Riley takes instant love and makes it seem like the characters have known each other forever. Chasin sees Genevieve fall off a dock and from there their love grows. Chasin has no idea who Genevieve is and that makes her fall even more. Throughout the story we learn about each character’s background and what has shaped them into who they have become today. There is just the right mix of suspense and love to keep the story entertain and you turning the pages. While this book is part of a series, it can be read alone and Evie and Chasin get their happy ending.

Riley Edwards writes romance, yes, and she does it well. Her novels of alpha heroes and how they protect is her trademark style, and she does it very well. Chasin’s Surrender, however, is her most romantic. I mean, it is truly swoon-worthy. I was overwhelmingly surprised and loving the poetic loveliness of this addition to the Gemini Group series.
Chasin meets Evie when she falls into the river, and it is love at first sight. Both parties are swept away by the immediate connection, and it is a bright beginning. Chasin reacts and hurts Evie, and Evie immediately shuts down. And here our story really begins.
One portion of the story is the transition of Genevieve from who she was when she meets Chasin to who she is at the end. The reader traces this path by her names that Chasin calls her as they become a couple. She initially introduces herself as Genevieve (her full name), Chasin inadvertently calls Vivi during their weekend together not realizing it is her stage name. And as we learn, Genevieve believes there are two faces of her: the hurt, insecure, and unloved Genevieve and the vivacious, superstar Vivi. But Chasin shows her that she can be all that he knows is in her when he calls her Evie.
Both of Chasin and Evie come from dysfunctional and addicted parents, which genuinely shows how children are wounded and carry the lousy behavior of parents into adulthood. Neither can do it on their own, but together they can be the other’s hero. Their love for each other came out very pure and sweet. When the text said, “He’d wash her clean, wrap himself around her dreams, but they wouldn’t be about loneliness. He was spellbound. Riveted, awestruck, and fully in love, ” as he was listening to her sing, the beauty of that visual brought tears to my eyes. Watching these two fall in love and learn to trust was beauty.
You need to read this series. Each story in this series is more heart-felt than the previous one. Riley’s fans have come to care about this group of characters as much as the other series.
*Spoiler Alert*
Chasin saved Genevieve after she fell of the dock. She invited him in to thank him. They did not leave on good terms Chasin thought she was with him and had a boyfriend.
Chasin didn’t know she was a big country music star; until she showed up at the
Gemini Group about someone stalking her.
This was a page turner and could not put down the book: I would recommend this book.

Both Chasin and Genevieve have issues from their past. Their parents are nightmares. You don’t get to meet Genevieve’s parents, but when you get a to meet Chasin’s, you really want to give them a peace of your mind…. Can’t stand them!
Working though both of their insecurities due to their pasts, they almost lose their chance. But a whole lot of determination and forgiveness goes a long way and showing your vulnerabilities can go a long way…
Laughed so hard at a few places in the book! That girl early in the morning, without coffee is a ball. Bobby her BFF is also one great friend to have. The two together reminds me of someone I used to know. Lots of sneak peaks into future books in this book, if you can catch on. Loved reading it!!! Riley Edwards you rock! Keep writing great books.

HOLY SMOKES I am in awe and adore this author and her story telling, bringing to life heroes and heroines that I can’t help but fall in love with each and every time. And just when I think that there is no way this author can top the last story….I am once again proven wrong.
Chasin and Genevieve had a weekend filled with laughter and steam, until Chasin jumps to conclusions and storms out because of a misunderstanding. He’s affected by what happened more so than with any other woman and weeks later, he is still thinking of her. Genevieve aka Viv let her guard down for two days, she was herself, laughing and unguarded, removing her mask around Chasin and not the super country singer everyone knows her as, since Chasin had no idea who she was and she liked that…she was just Genevieve not Viv. She escaped to the small town to get away from her stalker and now the stalker knows where she is so her best friend, Bobby, who is also her personal assistant, seek help from the Gemini group and the two are face to face once again. This time Viv will not let Chasin hurt her again and keeps her distance. But Chasin is not giving up, he will do anything in his power to break down the high walls she has built and bring back the woman he got to know…the carefree, laughing and unguarded woman he fell in love with over the weekend while trying to catch the stalker who has become more unhinged in their pursuit of Viv.
