Chelsea spent most of her life running. She was young when her parents were killed, and she was thrown into the system as just another statistic. One foster home after another, hell after hell. When things got too hard, her first instinct was to get out and fast. She didn’t mind being a club girl. Who wouldn’t want a group of possessive alpha males on your side and in your bed? The freedom and the … The freedom and the lifestyle allowed her to spread her wings while the rules and bylaws kept everyone in line. It was comfortable – safe.
But while her head told her she was happy, her heart reminded her constantly of what she really wanted – Brothers by Blood President, Optimus. He was a brooding asshole who was sexy, loyal and pushed the boundaries of both her body and her mind. He never let her all the way in, but she still couldn’t stay away from him – he was addictive.
Optimus had only one rule – family comes first.
He knew that sometimes sacrifices needed to be made in order to keep the ones he loved safe. He’d done it before and he would do it again.
Being President of the Brothers by Blood MC meant he couldn’t show any weakness. His feelings for Chelsea were off the charts, but so far he’d managed to hide them and keep her at an arm’s length thinking he was protecting her. Beautiful, athletic and sassy, she wasn’t just another club girl, she was HIS girl.
Danger is fast approaching and Chelsea is in its direct sight. Will it be too late for Optimus to show Chelsea how he really feels? And when secrets are revealed will Chelsea stay and stand beside the man she wants or will the urge to run just be too strong?

This book is full of action, betrayal and sexiness. Chelsea has been through hell. But she is strong, sassy and caring. Optimus is one sexy alpha. He tires to push everyone away to protect them. But he can’t pull away for love. Love the friendship Chelsea has with Harmony. On to the next book.
Chelsea loves Optimus but she is at the end of her rope with his go away, come back attitude. Optimus wants to keep Chelsea safe but he may just loose her with his behavior.
I really liked how the author put this story together, it took a lot of thought and I bet a great deal of time. My favorite part of Chelsea was the point where Chelsea feels her time to leave the club has come. I think I was just as broken as Chelsea but then I was angry at Optimus for not manning up and stopping Chelsea. Then there was the trip to the strip club where Chelsea got a crash course in dancing. And lastly we cannot forget the sex scenes which were not screaming cold shower hot but they were definitely having a bed rocking good time so thank you for sharing.
What I didn’t like and will have a huge impact on the star rating, that I really want to give this story (five-star), are the edits. The worst edit was the word ‘study’ which should have been ‘studying’ in most cases, based on how the sentences were worded (example: “Just trying to get some study done.). I have run into this same exact edit way too many times that I am thinking that the author was either in a hurry to get the story done or she wasn’t concerned about her attention to details when it comes to editing, of which I found 27 editing issues, not sure if that is a record for me but it is up there. With all those edits the beautifully written five-star book will be brought down to a one-star.
If you are looking for an emotional roller coaster ride to go with you romance than Chelsea is the book ride for you. Some parts of this story were so sad that I think even my tablet got weepy. Then you have all the bad guys coming out to play and you never guess which ones are gunning for the club or even why. When all the pieces come together you’ll be ready to party with the club at the end and ready to read the next book if there is a next book.

Second book in this series. I absolutely love Chelsea and Op. These two are perfect for each other and steamy hot. Chelsea is a club whore so to speak. But there is something between her and Op if he would just see it. Amazing storyline amazing characters. Addison does an amazing job writing these books. I love the MC story line. There is just something about these that draw you in and have you holding on to see what is going to happen.
The dynamic of the main characters of this book were different than in the first book. Yes Chelsea started out as a club girl, but we didn’t get to see that aspect of it. She was always belonging to one man. I like that aspect but at same time I wanted to see the other aspect at the same time. I was frustrated with Op a lot. He loved her. We could see it, he could see it, she could see it, everybody could see it but he still pushed her away but understand it. I’m glad they finally got their heads out of their butts, and that Chelsea didn’t hold things against him. Loved the twists and everything that happened in this story. I didn’t see somethings coming. The way it ended with the epilogue from Rose has me crazy needing to start the next one. 4 stars #2OCCJD
5 Alpha Sized Stars!!!
This isn’t the first book in this incredible series. I didn’t know about this series until this book. But, you best to believe I’ve already bought book one Harmony and I can’t wait to see what I’ve missed. Because, Optimus and Chelsea story was off the charts.
This is the first MC series told in the club whore’s POV. In every MC book I read it was written for me to despise the club whores. But, not this one. In this series they know and respect their place. Chelsea does not want to be a club whore for the rest of her life and she’s not expecting to be an Old Lady either. While she’s with the club she cooks, cleans takes care of whatever they ask. They in turn pay for her college, give her a place to stay and look after her. She never had a family since hers got murdered. The last thing her mother told her to do was to run. So, when things get crazy Chelsea runs.
Since she’s been with the club Chelsea has fallen for the big bad scary alpha Prez Optimus. Chelsea is the girl he picks 9 outta 10 times. There is definitely something between them and everyone can see it. For some reason Optimus is pushing Chelsea away.
Optimus is the President of the Brothers by Blood MC. He took over after his father got killed a few years earlier. He takes his role as Prez seriously. Optimus has lost a lot of important people in his life. Chelsea means the world to him. He knows deep down she was made for him. But, there’s a threat to the club. And, they’ve let it be known they will take and hurt Chelsea to bring Optimus down. Optimus does the only thing he knows how too and push Chelsea away until everything cools down. He just hopes she’ll still be there and that he hasn’t lost somebody else who he loves.
This book was non-stop action. I loved all the guys in the Brother by Blood MC. Even though they are big bad sometimes scary alpha men, they had feelings. They treated the club girls with respect and not just as a whore. They weren’t considered Old Ladies but they were protected when they needed to be. And, I loved how the girls were all club girls but still looking to do things with their lives. They gave the guys and their Old Ladies respect and respected their purpose. It was such a nice change to see. I am very anxious to read Blizzards story. My breathe is on hold for him.
Let me just say something. I never read a series without reading it from the beginning. And, it’s because I hate when I’m lost about what happened in the previous book(s). But, the synopsis caught me and I just had too. And, I’m so glad I went with my gut to read it. Addison James did an absolutely awesome job at letting someone like me who didn’t read book one to know enough about what to not be lost or have too given away. I am literally going to start reading Harmony once I finish this review. Addison James just got a new stalker oops I mean fan lol
I enjoyed this story. It was well written and fill of action and a deep intricate plot line. I liked the possessiveness of Op… when I read about him. My one complaint/issue with this story is that there was not enough Chelsea and Optimus time. They were apart of a good portion of this story as that is what the plot dictated, but I wanted more of their relationship. I felt that I get a better view and more interesting romance from their relationship in Harmony’s story. This one felt more plot and action directed rather then MC romance. Still a great story and I am moving on to the next in the series.
This was a heartbreaking book for Chelsea. Chelsea had been passed around in foster care when her parents were murdered one night. Now the one who done it is trying to kill her too. This was an amazing read as always. She wanted to be his old lady, but he was trying to protect her. But it wasn’t working. He was almost too late when he finally found her. I’m a big club girl fan and love this series.
