ChevepakI hate my mating marks, and I’m probably the first male to feel this way. I’m a straight-laced historian who learned their lesson growing up. Never go against the family unit. Always back up and defer to your female lead. But now, I’m helping abused males get off Quasar and away from their Ermadas. If I’m found out, I’ll be ostracized by the twelve other males who share Councilor Vina’s … twelve other males who share Councilor Vina’s home with me. To complicate matters even more, the mating marks develop on my chest, and there’s no way to hide them!
Between avoiding my Ermada and suppling food to my fugitives, I’m rescued from an awkward situation when I’m summoned to speak with the Sacred Mother. She promises unity with a new program I’m qualified to lead in.
But will this mean I’m helping end the matings? And sensing my mate getting closer, do I want to?
April
Lying in a pool of blood on my kitchen floor, I gave up. I’d had enough of my life and wasn’t interested in even bothering to try and answer my door for the medical help I needed to survive.
Working at the corner fast food joint, I don’t have much I’ll miss. My latest boyfriend is responsible for my current state, but I’m sure he didn’t stop to consider my hemophilia when he knocked me around.
So when I’m approached and offered an important mission, a purpose that could help thousands of people lead a better life, I’m intrigued—especially when it also comes with a mate. Someone who’s not only going to heal my body and want only me, but I’ll never catch them banging someone else on the kitchen table.
But on the way to fulfill my destiny, our spacecraft is almost destroyed by a sleeper spy attempting a suicide mission. Then, we’re hijacked by an insect-shaped species that’s planning on conquering the Quasar planet. The Council seems dead-set against even discussing either event, which leads us all to believe they’re involved.
But could the Sacred Mother, the planet’s original salvation, be part of the conspiracy too? Will we reach the planet and find my mate in time to expose the truth of their women’s past treachery to all the Quasar citizens, uniting them once and for all? Or will the Marel arrive first, taking over and harvesting them for food?

I enjoyed reading this suspenseful alien romance. It has an interesting, well-paced plot full of unexpected incidents & situations. The characters are quite unique with complex personalities & display believable reactions and/or emotional feelings. There are character crossovers but this book can be read as a standalone.
There is: a Quasar male historian (Chevepak) is secretly helping abused males to escape when he is suddenly placed in a new program to mate with a human female (April) but there are deep undercurrents of dissatisfaction & treachery, various kinds of aliens, human females, a Quasar Council, a Sacred Mother, adventure, action, drama, intrigue, twists & turns, secrets, threats, danger, violence, conflict, discovery, devious plans, deceit, betrayal, manipulations, false pretenses, mating marks, attractions, contentment, some steam & a satisfying conclusion. I would recommend this alien romance to people who enjoy reading this genre.
Compelling reading about absolute power that corrupts society!

This is the first book that I have read in the series and must admit I found it hard to follow the various human and quasar relationships, I think it would have made more sense if I had read the books in order. April is a human female who travels to the Quaser planet to fine her mate. When she arrives she senses fear and danger through the mating bond and discover that he has been taken captive. Fortunately he managed to escape with the help of another captive and they are united at last. This was a dramatic story that involves all levels of government and church. The females of the planet hold all the power but a network of men willing to risk their lives is working to expose the truth. April’s mate is just one of then men involved and with the truth and proof in their hands, change is coming. This book made compelling reading about absolute power that corrupts society!

