JAKE LASSITER TACKLES THE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SCANDAL
Rich parents will pay anything to get their kids into college…
For a price, Kip Lassiter can get the perfect score on any test…
When Kip is charged with fraud, his heartbroken Uncle Jake must defend an unwinnable case.
Dr. Melissa Gold, Lassiter’s fianceé, tries to keep the ailing lawyer strong enough for a grueling trial, even as his … grueling trial, even as his symptoms of brain damage grow worse. As a fiery showdown brings the courtroom to a fever pitch, Lassiter risks everything – including his own life – to fight for his nephew’s freedom.
“CHEATER’S GAME is a top-notch tale from Paul Levine, and his Lassiter is my kind of lawyer!” – Michael Connelly, author of “The Lincoln Lawyer”
NOTE: All the Lassiter novels are stand-alones that may be enjoyed in any order.

Not great literature but part of a series of quirky characters who I liked.
Yet another great book by Lassiter. Good court room antics, as usual. Lot’s of witty dialogue.
Very contemporary story that is very much in line with recent news articles. I found it very interesting and would recommend it for escapism assuming you have the time.
Well written
Having read the previous books in the Jake Lassiter series, I THOROUGHLY enjoyed ‘Cheater’s Game’! Really excellent development of the characters in the series, particularly Jake & Kip. Highly recommend!
Love Jake Lassiter
Interesting, but predictable
The story kept me interested, and the characters were well-rounded for the most part. I wouldn’t say it was a great story, but it was entertaining and kept my interest enough to finish it. The court room scenes were good.
Interesting behind the scenes story of the college admissions scandal. Always a bit sad to finish aJake Lassiter story as it feels like saying “goodbye “ to friends.
Paul Levine is on top of his game with Cheater’s Game. I will read anything by this author!
Love Jake Lassiter! And now here’s 2 current topics right up his alley: concussive brain damage due to football and parents buying their way into primo universities. Jake’s brilliant but bratty nephew gets caught up in abetting high school seniors lie their way into college. Then he gets caught and concussive brain-damaged lawyer Uncle Jakes decides, against all odds, to defend him in court. It’s a rollicking read: fun, funny, yet addressing serious issues facing many today. A good read.
Well written and well researched for a look at a recent issue. I enjoy all of his books.
Sad commentary on our society, but true.
Another great story. I’m sad I have read all Paul Levine has written and I am eagerly waiting for more in the future.
This book kept me awake . I could not put it down. I especially like the outside of the courtroom interaction as well as the courtroom drama. And the medical side of both dependent and lawyer was very realistic .
I really like the Kake Lassiter character He is like Everyman, at the same time being exceptional The story has its twists and turns and Lassiter has his ups and downs, but in the end he prevails
Very boring
Another great addition to Paul Levine’s oeuvre. Up to date.