The problem with writing a review for any of this author’s books, it’s hard, because nothing I could write would due it justice and it would be pages long and still there would be more I would want to say and 5 stars is not enough stars for a rating….but I will do my best.
Holy smokes what an amazing amazing amazing read that had me glued to the pages from page one. The story had it all, heartache, heartbreak, suspense, steam…oh boy…the steam…need a cold shower steamy…and the characters I couldn’t get enough of. I laughed, had misty eyes, needed a cool down, swooned, sighed, bit my nails, was surprised, lost sleep because once I started I couldn’t stop because I didn’t want to put it down and fell in love all over again with the Gemini men and their women along with Chasin and Genevieve as well as Bobby and I am hoping for her own story in the future.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Every single time I start a book by this author, I pretty much read it in one sitting and I think this books is her absolute best…..until I read her next book. Every single book is better than the last and that is saying a lot. She knows precisely how to write the perfect strong female and alpha hot as heck sexy male. There was a phrase in the book that got me, Chasin had said he found beauty. What an awesome sentence. This was an absolute fantastic book that I highly recommend. Start with the first book and I guarantee that you will be hooked and will want to read everything she writes.
Chasin’s Surrender is such a sweet story. It starts off unlike any of the other books. Right away Riley Edwards provides passion, a plot twist all within the first chapters and this is the perfect gateway for all the suspense that follows.
Chasin and Genevieve’s story had me in tears. I was either laughing from all the wise cracks between the casts. Then I was crying from all the heartwarming moments.
Chasin I think he’s probably the funniest of the Gemini men. You can’t help but love him.
Genevieve is my girl, she’s bold, fresh and crazy. She’s easy to connect with. Together these two are entertaining and I devoured their story.
I have a confession to make I really don´t like stories with famous people…you know, super star, super ego…not my thing. When I read the synopsis of Chasin´s Surrender I was So disappointed…I mean, he is a great guy, met him in the previous books, and he deserved someone really special, not a singer star….
Well, let me tell you….I was SO wrong! First of all, she is a star, but so down to earth, so human, so woman……with dreams, insecurities, traumas, fears…and let me tell you: Genevieve is simply perfect for him!!!
Again, another great book from Riley!!!
Loved being wrong!
Riley Edwards has done it again with this latest addition to the Gemini Group series. Chasin’s Surrender is quite an emotional read, filled with angst and plenty of sexual heat. In this book Chasin learned the consequences of jumping to conclusion, redeeming oneself and being the best hero to Genevieve (Evie). For Evie, it is about self discovery of one’s worth, healing broken friendship and being brave enough to give Chasin a second chance. I end the book with a satisfactory sigh and I eagerly awaits for the next book in this series.
Thank you once again Riley Edwards for continuing to gift your readers with your awesomeness!
Both Chasin and Genevieve have issues from their past, and those issues come close to derailing them right at the start. This book is Riley Edwards at her best, with strong yet vulnerable characters, outstanding story and suspense, serious heat, and the added bonus of pop-ins from other characters from the series. I think Chasin became my favorite Edwards character, and his strength in overcoming his past and the ongoing emotional abuse from his parents truly makes him a stand-out here, but Genevieve is not far behind him on this, and the betrayals she faces in this story should have cowed her – but they don’t. This is, incidentally, not a book to open and dip into, leave and return to – this is a start and read to the last page and push frantically in the hopes of more! I want the Gemini Group there if I am ever in danger!