Chevepak doesn’t know what to do, he is trying to help abused Quasar males get away from there Ermadas to safety when he develops mate marks. Now things are just keep getting worse. First his Ermada lets him know she wants his “services” next he’s trying to get away from the Mating Reemergence study people. April was rescued from dire circumstances by the Ashen and given a data crystal that she was to pass along to her mate so the they can expose a awful secret kept from the males of the planet. Now she just has to face the danger of the females on the planet to find and claim her mate. Though this can be read as a standalone I would suggest reading it as part of the series, it has no cheating and ends in a HEA. This is the 11th story in the OUTSTANDING series The Quasar Lineage. You don’t HAVE to read the previous books to enjoy this story, but you will understand so much more about what is going on, who the good guys are, who the bad guys are and who the little grey men (Bill and Ted) are and what they are doing with these human women from Earth. Previous characters show up in the stories, so it is like visiting with old friends again!
The central part of this series is that on the planet Quasar, there are around ten men to every female, so they have ‘family contracts’ with a female where all the males of that family will become like a husband to that female. She could have many husbands. The males, for some reason or another, cannot perform without an injection of a certain drug. Thousands of years ago, there were even numbers of men and women and they had mates. They would have what looked like colorful tattoos appear on their bodies when their mate was nearby. They would be perfect mates in all ways and would want to be with each other, never separated. They could feel each other’s emotions. But for some reason, that stopped thousands of years ago and with a shortage of females, it was now this reverse harem for their planet. When one of their ships came too near Mars, near an Earth ship that had a human female in it, one of their men got his mating marks. When that man’s brother found out about it, just before he was to be ‘married’, he took off to Earth to find his mate. When he tried to ‘beam her up’ he accidentally beamed up a total of eight college girls, one of them his mate. It seems that there are ‘little grey men’ who are in control of the space around Earth, and they seem to be able to see the future, so they help the remaining girls find their mates. Maybe even more Earth women can be collected for more Quasar men can have their mates too.
In this story, April is sick and tired of being in a dead-end job with a dead-end boyfriend who likes to beat her up, even when he knows she has hemophilia. She after the last beating leaves her bleeding out on her kitchen floor, a person appears and asks if she could be taken away to be a wife to an alien who could cure her illness, would she do it? It is like the red pill and you die here on Earth or blue pill and be healthy and loved elsewhere. Duh, like she has to think about that question. She takes the blue pill for the happy ever after. When she knows that she is going to go on a special mission that will save thousands, she is all for it. She just didn’t know what to expect when she meets her mate.
Chevepak has been secretly helping abused males get off Quasar and away from their Ermadas. There is always a chance, a huge chance, that he will be caught and punished for this. It doesn’t matter. When he starts to get Mating Marks, now he could be in BIG trouble if his own Ermada sees it. Things go sideways when he thinks that people he knows are going to help him when they are going to use him as a test subject to see how Mates react when they can’t be together. Now not only are the many men he is hiding in danger, but he is also in trouble himself.

Love this series and wow! Did the plot ever thicken on Quasar! Wow, I need to know what happened to Barek and the stone! April and Chevepak – wow total hotness from the moment they meet! Can I say, I really want the Council to fall, I know, probably won’t happen but dang… Poor Chevepak, just manipulated from the start between his ermada and the top honcho! I can’t wait to hear Karen’s story. Love this series and totally recommend all the books! It does help to read them in order, however it’s not totally necessary! They all have an HEA for each Hero and his cherished.

I haven’t read all of the prior books but I have read the last 7. I love how the stories keep getting more involved and dangerous. The female council is involved with the betrayal of the people of the planet and the Marel using unmated males as a food source right under everyone’s nose. Chevepak has been working with the underground to get abused males off planet and it’s time for him to go, as well. I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
This story in the series got complicated and dangerous really fast. It sure looks like the treachery runs deep in Quasar. Chevepak’s and April’s attraction towards one another was intense. The plot is exciting and it was hard to put down. It also made me really curious about Tara’s mate’s abilities. Can’t wait for the next book! [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
Chevepak is in trouble. His mating marks has started to fade in while undercover. He has missed his meeting time to escape with his men. Who will be able to find him? Save him? April. His human mate. Her marking are the GPS to finding Chevepak. This basically a reverse rescue mission to find a lost male mate. The underground story is still underway as another part of the story evolves. No cliffhanger just another part of the saga.

Fast-paced, action packed sitting on the edge of your seat book that was impossible to put down once I had started reading it. This is book 11 in the series and it’s brilliant. You don’t have to read all the previous in the series, but it does make certain things a lot clearer if you have read all or some of the earlier books. I have read them all and I am still loving this series. The author really has done a fantastic job of world and society building with so much going on that every story is different and unique in their own way.

