I have to focus on freeing myself… but she’s all I see.I never wanted the throne. I just wanted a normal life. Free to do what I want. Who I want.Luckily, I discovered a secret–and a loophole. Turns out I have a long-lost brother. All I have to do is track him down and make him the prince. A kingdom is what everyone secretly wishes they had instead of a job, right? Everyone but me.The clock is … but me.
The clock is ticking, and the last thing I have time for is cleaning up behind my sexy, accident-prone new neighbor. She’s everything I don’t want but can’t seem to stop thinking about. The fact that she’s spoken for shouldn’t make me so furious.
She can be my friend, but nothing more.
I can’t touch her. Can’t kiss her. Can’t fantasize about all the things I could do with her. To her.
And most of all, I can’t let her find out who I am.
(This is Book 1 in the Royals Undercover duet.)

This book was sooo good! I couldn’t stop reading. The twists and turns and tension held me captive the whole way through! Sebastian and Len were perfect. I fell in love with them both! I need to know how their story ends!
A little predictable but the storyline is fun and kept me interested throughout.
I didn’t realize this was a cliffhanger. The story was good but I am not sure if I care enough to read the sequel
Great characters. Well written, but a little slow for me.
They took their time getting to know one another before anything happened. Nothing wrong with that but it was 85% before they were “together.”
Funny, passionate and engaging enough I might read the next one.
I loved Cheeky Royal! It’s is a fun, sweet romance between a prince and the woman who is sent to protect him.
We all want someone to love us for who we are, not ‘who we are’ and Sebastian is no exception. So, as he gets to know his new neighbor, Len (Penny), he likes that she enjoys spending time with him, not because he is a prince, but simply because she likes to hang out with him.
Penny is torn between completing her assignment of protecting Sebastian, her feelings that she has for him and the guilt of deceiving him and not disclosing who she really is.
And we are left with a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read the rest of this story.
Wow I need more holy cliffhanger. I Love the dual pov. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. Loved every second of this royal romance. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
So I really enjoyed cheeky royal it was a fun easy read that I had no issue losing myself in.
This had no high brow storyline to draw the reader in and relied totally on its charming storyline which had me smiling and chuckling to myself throughout.
I’m not gonna rehash the blurb here but will just say that this is one of those stories that creeps up on you by surprise.
I really wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I did but it had such a feel-good factor to it that it was very easy to enjoy.
The main characters here were both so likeable and relatable and I especially enjoyed the fact that Cheeky Royal progressed at a slower pace that allowed both Seb & Len to connect emotionally before taking the plunge in regards to sexual union.
There were no big plot twists and this was predictable but I didn’t actually find that a minus.
It was refreshing to just get what it says on the tin, chill and kick back.
This also had a couple of great side characters that definitely added to the storyline as well.
But the brother sheesh he was a right nob-trot.
I’m looking forward to the next book in the series as I was really intrigued where this ended.
happy to recommend Cheeky Royal it was a great engaging read.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of (Cheeky Royal (Royals Undercover, #1) of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
Cheeky Prince a short (free) novella gives us insight into the backstory of Sebastian and Penny, which provides us with a feeling of their friendship as children. That friendship doesn’t come up in Cheeky Royal until about a quarter of the way through Cheeky Royal. The central part of the first quarter is setting up Penny and her feelings of failing at what her family had always excelled at, being a member of the royal guard. When presented with a request from the king to find, follow, then protect Prince Sebastian, she panics. That is until a server about her boyfriend is revealed, causing her to feel the need to get away.
Sebastian, on the other hand, had been on a personal secret mission and had been hiding in plain sight to achieve his goals of finding a replacement to head the kingdom he is destined to rule.
As a tale of intrigue, suspense, and secrets commences, we are left to determine if the secrets each holds will be the demise of their friendship or if it will lead to something more.
** Note: I received a complimentary copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. **
This is the first book of the Royals Undercover Series. It is not required to read Cheeky Prince before reading this one, but it is nice to have some of the background presented in the prequel. However, it is required to read this book before the second (Cheeky King) as this one does end in a cliffhanger. I love the character of Penelope (aka Penny and Len). I love her klutzy behavior and her desire to do what is right. Sebastian is the prince who just wants to be normal. I loved seeing the relationship grow between Sebastian and Penny. This is written from dual POV so we have both Sebastian and Penny’s perspective. The ending had me wanting the next book right then.
