Once upon a time, humankind ruled the world while lycans and vampires lived in secret. This is no longer that time.JulietIt is my duty to obey, to give my body and blood to a vampire master until he no longer has use for me.There is no escape.Nowhere to run.Follow the rules or die.I don’t want to die.DariusTwenty-two years of conditioning has crafted the perfect poison–a weapon my enemies won’t … years of conditioning has crafted the perfect poison–a weapon my enemies won’t see coming. I’ll break her, train her, and use her to take down everyone who stands in my way.
She’s alluring.
She’s perfect.
And she’s mine.
Welcome to the future where the superior bloodlines make the rules.
Proceed at your own risk.

“Darius,” I breathed as darkness dimmed the stars. Some part of me knew we were heading down a dangerous path. I struggled to emerge enough to warn him, to beg him…
“D…” My mouth felt dryer than it should. Heavy. I tried to lick my lips but couldn’t move my tongue.
Everything felt so much cooler than moments ago.
Numb.
Darius.
Midnight consumed my vision as I blinked into a starless night.
So alone.
I always expected to die…
I never expected to want to live.
Until today.
Until Darius inspired hope.
Another cruel Vampire joke.
I should have known…

So I read this one as A-the whole idea behind this series really intrigued my sense of curiosity: its just such an imaginative endeavour and B-I signed up to Arc read the next in this series and it’s always better to start at the beginning and in this case no hardship at all as this was just fantastic reading.
This was a dark dystopian read: A world in the future where Vampires and Lycanthropes are now top of the food chain and humans are cattle: without any rights whatsoever and solely reduced to property totally at there masters will.
Juliet because of her unique bloodline is a blood slave: raised with a single purpose to serve a highborn master for however short a time that may be.
With her unique addictive flavour, these humans are the cream of the crop and sell for top dollar.
Purchased at auction by a new master with his own hidden agenda: Darius has a special assignment in place for his new blood slave.
Dark, dirty and decadent ‘Chastely Bitten’ was such an intense experience and at times I felt a deep sense of dread down to the bottom of my very soul.
The pathetically short and horrendous lives these humans get to live out well death actually seemed like a small mercy offered up in comparison to there ongoing suffering.
So this was narrated in dual Pov which I do prefer.
Darius out of the two was the one I took longer to warm up to mainly because of his end game which involved using Juliet to accomplish his hidden agenda.
There were times he was so single-minded and coldly focused on his goals even to the detriment of Juliet’s own personal safety that I struggled to like him.
Though I did get why he was this way as the importance of his agenda and the role he expected Juliet to play was bigger than his own wants and needs: it still was hard to take his disregard though.
Juliets confusion as she tries to overcome her conditioning while still at times having to portray an outward role for the benefit of others perusal was expected.
She is no longer a simple sheep but starting to think for herself which is entirely Darius’s intention but he really wants her willing cooperation in these things and not just her blind obedience.
It’s understandable that she struggles to some degree with this after years of indoctrination at the hands of her masters.
So there were some scenarios here that I wasn’t much a fan of namely the blood sharing of Juliet.
It’s for a reason other than just pure gratification so even though I didn’t like it personally: I could still deal somewhat.
This was also as you would expect quite dark in places in regards to the current ongoing practices employed by the supernaturals towards the humans.
In my opinion, this is a great start to this series: there’s an underground rebellion of the current system underway and I am ever so interested to see in what direction this is heading.
This really did set the stage brilliantly for future story progression a great read that I am happy to recommend.

Chastely Bitten Introduces us to Lilith and the Lycans and Darius and the Royals, a group of Vampires. There is such a wide array of characters some you will love, some are just there to be looked upon with disgust. As I don’t dare use a word strong as hate as I might be turned into something else. lol.
Juliet is a character that is resigned to a servant a blood slave if you will but, there is more to her than you know.
Darius purchases Juliet to be his blood slave only he sees something different with her and he finds her intriguing and must discover what it is that causes a fire with in him.
Lilith leaves you pondering her and her group of lycans. This book gives you a roller coaster ride of emotions.
Despite what you may think, this not like twilight there are no sparkly vampires.
OMG!!!!!! I LOVED IT !! I’m not a huge fan of vampire books but this one has changed my mind Darius is the most unique vampire I’ve ever read about. He is attracted to Juliet he sees her and knows that she is the one for his plans. She of course is confused, all her life she has been taught that there is only way in life and it changes it and her. There is Lust and Love, Good and Evil, and more secrects to be revealed. For me it was a 2 hour read, (I could not put it down and midnight came to soon) I’m excited about book 2, if it’s as good as the first one, this will be one of my favorite authors.
