“Darius,” I breathed as darkness dimmed the stars. Some part of me knew we were heading down a dangerous path. I struggled to emerge enough to warn him, to beg him…
“D…” My mouth felt dryer than it should. Heavy. I tried to lick my lips but couldn’t move my tongue.
Everything felt so much cooler than moments ago.
Numb.
Darius.
Midnight consumed my vision as I blinked into a starless night.
So alone.
I always expected to die…
I never expected to want to live.
Until today.
Until Darius inspired hope.
Another cruel Vampire joke.
I should have known…

I so hope you are ready to dive into an incredible world where vampires and Lucas are in charge while humans are pretty much cattle. Juilet has been raised to be the perfect slave in all ways making her perfect for Darius’s secret hidden plan. The story is fascinating as the world unfolds filled with surprises as well as plenty of heat. Perfect for fans of the genre. I so cannot wait to dive back into this world with book two. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
A world where Vampires and Lycans rule and humans aren’t much more than a source of food or a toy to play with…
Author Lexi C. Foss lets her dark side out to play in Chastely Bitten and it is oh so good. If you are a fan of Lexi’s other paranormal series I have no doubt you will love this one too.
I never thought I could instantly love a series as much as I did with Lexi’s Immortal Curse series but this book proved me wrong. I cannot wait to see where the Blood Alliance series takes us and will likely be stalking Ms. Foss on Facebook for the foreseeable future just so I know when I can get my next fix for one of her awesome books.
If you are new to Lexi’s books hold on to your wallet tight because you’re going to find yourself wanting to buy them ALL once you’ve entered into any of her worlds.
Lexi Foss has done it again. I started this book two hours ago and just got done. Couldn’t but it down.
She captures your attention in the first chapter and keeps the story following beautifully no lapses, boring scenarios. Wonderfully addictive. Can’t wait to read more.
This book had captured my attention from the start with the fantastic world building to the steamy dynamics between the two main characters, Darius and Juliet. It was one of those books that the end snuck up on you before you realized you were even there.
The unpredictability of the MC’s relationship had me on the edge of my seat several times wondering why Darius was doing what he was doing, feeling the fury and anxiety of Juliet. There were several steamy scenes throughout that will keep you entranced but does not overpower the plot to this story

One of my favourite PNR of 2020!!
Lexi C. Foss is a new to me author Michelle Clay recommended to me about a month back, and y’all she does NOT DISAPPOINT!
Chastely Bitten is the story of a Blood Virgin sold to a Vampire, and this is honestly one of the BEST Paranormal Romances I’ve read this year. It combines romance, vampires, lycan (werewolves), and all in a post apocalyptic type world where Darius is determined to make sure that nobody ever forgets his Blood Virgins name.
Darius doesn’t just want Juliet because she’s beautiful, virginal, and her blood has been purified down the lineage into the best, most rare type of blood one can find. Darius wants to use Juliet to turn the whole of Vampire royalty to his unholy plan, he just has to keep her from dying first!
Juliet has been trained from birth, and sometimes not in the best of ways, to be submissive and give Darius exactly what he wants. Imagine her surprise after leaving the auction floor when she finds Darius doesn’t want her that way, for the first several days. Instead he wants her to read!
This book goes from being filled with emotion, over the top HOT slow burn, to mind-blowing in just a few days, with Darius trying to keep a member of the Vampire royalty from killing Juliet, while simultaneously attempting to turn her into the deadliest weapon ever created!
I am in love with this new series, and cannot WAIT to read the entire thing! Lexi C. Foss and her book, Chastely Bitten, was a definite 5 star treasure to close out 2020 with!!
A Very Good Start
First didn’t know where this story was headed, then slowly it all comes into play and then you’re seeing a dystopian world where Vampires & Lycans rule the world and humans are at the bottom of the food chain! Where some are trained to be a love slave, others become breeders, and then others fight for the chance to be on some police force to police the humans! Oh, and they believe a royal is literally a God among them. Freaking crazy, but a really good story. On to the next! #HappyReading
This is an intriguing read, set in a world where lycans and vampires rule and humans are basically property. Foss manages to weave corruption and what seems to be a brewing war, while still packing in some pretty high-heat scenes, real feel, loyalty tests and lots of witty dialogue.