Penny is a Royal Guard but she craves to be an artist. Sebastian is the Royal Prince and next in line for the throne but he wants to be a photographer. Both Penny and Sebastian are trying to live in a world where their wants and needs are ruled by their families. When Penny is ordered by the King to go undercover as Len a budding artist and find and bring Prince Sebastian home as well as protect him, she doesn’t realize that she needs to protect her heart as well. Sebastian meets Len and feels the instant connection but with danger and lies surrounding them can they find what they truly want which a life free from what is expected of them. I really loved this book and the story of Penny “Len” and Sebastian. They both struggle but are perfect for each other. I cannot wait to read their conclusion in Cheeky King. Definitely recommend this book and series.
Penny was given an assignment she could not refuse. Locate her childhood friend and convince him to come home. If she uses her womanly wiles, so be it. Anything to get the job done.
Sebastian does not remember Penny. He is getting to know her as a whole new person. They both have secrets they are not yet ready to share. Secrets that may rock this new start.
Such a fun start to a great new series. I love the characters and the humor. Each page is a delight and I have a hard time putting it down. I cannot wait for the next installment in the Royals Undercover series.
***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.
Complex characters, fast-paced action with a bit of romance and intrigue mixed in.
OMG is all I can say about his book. The Cheeky Royal will make you swoon! Ashley @ White Hot Reads
This book is a Cliffhanger and all I can say is I did not see the ending being what it was. I totally fell in love with these two and the love story they have. I cannot wait for the next book!
This is an epic, addictive, and sexy romance that challenges gender stereotypes and perceptions.
Penny is a funny, badass, but klutzy member of the Royal Guard, so clumsy actually that she has become a glorified secretary. Her own father and brother don’t believe in her abilities, she doesn’t believe in her abilities. Penny is also all the insecure part of the character, and the unfulfilled parts. Penny is the Royal Guard member that hates her job but prioritises her family legacy and pride over her own needs, her own happiness and her own passion for art.
Len is like the alter ego to Penny, but also the truest parts of her. She’s quirky, confident, bohemian artist that’s still awesome, hilarious, badass, sweet and clumsy in an endearing kind of way. Penny’s obligations and loyalty mirrors Sebastian’s, while Len’s passion, hope and artistry mirrors Sebastian’s inner self, and that made my heart so happy.
Sebastian is my new book boyfriend. He’s insanely sexy, like overheating both you and your kindle kind of hot, he’s confident, loyal and possesses a gentleness and flawed vulnerability that was truly beautiful. I ADORE these two together, I love that they get to be their true selves when they’re together and that they truly understand one another.
And that ending? I desperately need my arc of Cheeky King RIGHT FREAKING NOW. I need to know what’s going to happen next and I need them to get the fairytale ending they deserve.
Cheeky Royal is a fun, sexy, immersive, easy read book that I stayed up until 3am reading became I needed to know how it was going to end. I love these characters and I’m so so so unbelievably invested in their love story. And I cannot believe this is my first Nana Malone book! Girl, where have your books been all my life?!
I love this author’s writing style and her characters. In this story the reader meets Penny and Sebastian. Penny is part of the Royal Guard as that is the position that has been held by members of her family for generations. It is not exactly what she wants to do with her life but feels like she has no choice and to say that she is accident prone is an understatement. In some ways she reminds me of Janet Evanovich’s character Stephanie Plum in that things always have a way of working out no matter how convoluted they get. Sebastian is the royal prince who does not want any part of being king and he may have found a way around it. In order to accomplish his task, he sets out on a journey trying to find the one person who may be able to help him without the protection of the Royal Guard. The king fearing for his life decides to enlist the help of Penny to keep an eye on the prince without his knowing. Will Sebastian figure out who Penny really is and blow her cover? What ensues is a storyline with twists and turns, deception and the arrival of someone who turns the entire story on its edge. Yes, it does end in a cliff hanger but knowing this author I cannot wait for the next book which is sure to be another page turner.
I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
Contemporary Romance, with dual-POV.
Book #1 of a series. This should be read in order and there is a cliffhanger at the end.
