New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh kicks off her new Hard Play contemporary romance series with a sizzling story that’ll leave you smiling… sin.
Ísa Rain craves a man who will cherish her, aches to create a loving family of her own. Trading steamy kisses with a hot gardener in a parking lot? Not the way to true love. Then a deal with the devil (aka her CEO-mother) makes Ísa a corporate VP for the summer. Her main task? Working closely with a certain hot gardener.
And Sailor Bishop has wickedness on his mind.
As Ísa starts to fall for a man who makes her want to throttle and pounce on him at the same time, she knows she has to choose – play it safe and steady, or risk all her dreams and hope Sailor doesn’t destroy her heart.

Awesome characters. Lots of laugh out loud moments, and a real page-turner. Every woman should have a Sailor in her life. A fun read and highly recommended.
This was my first Nalani Singh book. I’m now working my way through the series. The characters were so well done, and faced credible obstacles… none of that random “oh no! misunderstanding!” that foils the path to many a happily ever after. I’ll admit that I almost didn’t pick it up because of the title, but after reading it, I can tell you that my readers will really enjoy this one!
Nalini is a brilliant writer her paranormal series is very good. This sweet hot romance is better. No Archangels. Just gorgeous kiwis. I’m not kidding read this book.
Singh’s novels are so well-written. The characters have depth and actually communicate with each other. I love the Bishop family, whether it is in this series or from the Rock Kiss series.
Great writer, I have read several of her series.
Loved this story set in New Zealand.
One of my favorite authors . The research is thorough and the story authentic, well written without hanging details to confuse the reader.
Kept me so interested I burned the midnight oil to finish it once I started
Also well written.
Loved this book. Couldn’t put it down bro I finished it
Love these NZ men and the women who capture their hearts.
Loved the two main. Characters. Great book!
The characters in this novel are amazing. Isalind feels like we could be sisters – personally reserved, shy, uncertain about how to stand up to her steamroller mother but certain about her calling, and very hesitant about her love life. I hope that someone like Sailor becomes interested in me (or my sister, one of us should luck out)! This is what a real romance without fairytales should be.
I couldn’t finish it. I wanted to, but it was just too slow, painful and ridiculous. I hung in there for 14 chapters, but going any further would be like pulling my fingernails from the beds they rest on.
And if you everrrr had a fondness for the words read head, be prepared to hasaaate them with everything in you. It was used almost as much as ‘and, the & I’. It was just too much.
loved it
4.5 Stars
I really enjoyed CHERISH HARD. Sailor Bishop is the brother of Gabriel Bishop from Nalini Singh’s Rock Kiss series. Sailor—and his brothers—are hardworking rugby players with tough exteriors and hearts of gold. I immediately fell in love with Sailor. He’s exactly what you want in a hero: strong, killer smile, tattoos, blue eyes, loves his family and has a plan for the future. Problem is, a prickly redhead with dangerous curves is not part of that future, but Sailor sure wants her to be!
ĺsa is a wonderful heroine. She’s funny and fun-loving, hard-working, loves poetry and is extremely loyal. She was easy to relate to. I experienced many of the same things ĺsa had and was quickly drawn into her story while I rooted for her along the way!
ĺsa and Sailor are magic together. They have great chemistry and their interactions always seemed natural. I wondered if they were ever going to let go of their insecurities and give their relationship a shot.
The secondary characters are also a big part of the story. Sailor has a loving family with three brothers and ĺsa has a very complex and complicated family with a cutthroat, overbearing steamroller of a mother and a brother and sister that are the whole of ĺsa’s heart. Ĺsa also has a wonderful friend Nayna, dealing with her own family issues but always has time for ĺsa and vice versa.
CHERISH HARD is a loving and heartfelt book that gives you all the right feels and may even make you shed a tear or two. I’d definitely recommend this and any book by Nalini Singh!
***I voluntarily read a copy of the book in 2017 in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***
Cute lovable story between Sailor and Isa. I enjoyed this story very much, having already read Gabriel’s story first, it was nice to see how Isa and Sailor met and how their love grew. Not my all time favorite as I am an avid fan of all things by Nalini Singh but I did find that it dragged in a few places. I totally loved Rayna and cannot wait to read her and Raj’s story next. Solid 3.5 stars***
Excellent contemporary romance by one of my all-time favorite authors and I was dying to read it. Now, I am seriously in love with every series by this author. And as a standalone romance, this book is excellent. However, compared to the Rock Kiss series, this book is rather forgettable. I mean, it was a fun, engaging read that I devoured rather quickly, but no fan girl moments like when I fell in love with Raphael and Elena or Fox and Molly. But still, seriously awesome.
I am back with another guest review for Saucy Reviews on Kinky Korner from PNR Book Lover Reviews
I’ve got nothing but love to express from here on…
Hello Bookish Friends, I was blessed to have been given an e-arc of this story. Honestly, I was a little hesitant going into this one, not because of the author, because you all know I love Nalini (my fav author) I was hesitant because I haven’t tried any of her contemporary romance before, I have brought it all, but I just haven’t tried.
She is my one-click PNR author
I always thought I would be waiting for a character to shift or grow wings…
Nervous I wouldn’t like it.
So anyways I LOVED Cherish Hard, the writing (as always) is flawless and the characters are so loveable, I LOVED Sailor Bishop.
These two characters are perfect for each other, I loved that there was no drama or unnecessary angst. Nalini introduced us to a whole new family and friends, I am so excited to read about them all in the future.
This is a spin-off from her Rock Kiss stories, and I haven’t read those ones and from this experience, I feel that it is safe to say that you can read this without reading that series.
This is perfectly adorable, sweet and sexy. I found the humor is on point and I adored everything that this book is. I enjoyed the push and pull of their relationship…Even though Sailor was all in from the very moment he spotted her so many years ago, and now being in their twenties he has the opportunity at a second chance to get to know his girl. *swoon*
Seriously bookish friends, this was a true delight to read, I know I haven’t explained what it is about, but I feel if I get to involved in what Cherish Hard is about I will most likely give everything away. I found that this wasn’t too short and it wasn’t too long, its literally the most beautiful romance story.
Isa and Sailor from beginning to end had me captivated.
A wonderfully charming love story. Sailor and Isa are both fighting some inner demons from their childhood. Isa was so strong and I really loved that she was willing to go all in and give Sailor a chance to put her first. Low on angst, high on happy! I am looking forward to Jake and Danny’s stories!