An enjoyable read that left me wanting more of this world.
4 stars.

Listed to the audiobook; these narrators have extremely pleasant voices and absolutely serve to enhance the reading experience.
When i started reading this I couldn’t stop.. It has an excellent plot. A whole world is being built but a very small part if it is revealed in this book. Darius and Natalie are great characters. Darius is older than dirt and is full of compassion. His compassion is what makes him lethal. He can play the game and is willing to go all out to help humanity. Natalie helps him do that. She goes from being a zombie to a person in this story. I loved watching their relationship develop while her personality did. It’s a great story. I recommend it and I’m going to be reading all of them.
I received an ARC and I’m voluntarily leaving an honest review
This is the first book I have read from Lexi C Foss and let start by saying I cannot believe I waited so long to read something by her. So I did not know what to expect when I started but was very intrigued because we had vampies in it. The characters to me where well developed. You have Darius (vampire) who has a plan and want to put it in motion. Juliet is a human with special blood. So here is where everything just gets crazy. So Juliet has been raised with set rules and basically brain washed. Darius wants to break her. Can you break someone who is already broken? Gah these vampires are some tricksters and boy can they mess with your mind. I mean at one point I was sorry for Juliet because, man I needed her to get a backbone. Darius is one patient man and I am suprised he lasted as long as he did. Will the darkness around them take over? All I know is that I became a fan after this book. I cannot wait to read the next one.
Chastely Bitten (Blood Alliance Series Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I have loved reading and can not wait to read the rest of this wonderful series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about reading about vampires, lycans and paranormal romance.
I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
Chastely Bitten is an interesting introduction to the Blood Alliance world. In a world where Lycans and Vampires have divided up the human population, and everything else, all hope is seemingly lost. Humans have no rights and are, for the most part, a food and pleasure source for each faction. Chastely Bitten follows Juliet, a “blood virgin”, and Darius, the vampire who purchases her at an auction. Juliet was raised from birth with one purpose, submit in all ways to her vampire sire. Little does she realize that the vampire who finally purchases her has very big goals for her. Overall I found the story interesting and different. My biggest issue would be the main characters themselves. The story is told in dual POV, which I liked, but in this particular instance it didn’t help me like Darius or Juliet any more. I found Darius cold and aloof and Juliet whiny and petulant.
This story doesn’t end in a cliffhanger, per say. We get a resolution to the romance aspect of Darius and Juliet. However, there is no resolution as to the bigger political issue that underlies the story as a whole. I have no idea if that issue will be resolved in the subsequent books in the story. The following books feature different couples. I’m inclined to think that the bigger issue will be resolved eventually. I doubt Foss put that much time into the plot and world building to leave us hanging.
Chastely Bitten is book one in the ‘Blood Alliance’ series by Lexi C. Foss. The book tells the story of Juliet and Darius. Juliet is a blood virgin. Put into slavery because she is human, she is paid for by Darius to be his blood donor and much more. Darius is a vampire and part of the upper echelon when it comes to vampire politics. There isn’t anything he won’t do in order to have Juliet and when he does get her, he must break her as not only is her blood special, but she is special and going to help him get what he wants…ultimate power.
The story has a lot of build up between Juliet and Darius. Juliet is one of those characters that comes across as weak but ultimately isn’t, she has just been trained to not think and do whatever a vampire has told her to do. It is only from reconditioning from Darius that we see her starting to change into the weapon that he needs her to be.
We also get to see through Darius’s eyes and why he is doing what he is doing, although Juliet is his property and he wants to own her, mind, body and soul there is still a deep connection that he feels for her. At the beginning of the story he comes across as quite arrogant and you see him develop the more the story goes along and understand why he has drawn certain lines in the sand when it comes to him and Juliet.