WHAT HAS REALLY WORKED FOR ME

Character: hero 4/5, heroine 4/5, secondary characters 4/5, growth 4/5, real 4/5 They were all easy to love, connect and understand. Sebastian and Penny have similar backgrounds, even though they don’t know it. They both want to break the mold, but don’t really know how. They were not looking for love, and their relationship is forbidden. They make it easy to like them and to root for their impossible love story. There are a lot of interesting secondary characters like Ariel, Lucas and the guys from the Blake security firm.
Cover: art 4/5, title 5/5, subtitle 4/5, color-font 5/5, buy 5/5 I would buy this book without reading the blurb. The art is sexy, the title is catchy and the overall effect is hot.
Freshness: This is a different. The plot has a fresh feel. Two or three twists in there that elevates the story and makes it UNIQUE!
Plot: believable 4/5, conflict 5/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 5/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 4/5, pace 4/5, setting 4/5, subplots 4/5, twists 5/5 Good opening and wonderful ending. Perfect conflict and very well written dialogues. Steady pace with enough subplots to enhance the story. A few unexpected twists that had me in shock! Really, those twists made the story. It kept me going and I can’t wait to read more.
Romance: believable 4/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 53/5 Yes. I could feel their attraction from the beginning. Their chemistry was amazing and the romance was slowly built, but very believable. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen now.
Writing Style: I loved it. It was a fun, sexy read, with a great love story and very interesting plot. The author knows how to shake the readers and change the pace.

Would I recommend? I would recommend this book for everyone that enjoys romance.
Would I re-read this book? Yes.
Would I re-read this series? Sure.
Would I read more from the author? Yes, I’m looking forward to see more of Ms. Malone’s work.
You MAY read this because you like the author; you SHOULD read this because you like romance; you MUST read this because you like your royals a bit dirty and romantic!
Cheeky Royal was an engaging, entertaining, suspenseful thrill ride with some secrets that will have you like, WHOA!!
Meet the swoony, loveable, cocky prince, Sebastian. Quite the delightful character that I grew to love. He has so many layers to him.
I found the storyline quite unique, and the relationship between Sebastian and Penny exceptional!! The dynamic between them, the slow burn, the dual POV.
I ADORED Cheeky Royal!! And I can’t wait for Sebastian and Len’s story to continue in Cheeky King!!!
Penelope (Penny or Len) is part of the Royal Guard and the King has asked her to find his son, Prince Sebastian and bring him back safely. Unfortunately, Penny is a bit of a clutz and doesn’t think she can handle the job until she’s found him and getting close to him.
This is a mix of sweet and hot as you watch 2 people develop feelings for each other while both harbor a major secret that would change everything if/when it gets exposed. Although, truthfully Penny knows his secret, he just doesn’t realize it.
But, BAM! This book ends with a seriously good cliffhanger. I can’t wait to find out what happens!
Penelope “Penny” Marsh needs all her skill and her friend Ariel to get the job done. This story does a lot of teasing. Our author is very good at putting up roadblocks. I did have to feel sorry for Penny because she has people that don’t believe in her abilities – hints of a double standard. Besides the roadblocks, our author creates some suspense – just another way she teases her readers. And even with all that she gives the reader a surprise at the end.
Sebastian does make an appearance, several in fact, in this first book in the series. But I felt that Cheeky Prince was more his story and this was more of Penny’s. He has his own story going on but Penny is given a job to do and I just wanted to know how Ariel and Penny were going to handle their assignment. Once I started this book I just couldn’t put it down. A lot of that was due to what Ms. Malone has written. I wanted to see what she had in store for her characters. And since the ending didn’t leave me with a lot of answers, I guess I’ll have no choice but to make sure to read Cheeky King.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Another engaging read from Nana Malone. Cheeky Royal is a terrific mix of light-hearted fun, a bit of suspense, and loads of secrets. Sebastian and Penny have great chemistry even when they’re determined that nothing will happen between them. Of course, it doesn’t take a genius to know that something will most certainly happen and when it does, it is nothing short of scorching hot. This is just the beginning of the story for Penny and Sebastian, so be warned, there is a cliffy and is jaw dropping. I can’t wait to see where it all goes from here.
