A boxset of three love stories. All of them have something in common as all the people involved work at the Chiltern Hotel.
All the stories are insta love. The third story, Breaking Liberty, is a bit different from the others as the couple starts sleeping together the first night while the others take a little longer. Nice and sweet. Three stars and a half.
I really liked how the characters each had their own struggles and happily ever after. But I felt like it was too.fast paced.

If you want love check into the Chiltern Hotel
The Chiltern Hotel Series Box Set 1 are the first books I have read by Avery North. This set contains three short stories – Breaking Barriers, Breaking Christmas Traditions and Breaking Liberty. Each book is about a different couple with a different situation but they all have the Chiltern Hotel as the background. Plus add in the fact that each of the men is a handsome, sexy, protective, protective Alpha who is not afraid to go after what he wants once he sees her.
Each book has an interesting story-line that is fast-paced but quite nicely written. The characters are fun, lively, have a few obstacles along the way and a nice amount of sizzling chemistry. These were enjoyable to read and left a smile on my face and a pitter-patter in my heart.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

These books moved along quickly. They were entertaining and sad too.

This is a set of the first three books in this series. All are well written, with nice stories that have happy endings.
Breaking Barriers – Melissa just started at the hotel, and her boss is giving her a hard time. Tom, the sous chef, is interested in her, and gets her issue straightened out. The story seems rushed, and something felt off. This was my least favorite of the three books, although it was still a nice story.
Breaking Christmas Traditions – Lloyd is the new fitness instructor at the hotel. Paula is a hotel employee who uses the fitness center. She was hurt in the past, but he seems different that other guys. This is a sweet story of two people making a connection at just the right time in their lives.
Breaking Liberty – James is the new sous chef (replacing Tom from Breaking Barriers). Meg is the receptionist. She was broken-hearted before, but give James a chance. Until she finds him acting cozy with another employee. He was a little possessive with Meg, but ends up being perfect for her.

Unable to afford the family farm, Melissa and Kyle head to the city where Melissa has a job as a waitress at the Chiltern Hotel. She meets Tom, a chef at the hotel, one day while leaving work. Soon, they are getting to know each other and he asks her to spend the weekend with him when he is invited to cook at an exclusive club. She agrees to go with him when he tells her he has even arranged for Kyle to stay with his brother. They spend the weekend together and soon they are in love and getting married.
Breaking Christmas Traditions – Paula and Lloyd meet when he is introduced as the Chiltern Hotel’s new fitness instructor. He was raised by his grandparents and has taken the job to help support his grandfather, his grandmother having died three years earlier. They told him on his 12th birthday that his mother left them with him and he has struggled ever since. Paula has just seen her friend Melissa find her true love and is hoping the same happens to her. She and Lloyd soon find themselves together alone in the gym and he ends up kissing her. Some time goes by before he sees her again and when he does he makes sure she doesn’t get away again. He invites her up meet his grandfather and the weekend they have together is amazing. Before they know it, Christmas has arrived and he is invited to spend the holiday with her family. It turns out, her family loves him and he finds that he loves her and wishes to be with her always. Christmas day arrives and he asks her to marry him after her family dinner and she says yes and they go on to have a wonderful life together.
Breaking Liberty – Meg and James meet when he is hired to replace Tom as the sous chef at the hotel. She has had her heartbroken in the past and has vowed to be a fun loving party girl, no more serious relationships. She and James hit it off immediately and before they know it, they are in each other’s arms. They continue to see each other and everything is going well until she sees him hugging another woman in his office. He tells her the woman was asking for time off for a family emergency but Meg doesn’t want to believe him. So sure she has been made a fool of, she refuses to listen to his explanation. Each time he tries, she pushes him away. One night, she receives a call from her mother’s neighbor that her mother is ill. She rushes home, only to arrive too late. James shows up as soon as he hears about it and is there to comfort Meg. Once the funeral is over and she returns home, she finds James is still very caring and attentive. She realizes what it must have been like for the woman in James office, only needing someone to comfort her. He is called away on family business but when he returns, she listens to his explanation, apologizes and forgives him and the two go on to get their happily ever after.

This series is filled with hotel drama that will inspire and captivate. My favorite of the three is Breaking Barriers. Melissa finds herself in the role of caretaker for her younger brother after the death of her parents. Moving to the city to start again was challenging. She meets Tom upon arriving at her new job and a friendship develops leading to something more. But with all the drama surrounding them can they take it to the next level for something more meaningful? I loved this story and you can’t help but emphasize with Melissa. She is a strong determined young lady.

These three standalone SHORT Sweet Steamy Romances (Books 1-3 of the Chiltern Hotel Series) include: Book 1 – Breaking Barriers, Book 2 – Breaking Christmas Traditions, and Book 3 – Breaking Liberty.
Although it won’t take you long to get through the books, you’ll find all the things you look for in a romance – good story line, bumps along the way to finding love, and the joyful realization that, once you’ve overcome all obstacles, you’ve found “the one”. Avery North has written a 5-star box set that has each of the Alpha males doing things to get the woman they want. In each book, there are misunderstandings between the couple in which the male has to prove that he did not do anything wrong with someone else.
If you enjoy a good book that will have you from the first page to the last then this box set is for you.