In a world where Vampires and Lycans rule over humans, Juliet is one such human. She is purchased by an ancient vampire, Darius. Darius isn’t like many of his brethren. Finding Juliet, he knows who can help him try to change the world.
I had no clue what I was in for when I got this. Seemed all clear, vampires……lycans…..oppressed humans, blah blah blah…..
I was wrong, this was way more then I expected, full of intrigue, sexiness, weird fricking vampire rules and the beginning of an amazing storyline. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
This book certainly captured my attention. It’s all about the discipline. Or is it? Being a blood virgin is all Juliet knows. Darius buys her and has major plans for her. There is some suspense, some action, and some sexy scenes. It seems like we will not find out what he really has planned. Hang in there, it is good… Pam James.
A well written novel that is easy to read and comprehend, easy to get lost in and feel like your actually there. Characters are easy to follow, and are easy to like. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series, I loved the story.
Dangerously seductive and dark. A sexy dystopian PNR that captured my attention from the beginning and held me captive throughout. Chastely Bitten introduces this new cruel world of power, dominance and blood. I enjoyed Darius and Juliet I can’t wait to see what how everything unfolds.
A different take on vampires. This is pretty dark so its not for everyone. Its very well written and I enjoyed it. Humans have no rights and are slaves. Bred to serve vampires. Darius purchases Julia. Julia has always known she was bred for one purpose. Darius starts to retrain her. Its not easy because all her life she’s not known anything else. This isnt a feel good vampire romance. Its dark and gritty. This author has you all over the place and believe me its a good thing and keeps you on edge! She doesnt disappoint readers. I’m not a huge fan of super dark but this one….I liked it. Author drags you in and not many can do that. Awesome job.
I have read quite a few vampire/werewolf books and none have left such an imprint as this one. I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved Lexi’s Immortal Curse series (currently waiting on the next installment) and I wasn’t disappointed with this new series. At least not until it ended. Now I have to wait for the next one
I wish I knew why I waited so long to read Chastely Bitten. As with all of Lexi’s books I always enjoy myself and Chastely Bitten was no different. The lure of political intrigued and games has me hooked and while everything that Juliet feels towards Darius I can echo it definitely takes me longer to follow her lead. He is most assuredly a bad guy you love…for all the right reasons. Toss in the search for the rightful heir and Darius’s partners in crime and I was hooked.
Amazingly thrilling and exciting Chastely Bitten by Lexi C Foss will have you begging for more!
In the shadows no more, vampire and lycan now rule over the human race.
With no rights and treated no better than cattle, humans have a bleak existence in servitude to vampire and lycan alike.
Trained and brain washed to be sexually submissive, Juliet knows nothing else. Ignorant even of human ways and freedoms before the ascension of vampire and lycan clans.
She is bought at auction as a virgin blood slave. Her new sire is not what she was expecting and plays by his own set of rules.
Darius is a powerful vampire playing a game he intends to win.
Will Juliet simply be his pawn or will she become his Queen?
I was riveted right from the beginning. The carnality and the need in this book is palpable.
From the very beginning, the story had me on the edge of my seat and kept me there until the very end.
Juliet’s reactions seemed real based on the conditioning she went through. I enjoyed the natural and gradual way her character began to change although sometimes her submissive nature grated.
Sexy, demanding and possessive Darius is definitely secretive. He had me guessing at his motives throughout the entire book. Is he good? Bad? Why does he do what he does?
I must say, though, that I wanted more from these characters. When I reached the end of this book, it felt like it was only the beginning of their story and I was a little disappointed that their story is not continued in the next book.
Be assured, however, that I will without a doubt be continuing this engrossing and captivating series.
This is a book not to be missed by dark, paranormal romance lovers.
Gah! I’m all over the place with this one, pissed off, emotional, a tad put off and a whole lot turned on. LOL This was definitely a love/hate situation with these characters.
I’m no virgin to Lexi’s words but………holy hell!……..I wasn’t prepared for the all out hotness level of this book. She definitely let her inner dark and dirty girl out to play. I guess I should have expected no less with Vamps and Lycons ruling the world and humans are used as mere playthings and a source of sustenance.
There is biting, blood and lots of sexy. There is injustice, villains, and champions. There is rage, sorrow and healing. But most of all, there is a story rooted in the dark world and an author who stayed true to that world and gave us a story full of the horrors of injustice but left us with hope for a better future.
