Lucas Thorn wasn’t born a cheater. All it took was a single moment—say, a certain disastrous incident on the night before his wedding—and boom. Reputation destroyed forever and always. So now he owns it. He has a lady friend for every night of the week (except Sundays—God’s day and all), and his rules are simple: No commitments. No exceptions. But a certain smart-mouthed, strawberry blonde vixen … strawberry blonde vixen is about to blow that all to hell.
Avery Black has never forgiven Lucas for cheating on her sister. And suddenly being forced to work with him is pretty much a nightmare on steroids. Of course, it does afford her the opportunity to make his life as difficult as possible. But no good revenge scheme comes without payback. Because he didn’t become the Lucas Thorn without learning a few things about women.
Now Avery’s lust for vengeance has turned into, well, lust. And if Lucas stops cheating, it’s definitely not because he’s falling in love…

I have to say that this was my first time reading a book by this author and I’m wondering what took me so long in finding her! This book was hilarious! I loved the byplay between Lucas and Avery, and the characterization of the secondary characters was very well done as well. Brooke was the kind of sister you loved to hate, and Lucas’ parents were crack-you-up crazy! The only thing I didn’t care for was some of Lucas’ attitudes about cheating, but I understood that we had to see them to watch his emotional journey to love. All things considered, a great introduction to the author’s writing style and I’m eager to read more by her!
I liked the premise of the book – there were a couple of moments where I had to put it down for a second when things got twisted but jumped back in when I remembered it was just a story and not my life and could breathe again.
I really enjoyed the plot twist in the beginning, it caught my attention completely. I just really enjoy romance, as I am and always will be a hopeless romantic.
