Mind Blown! I was capivitated from the start of the book as we’re introduced to Emily as she has moved to NY recently and doesn’t have any friends or family round, then we get to meet Triston the sexy as all hell alpha male. This story turns up the heat just the way I like it, the Sparks are flying everywhere with these two. Throughout the whole book I had a big grin on my face imagining myself as Em, she is one very lucky lady. Just when you think things won’t get any hotter we learn about Bash & things turn up another notch. There’s so much more to the story then just sex, we’re taken briefly into the past and learn a bit more about them. The decisions that were being made and chosen had me gasping at times and I don’t know who I was cheering for. I was pulled into their story through the end. The storyline held strong all the way through ending was perfect, wasn’t rushed. I highly recommend you grab your copy now.
Emily Reid works for Je Te Veux Events and may have a bit of a crush on her boss, Triston Hart but knows
she can’t blur the lines if she wants to keep working for him so she keeps her crush to herself. Yet when
he asks her for dinner she wonders if he feels the same.
When Emily is setting up at a coffee convention she meets Sebastian who asks her out and Emily decides
to go and things heat up fast between the two but she can’t stop thinking about Tristan.
As Tristan tries to battle his own ghosts from his past he doesn’t want to give up Emily but soon she
finds herself torn between Tristan and Sebastian.
With secrets being held will Emily be able to figure out which man is right for her and when she learns
more about the two of them will she find herself a pawn in someone else’s game?
For me this book started out so strong and then I found myself so mad and frustrated with Emily
towards the end that I just really wanted the book to end.
I thought Emily was a great character at the beginning but when she slept with Sebastian so fast I began
to have my doubts about her. I knew that she was hung up on Tristan and was hoping that thins would help her get over him but it didn’t work.
I really liked Tristan at the beginning and he definitely had some issues that I knew must have come from his broken relationship with his brother. I liked when he began to open up about everything so that
Emily knew he cared and could help battle with everything he was up against.
There was something about Sebastian that made me doubt his intentions right from the beginning especially with a specific comment he made. I was also mad that he was purposely hiring Tristan’s
company to get closer to Emily which I thought was a sleezy move.
I found the stuff with Blake a little over the top with everything else going on as it just added to everything and all of the drama.
Towards the end of the book everything went completely sideways with so many people sleeping with each other that I honestly got mad and frustrated. Everybody was mad at each other and it made
everyone look like they had no morals or standards and made me lose a little respect for all of the characters.
The end turned out like it should have but I was so frustrated as what person does what Emily does when she has four days but still wants to make the most of it when she already had decided? By Rebecca
This book was hot on so many levels! I read it faster than any book I’ve ever read. It was THAT good! It was twisted and intense. This author knows how to pull you in with her amazing words!
This is a true love triangle romance. It’s not one of those where you can tell from the beginning who the female is going to end up with; it involves two men who are very different and the woman who has to make a choice. The story is a shorter one, but it isn’t lacking on heat, character development, or plot. It was a perfect afternoon read.
What a mind blowing read!!!
Emily was caught between two gorgeous brother’s, Tristen and Sebastian Hart.
Then her past comes back to haunt her.
Things start to unravel just as she thought everything was falling into place.
Betrayal does things to a person.
Who will she chose?
Triston hired Emily for his marketing business. She just moved to town and was looking for a new start. But neither of them could deny the feelings they had when they were close to each other.
Emily meets a hazel eyed beautiful man and finds out he’s Triston’s brother, now she has to decide who she wants to be with.
Where do I even begin with this is book??
Ok this book is simply incredible, this wasn’t just my first ever read from this incredible author but it was also her first novel. To say I was surprised to find this out this was a understatement.
The characters in this book are amazing and Dani knows herself how much I love Triston!!!!!
So Triston is a complicated guy to say at the least. He loves being in control of everything and everyone around him. He has been single for a while and wanted it to stay that way…. well that was until the gorgeous Emily came into his life.
Emily is a young lady who is fleeing her home town and moves to the city for a fresh start. She is happy being single and isnt on the search for a relationship until she meets Triston that is. She simply cant stop thinking about him.
Then there’s handsome Bash who you dont want to like but you do anyway. OMG Bash!!!!! Dani just simply needs to give him a book like NOW!!!
Girls please read this book as you wont be disappointed as Dani’s writing and her sexy alphas wont disappoint you at all.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great and I liked the fact that Emily’s and Tristan’s story was so different from others. It was a unique perception of what love is. The only thing I didn’t like was that it dragged on and there was some stuff that could have been left out because it didn’t add anything to the storyline. I do feel that this was a very good debut novel.
