This story drew me in from the first and did not let go. Loved the story about Tucker and Avery who have known each other for years and enjoyed reading how they work together on their relationship. This is a sweet romance along with a little heat. Loved it..
A wonderful book, set in a wonderful small town. This story is great. It has humor, romance and mystery. I love all the snarky banter and the quirky small town characters. I really enjoyed reading this book.
This time the romance is a second chance wrapped up with a murder case. All the chills happens here, the longing, the heartbreak, the fear, the suspense, the passion. Until the HEA, it will be a roller coaster of feelings. From laughing at the grannys pranks to the wet eyes and strong heart beating at the more thriller parts. We get the chance to catch up with the other characters of the series and to fall in love with Avery and Tucker this time. Their love has a long road to healing, but its inevitable to surrender to it!
Chin up Butter cup is the third book in the Twin Oaks Series. It was a wonderful read and held my attention throughout the book. I loved the characters Avery and Tucker. I truly enjoyed reading about them. This book is well written. It has a good storyline. I look forward to reading the next book.
Great book! I was laughing from the very first chapter. The close-knit group of friends and family that this series revolves around is truly exceptional. There are a lot of characters, but their personalities are so well defined and written so that I have no issue keeping track of whose who.
Tucker and Avery shared a long history together before their split, so there was a lot of healing to be done. Thrown in with their issues are Tucker’s family drama and Avery’s personal drama. I love the touch of suspense and of course the steamy moments. I look forward to the next in series!
Sweet/steamy read about second chances and learning from your mistakes. Avery and Tucker had a short romance when they were younger that was intense. Tucker took some questionable advice and it changed things for both of them. It’s sad how often the best of intentions turn heartbreaking. I really loved the banter and the nicknames were so funny. Both characters were endearing and irritating. They wavered and flip flopped and I was screaming at them to just do something. I guess that’s part of being younger. There is a bit of mystery that added to the story and I look forward to reading more!
First, I must say that I am so loving the town of Twin Oaks. The people living there are a hoot. For instance, this story starts with Avery returning home and being met on the property her grandpa left her by his elderly neighbor lady who is sporting a shotgun. Then, as luck would have it or as Miss Sally would arrange it to be, when the police show up it is none other than Avery’s ex-boyfriend, Tucker.
Things continue to get more entertaining when you add in all the crazy friends and family, a murder and a stalker and a years old feud. I laughed and cried and cheered and then wanted to smack some sense into someone. I love the way Tucker’s family celebrated his and his twin’s birthday. I guarantee you will enjoy this book and it can be read as a stand alone, but it is more fun learning about everyone from the beginning.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a review copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This one about Avery and Tucker and the struggles they dealt with in life. A small town deals with a murder and it is hard to keep a secret when everyone gets information so quickly. A standalone read but you want to get the other books in the series to find out how everyone comes together.
Avery and Tucker clearly have some drama that covers their past and present to get through so this book manages to start out juicy AND hilarious. Taylor has a way of working humor into just about any situation, while still getting real feelings across.
Twin Oaks is a completely loveable town, full of hilarious quirks and unique residents that make me just want to move right on in. Every time I open a book in this series, it’s like I’m there and I never want to leave.
There are loads of characters we already know from the first two books, and it might be more fun having the history, but you could read this as a standalone as well.
Professional on the inside and out, my only complaint is that Twin Oaks isn’t a real place I can move to.
Eagerly waiting for more.
4 stars.