Book eleven in the The Quasar Lineage series I wonder what happens in the next book, this one ends with a cliff-hanger. That Sacred Mother has something very wrong with her. This is mainly April and Chevepak’s story. There is suspense, drama, danger, and romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Amped up action nearly overshadows the mating
Pearl Tate’s wonderfully entertaining series, The Quasar Lineage, has gone long past the point of stand-alone novels. Chevepak’s Cherished is nearly impossible to comprehend without the background and story arc of the previous books. If you pick this up before reading the prior novels, you’ll find yourself confused by the rapid-fire mention of incidents and characters that haven’t appeared in this novel. That said, for fans of the series, this is a mind-boggling, nail-biting suspense-and-action adventure in the Mission Impossible style, as April and Chevepak attempt to complete their mating in the middle of a clandestine mission to rescue an underground network of freed males from a planetary revolution during an attempted hostile alien takeover… And that’s the short version! Seriously, this is really good action/adventure – so good it almost overwhelms the romance between fated mates Chevepak and April. Pearl Tate does her usual red-hot, melt-your-eReader sexy love story, so rest assured that the chain of matched and mated human women and Quasar males continues unbroken, but the real meat of this novel is the wild action and heart-in-mouth twists and turns of the plot. I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was action packed, with this reader clutching the edge of her seat during some of the scenes. It was well written and edited, with few typos, missing words, or wrong word choices. The world building in this novel was accomplished, with the Quasar homeworld really coming alive in this novel. The characterization was competent, with this reader getting a good feel for both the hero and the heroine of this book. I liked the heroine quite a bit in this novel. She was quick with a retort and tolerated nobody’s nonsense. There was medium to low angst (internal conflict) and incredibly high stakes (external conflict) in this novel, with plenty of heart pounding adventure and suspense elements with overtones of evil political machinations by the villains. This novel uses the Fated Mates trope, of the flavor where the hero and heroine gets together quickly after meeting and then have to face external threats together. My favorite version of the Fated Mates trope is when the heroine is fighting against her fate being determined for her. Basically a Fated Mates and Enemies to Lovers hybrid. However, I enjoyed this novel quite a bit, with it’s hair raising adventures. This novel ends with a Happy Ever After ending for our hero and heroine, which I prefer and appreciated as the ending to this sci-fi romance. I recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys sci-fi, fantasy, and paranormal romance.

This is another addition to the this series. This is a suspenseful story. There are plenty of twists and turns with a well paced story. This story is about Chevepak, who notices that his mating marks have appeared on his body, and April. April is a hemophilia and has been left to die after being beat up. April makes a deal to leave Earth and mate with a Quasar alien. When Chevepak and April see each other they just know that they are fated mates. It was great to watch Chevepak and April grow as a couple. I would highly recommend this series.

Chevepak’s Cherished continues after Brock’s Beloved. After Brock and Brittany kill the Marel and they rescue two females and a group of Quasar men from the stasis chambers. The two females Tara and April say they feel their mates are not among the men but on the planet and April shows them the ring that she suppose to give to her mate that the Ashen gave her that has a copy of the Accord. Matthias. Susan, Selas and Karen along with Tara and April take a shuttle to the planet to find the ladies mates. Meanwhile Chevepak woke up with mating marks which he is hiding and is taking care and hiding a group of Quasar men who left their ermada’s that Matthias is suppose to pick up but Matthais is late and he is afraid to be caught. So when the Sacred Mother summons him, he asks Greeco to look after the men and to look for him if he does not see him after four days. The Sacred Mother is asking for his help for a new program to unite the fractions and she has him taken to a room deep underground. Once in the room he realizes the Sacred Mother lied that he is now a subject in the Mating Reemergence Study. What happens next is full of action as Tara and April on the planet try to find their mates with the help of Matthias, Susan and Karen? This story deals more about Chevepak and April experiences. Like the others in her repertoire there is action, steamy romance and more dilemmas, with likable characters to fall in love with. This story also opens many possibilities to future stories which I await for more about Tara and her mate Mihile and what the Discovery will find on the Marel home planet. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via booksprout and the author
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The book is about a man that is helping men to get away from their abuse as well off the planet. There was woman that was hurt by her ex and now she is going to go off planet to help men to get off planet. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author. Thank You for writing the books so we can read them.
There are quite a lot of things going on in this story. April is a hemophiliac who was badly beaten by her boyfriend and close to dying when aliens offered her an opportunity. They asked her to leave Earth and mate with an alien she was genetically matched with where she would never have to worry about cheating.
The alien April has been matched with, Chevepak, has been secretly helping the abused males on his planet escape from their Ermadas (mates) while trying to hide his own mating marks that recently appeared. When he gets summoned to the Sacred Mother, she tells him of a new program that he would be perfect to lead.
As April is on her way to join Chevepak, they have a number of incidents to deal with, the worst being hijacked by insect-like creatures planning to conquer the Quasar planet. The Council seems intent on keeping secrets and it’s difficult to know who to trust. And unless they can find proof of the treachery of the Quasar women, they cannot be unified into one society. Can Chevepak and April work together to restore things as they should be? Will April embrace her HEA with her alien mate?
I’ve been reading this series from the beginning, and the individual stories are so good. The womens’ hearts are as strong as their men, and the twists and turns keep it exciting. I did have a problem with how this one ended. It more or less just… stopped. I realize each book leads into the next, but the conclusion to this story just ran into a wall. I needed more info about what happened. I hope the next book has a better conclusion.