Me being me, I had a hard time with the submissive nature of Juliet and the superiority of Darius. While Darius is fighting, in his own way, for humanity, he still believes his race is superior and while Juliet does breakout of her brainwashing some to find courage and a sense of self, it doesn’t quite get to a point where I’m comfortable. And maybe, I shouldn’t be. Maybe that’s the point. Change takes time and every being has flaws. These two are working towards a better future and in a horrific world, maybe that’s good enough.
Overall, I’m very intrigued with this world where vamps aren’t in hiding and human’s aren’t in control. It’s unique and I can’t wait to see where Lexi take us and these characters next.
I freaking love vampires, all types, and every author has a different interpretation of them. Still I love them all. Lexi C. Foss went all out and created a whole world where Vampires rule and people are cattle, slaves or breeders, and it.is.freaking.awesome. So good, the politics, bloody dinner parties, double talking, training, secrets, schemes, plans, sexy steamy and romantic interludes, just everything. It’s all just so good, I highly recommend this for anyone that likes vampires, and isn’t afraid of a little dark romance and political gaming.
Lexi Foss has absolutely captivated me with her Blood Alliance Series. Talk about hot as sin vampires, rugged, rough, and possessive-yup, this is no Angel, these vamps will have you begging for oh, so much more.
In a world where Vampires and Lycans rule, there’s always a few that want to break the rules. Enter Darius and his sultry ways, he whirls a decadent stream of lust that keeps you turning those pages. The strength that emanates from Juliet makes one badass heroine. The vampires in this series are dark, possessive and true alpha males. Truly a captivating series, one I highly recommend.
I’m amazed how this author can take the idea of vampires and spin it and develop it into a whole new world. This PNR is more than just romance, lust, and kinky. Although it has that and it’s fantastic. It’s got its own politics, it’s own farming system, it’s own god or should I say goddess. This story is dark, intelligent, sexy, and so epic!
Wow, when I started reading this story I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out because I have loved the Immortal Curse series so much, but oh boy did this story surprise me with how much I loved it also and I can’t wait to read any more books in this series because I can’t wait to find out what happens next with Juliet and Darius but also with Jace! Mrs. Foss thank you so much for letting me read your books, I have truly enjoyed reading all the books that I’ve read so far from you!
Decadently Dark and Dangerously Delicious!!
(No Spoilers)
Foss has again created a world that drags its readers in and keeps them captive – An engaging first in a series that should not be missed!
“There was a spark in her near-bony eyes that the others lacked. I’d use that to my advantage. Craft and mold her into the perfect poison” – Darius with regards to Juliet
Juliet –
Raised from birth to be the quintessential blood slave – Nothing more than a vessel with a pulse to provide sustenance and pleasure for the superior race. I enjoyed watching Juliet slowly emerge. Her character is such a force to be reckoned with.
Darius-
Juliet’s master and a very old vampire. He has plans and he will sacrifice whatever and whoever is necessary to ensure that they come to fruition. Sometimes the cost is high.
Darius had me on the fence in the beginning. He can be so cruel at times then a moment later you can see the light that edges his darkness breaking through. (MINE)
Chastely Bitten introduces us to an intense mix of characters and personalities – from the darkest of the Vampires to the kindest of Lycans and vice versa – a wonderful cast that follows you beyond the pages -I am all kinds of curious about Lilith and the Lycans and Darius’ maker and the Royals – love the Royals (keep an eye on them as you read )
When we first meet Juliet she is portrayed as meek and subservient (A lifetime of fear and manipulation can do that) but we see glimpses of the fire that smolders right below the surface. Darius has purchased her, but not with the intent of a blood slave (okay fine- not completely with that intent) He has every intention of kindling that spark he glimpses until it shines so bright it burns. She will be his perfect accompaniment – She will be the edge he needs to change the Alliance -or she will be smothered until there is nothing left of her fire.
Let the games begin!
What a story ! Such a refreshing take on vampires and Lycans. From the start I was intrigue and the story only got better and better. With the vampires and lycans ruling the world. There is more than meets the eye. Yes, Darius is a hot calculating, self serving vampire and yes, I still adore him. But to even imagine what it would be like for humans.. enter Juliet.. yikes is all I am going to say. All the more intriguing !
One thing I’ve grown to appreciate and love about this author is how I can immerse myself so deeply with her characters and just escape. When you start having dreams about the characters you’re reading. You know it’s THAT good !
I love this new series by Lexi C Foss!!! Keeps you turning the page!!! I am a big fan of her work and I look forward to the next book in this series!!! Read and enjoy!!!
