant I was totally hooked. The characters have a life that will continue to impact your life. I’m not going to address the plot. all I can do is urge you to …
Great Christian book! Don’t know how the series could get any better than this. I felt like I was in the story and these were my friends. It was difficult to put the book down to go to bed.
NO SPOILERS! Finally, a series that a young man can read! This book is the first in a wonderful Christian series. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Ms. Cronk has created completely believable characters who will fall, dust themselves off, and start over. David shows how to survive when life shakes you up. These books will draw you closer to …
This series was absolutely the best! I read this about 2 or 3 years ago. I loved it as did my husband and niece. I will probably reread the series, it was that good. I would really like to read more books by Cronk.
I absolutely loved this series. The characters were “real” and have to deal with real life events. LOVED IT.
Loved it!
This is another Christian inspirational novel that my mom loaned me. The Voice in it as narrated by the main character, David, was really engaging; I enjoyed reading about all the characters. The book was an exploration of emotions, friendships, grief, loss, love, forgiveness, and God (without being preachy, in my opinion). The events near the end …
I loved that it was written in first person form. Also the way the author described situations. When he described finding out Gregg and his dad were both killed, I cried like a baby ! Now I’m into the second book after he got married. I also like that there’s lots of Christian down-to-earth stuff.
So very well written th great character development … believable dialogue and made me want to stay up all night reading
This book is by far one of the best books I’ve read! There is a
Set of 7 books total, and they all continue the story of one man and his friends. I couldn’t put it down, I fell asleep at night with kindle in my hands and woke up to continue reading in the morning, it had me that hooked. I like Christian fiction, but sometimes it can be slow …
very compelling, hard to put down