Choosing The Hart by Dani René, previously released as Ace of Harts. Dani René writes a tasteful, smoking hot love triangle between two estranged brothers and the woman who happened to steal BOTH of their hearts. So obviously this book DOES contain cheating and I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s OK, but I would still like to say to give this one a shot.
Emily Reid moves to the big city of New York to start a new life for herself. When she lands a job at Je Te Veux Events she couldn’t be happier. So when the sexy owner of the company and Emily’s new boss Triston Hart, asks her to dinner she assumes that it’s a friendly welcome to the company.
But when Triston starts giving her mixed signals, Emily doesn’t know what to think.
Still receiving mixed signals from Triston, while at an event for the company Emily meets the handsome and rugged owner of a new coffee company, Tribal. Sebastian isn’t shy in letting Emily know EXACTLY what he wants from her and Emily is smitten.
Although Emily agrees to a date with Sebastian, the connection between Triston and herself is impossible to deny.
Triston is more of a suit and tie, totally in control type of man but the more Emily gets to know him she sees the bad boy that’s under that suit. He’s having a hard time letting Emily in because he’s been burned before, and after finding out that she’s also been out with his brother… he’s even leerier.
Sebastian, on the other hand, is more of a have fun, drives a motorcycle, laid back type of guy. He’s open and honest with Emily and there is also a connection between them.
“They were both so different, yet they were both so amazing in their own way.”
Emily has captured the hearts of two very, VERY different men. The problem is they both have captured a piece of hers as well. But she can’t have both (unfortunately ) so she has to make a choice.
“Two Harts. One forever. How can I choose?”
Shew, Dani knows how to write a steamy romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat! I honestly couldn’t figure out who she was going to choose, I just kept going back and forth with who I thought. Both of these guys have their own special something and I would NOT want to have to make that choice!
So let me just say that although I loved the story, I only gave 4 stars because I did have a couple of issues along the way. First off, Emily brings up the “L” word wayyy too soon. I think they had been dating a week before she started talking about love, it just seemed weird to me that she was bringing up love while still totally undecided between the brothers. Unfortunately, I can’t mention the other part because it would definitely spoil something…
But still, even though I was really, REALLY mad about it, it still didn’t ruin the story completely for me but it definitely made me look at one of the guys a LOT differently.
As usual Dani René writes a beautiful emotional story filled with love, lust, and so much more! I’ve been a fan of Dani’s forever now and even though this one is not my favorite, it’s definitely worth a read. You can’t go wrong with a Dani René novel!
So even though I have my favorite guy (#TeamBash) I can totally see why Emily had a hard time choosing. You’ll have to read Choosing The Hart yourself to find out who she chooses in the end though!
But I am hoping the brother that she didn’t wind up with gets his own book too, I want to see him happy… and from the ending… it sounds like he’s doing just that.
So, what are you #TeamBash or #TeamTriston ???
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
This book was so good I couldn’t put it down! I love the characters and this book pulled me in completely! Emily has to choose between the past and present. The Hart brothers are hot. I highly recommend this book!

DREAMY’S REVIEW
Choosing the Hart is an emotional, raw, real, love triangle romance that will have you rooting for both heroes!
Triston Hart is rigid, cold, broody, confusing, and closed-off to love and his feelings. After his past, he swears off of love until…
Sassy, relatable, social, shy, and full of life, Emily Reid walks into his office and shaking his world and slowly changing his perspective.
Emily cannot deny her attraction to her boss, Triston, until a handsome stranger captures her attention one night, Bash.
“Between him and Bash, I was sure going to have my hands full.”
WHAT A TWIST! I WAS HOOKED!
My goodness, just when I thought who Emily would choose, Rene threw me in for a loop! I sat there set, just like Em, and then Bash wormed his way into my heart with his swoon worthy ways!
I can totally understand why Emily had a hard time in making her decisions, but let me tell you, when she’d make some of them, I’d gasp! Like whaat?!! Emily!! How even?! (But I get it, girl, it’s hard!)
“They were both so different, yet they were both so amazing in their own way.”
The plot of this story was interesting, captivating, and I kept on salivating for more each time I turned the pages! The push and pull the heroine had with each hero, the amount of steam and chemistry was hit and passionate, and the factors in deciding what she should do really had me at the edge of my seat!
The ending really made me grin and I loved how René tied up all the loose ends! Her writing always keeps me consumed!
Five dreamy stars:
Emotional, passionate, and angsty Choosing the Hart was an amazing love triangle that had me hooked. The chemistry between Triston, Emily and Bash was fiery and intense from the start. I loved all three characters and enjoyed watching the relationships develop between them. The intense push and pull between Emily and each of the men had me hooked. As things got a bit more complicated I totally understood Emily’s difficulty in making a choice even as I grew a bit frustrated. Choosing the Hart pulled me in from the first page and had my heart torn with a gripping and intense love story I couldn’t get enough of.