This was a strong paranormal romance, with plenty of sexy scenes and a story line which can only get better as the series goes along. It will also be interesting to see the development of Juliet and if she becomes stronger and more independent as she is pulled into a web of paranormal politics.

I first read Lexi C. Foss was from Cavalieri Della Morte series. I knew she wrote PNR, but I hadn’t been in the mood for that at the time. I’VE BEEN MISSING OUT! What a beautifully crafted mind-play!
FUCK YES! Talk about smoking, my lower regions were on fire reading this book. I found a new PNR with a bit of a twist, almost dystopian. GAH! This book was a tad dark, depraved, and most definitely recommended for twisted book readers. Especially ones that love supernatural. I am in love with the storyline, so disturbing, intriguing, addictive. I can’t wait to see where the pieces move in the next books. Vampires, Lycans, human slavery, it’s all so darkly alluring.
At first sight, you’ll probably think, ugh, not another captive book. THIS IS NOT THAT SAME STORY! Trust me, it’s so much more. Darius will have you weak in the knees, off balanced, a bit terrified in all the right ways. For me anyway. I didn’t know if I wanted to run to him or for the hills.
“This woman would belong to me by the end of the night. To fuck. To eat. To kill. Whatever I wanted.”
As the story, plot unravels… You’ll question every move, motive, play. Wondering if you’ll the answers. I loved loved loved this one. Guys, you have to read this edgy sucker.
A suspenseful, unpredictable game of vampire politics!
This has quickly become my favorite genre of reading material. However I’ve found that writing style and story development often leave something to be desired. That was certainly not the case here. Truly masterfully written. I couldn’t put it down! Very excited to continue with the series and dying to see where it goes.
First book by Lexi C. Foss and I loved it! There is something about a possessive Vampire and his desire and sexual allure that you love and want. I was pulled into this book that I was craving more of Darius. I loved that he found his second half of his soul in Juliet and that she became so open and possessive of him. Great story. I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.
Oh, Goddess! I cannot believe my luck in finding this book!
This series is an absolute gold!
Vampires, lycans and humans.
Together in a world where there were factions and hierarchies and us humans were enalaved by these two powerful creatures.
This isn’t your Twilight romance but think about Divergent. The Hunger Games.
The games of power and ownership. Secret alliances. Retribution. Revolution.
I am looking forward to the next of this series. It screams more adventure as the plot moves in a very interesting ang intriguing direction. The author definitely did not disappoint. No stagnant plot, no under developed characters. No boring moments to skim. From page one up to the last, I was hooked!
I’m really looking forward for more!
This is a great book for all the vampire lovers like me! This is the first of an awesome looking series! Read it, I think you’ll love it !
Great character development and storytelling. Loved this fresh take on vampires and humans.
I really enjoyed this take on what if humans were the bottom of the totem pole and vampires and werewolves were in charge. It would really be awful to be human in this world! I really liked how well this story was written as it kept me on my toes. This is a series I will be following as it progresses.
Holy hotness, y’all. I don’t know how this book doesn’t have thousands of reviews yet. It’s seriously smokin’. I love the complicated dynamic between Darius and Juliet. Also, admittedly, I’m a sucker for an a$$hole hero. I was frustrated with Darius at the beginning, but liked him more and more as the book progressed. I also wanted to slap Juliet a couple of times, but that was my own sense of feminism (humanism?) coming out. This is a pretend world where humans are nothing more than chattel. Of course she would be conditioned to be a docile little morsel. Once I got over myself (it took, like, 20 seconds max), I really got into it and was pleased when Juliet started to break out of her mental prison. Oh, and all the sexy times with Darius, even with a possible audience? Seriously business, peeps. I dug it. The book has a dark edge to it, but it retains the eternal hope of a happy ending for all the “good” characters. Sorry, not going to spoil anything. If you like dark and sexy, this is a great choice.