A typical love triangle is ok, but Dani takes this book to the next level with a love triangle between brothers. Emily has relocated to a new city to live out her career dreams after a difficult period in her life. Excited to start this new chapter, she finds herself meeting and dating two men who unbeknownst to her are brothers with a personal grudge against each other. As Emily gets to know Triston (her boss) and Sebastian (a client), she struggles with making a decision on which she will choose to be with. Throw in her past coming back into her life in a stalking/threatening demeanor, she will find the brothers can work it out and come together when it comes to the common denominator of her. This book is riddled with lies, secrets, betrayal, and a load of feelings. While the back and forth got to be a little much, overall it was a good read!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

If you are not a fan of cheating or what you view as cheating then I would not pick this book up. This is the story of Emily and two Hart brothers who do not have a thing to do with each other. Emily has met her new boss Triston who is smoking hot and has everything going through him. There chemistry is electric. However she has met this handsome stranger and little does she know that he is going to throw a wrench into everything that she ever thought she wanted. Now she has a choice to make, a past that has come back for her and two bothers that she can not live without. I loved this book and devoured it.There is never a dull moment in this one and Dani Rene’ has written a story that is absolutely amazing!!
Shes the new recruit at Je Te Veux Events who has to prove her worth to him. The boss with eyes as blue as the ocean.
Hes confusing and his moods change like the weather, but still she wants him.
Events bring people together, and that’s where she meets the mysterious coffee man.
Hes warm, friendly and definetly interested in her.
What to do, who to date, decisions and choices….
This book is certainly a ride and a half. Pasts of darkness and deception. Twists and turns.
Thoughts of “Well I didn’t expect that” followed by moments of shock and tension.
Two guys, different yet alike vying for her attention. Shes like a child in a candy shop indecisive.
I didnt instantly fall in love with Emily, but I did feel her pain. Didnt always agree with her actions but understood why she felt the need to go there.
Triston and Bash are the saviours of this. One is darkness, and punishments. The other lighthearted and caring.
An interesting sensual story, that will keep you guessing, wondering, and trying to be one step ahead of the action.
I felt that four stars was good for this as whilst I really enjoyed it I did feel there was a slight something missing.
Being Broken and Shattered in a million pieces is one thing, but finding the one who makes you whole and heals all that has been scattered in a million places is another. To find the one who make you complete is what makes the dark places bright again.
Emily “Em” Reid was running from a horrible past, and getting a new start in a new city with a boss whom she can’t seem to resist. But who’s to say she is the one she needs saving from something? Could it be her own heart that needs saving?
Triston Hart is a man who knows no bounds; everything must be his way or the highway. Trust doesn’t come easy, but his new employee is one who he can’t get in line, will she be the one to fix him, to dominate him and complete him?
Bash Hart the laid back brother who wants one thing he can’t have the woman his brother calls his. But he is willing to try even if she can never love him back.
Oh My Author Dani Rene has a found herself a new follower, this was a first for me by her, and I must say I am impressed with her writing style, her characters and the passion she puts into her books. The artful way she has written Choosing the Hart is really amazing and I hope there is more to their story.
First let me start by saying that I absolutely love Dani Rene’s work, but this book just didn’t do it for me. This book for me was too much like a copy of fifty shades written in a love triangle and I couldn’t get past that. Other readers may not have a problem with this book being so close to fifty shades, but for me it was a major problem. Just because I had issues with this book does not mean that you will because everyone’s different. I do think that I would have loved it if I hadn’t read fifty shades before reading this one.
Happy Reading Everyone!!
This is the first story by Dani Rene that I did not fully enjoy. I couldn’t connect with the characters or the storyline. It was not a bad story, just not my favorite. The chemistry between the characters was intense and their interactions beyond hot ! Still a suggested read.
Yet again this author has written a story that pulled me in and kept my attention from start to finish. I love a good cheating book especially one that has as much passion and angst as this one. Triston Evie and Bash have a complicated story. Someone’s heart is going to be broken. Who would you choose, broody alpha Triston or sweet funny Bash?
This is my first time reading a love triangle. I really liked how Emily was so true in her own right! She came to NY to start her life over after bad events in her life. She will be put in the spinning events between Triston and his brother Sebastian. Both of them something to offer to Emily – Triston is her boss, he’s demanding and wants her submission. And Sebastian is more on the lighter side here.
Who will she choose in the end? What will happen when her past will reach her in the big apple?
A really good book is full of emotions, full of sexy times! Ms. Rene as always did a great job!