HOLY MOLEY! Chasin is…….there are no words. This book takes you on one heck of an emotional rollercoaster and then ot twists and turns and you dont know which way is up and which is down. Evie has some deep rooted scars but so does Chasin and they both come close to letting them ruin their love for each other. Just when they are close to getting it all and burying those issues…… a stalker makes his move. Chasin is dead set on stopping this man in his tracks and making Evie’s life everything she has ever wanted with the exception of him now being apart of that.
My heart ached while reading this book. So many stumbles along the way only to return home where they belonged. Genevieve and Chasin surrendered to each other and oh what a beautiful ride. Every story involves the team and leaves you wanting more of everyone’s story. Can’t wait for the next one.
Another fantastic, nail biting, heart racing, all of the feels romance between Chasin (he who jumped to a conclusion and made an a$$ of himself) and Genevieve (she who has been let down too many times) come together with an explosive chemistry, a crazy stalker bound and determined that only he will have her…can Chasin regain her trust and keep her safe? Loved it!. I volunteered an honest review for this book
So listen. Look. I am a READER, right? I mean, I read all the time, everywhere, every day, a book a week. But most of the time the book I’m reading is a dull throb beneath my fingers, a soft hum behind my eyes, a lovely way to spend a bit of time in between things as I meander through my life. You know? It’s something I adore, but softly, passively, and often forgetfully—very nice while it’s happening, but flitting away quickly after I’m on to the next.
And then sometimes there is a book that is more like a red hot fucking coal, a thrum nearly audible whenever I’m close to it, a magnetic pull that stops me doing anything else and zings me back so strongly that I just want to bury myself in its tinnitus at all times—five minutes in line a the bank, two minutes in the elevator, thirty seconds while my coffee date checks her email—gorging myself with sentences and paragraphs until the whole world recedes and shrivels into flat black-and-white nothing.
This, this, this is one of those books. If you love to read and if you love to care about the characters you read about and if you love to eat words like they’re ice cream and if you love to have your heart broken and mended on the same page, this book is for you.
Both Chasin and Genevieve have experienced betrayal, this is their story of finding a little light in the dark and moving on. Putting past mistakes behind them and helping each other to deal with past events. It’s raw, it’s beautiful and you’re going to want to spend some time visiting with them. This book gives you the opportunity as a reader to view betrayal and heartbreak from various viewpoints and I think it’s so important to give you an understanding of how it can change a person without them really knowing it or why. It’s hard for both the person and the people they are closest to. I laughed, I cried, and I swooned in equal measure. This book also includes a little intrigue and I wasn’t surprised by the eventual outcome, for me, it could only have been one person.
There’s just so much I can say about Riley Edwards and her writing. She’s just…she’s amazing, I will literally read anything she writes. She just nails it every freaking time. And I’m so glad for the day that she was recommended to me, and this is what I love about this book community, a person can rave about a book and it can be someone you’ve never read before, maybe, never even heard of, you pick up that book and it’s like diving down a rabbit hole. You just become so fascinated with a person’s writing and they become a gem to you. That’s what Riley is, she’s a gem. She’s a gem in that she writes books that I can devour, that I will stay up till I’m done even if that’s 2.30 am in the morning! She’s an author that when the book lands on my Kindle at 4.30 am I’ll open it and start it because it can’t just sit there, I need all the words!! She makes you fall in love with these characters so much that you cannot bear to be apart from them. It’s astounding, and to have talent that can do that – it amazes me. Riley Edwards can write anything and I’ll read it…because of the way she writes no matter what the subject, it’s more than entertainment for entertainment’s sake. I love that, and basically, I love her and I’m going to move into her house and stalk her for the rest of our days.
I just finished reading this book and it was awesome from the beginning to the end! I loved the characters and the dynamic between them is captivating. Chasin and Evie are each damaged from their pasts, so they have to work hard to fight their own demons.
This whole series is amazing, but they can be read as standalone. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Have I mentioned how much I love the Gemini Group? No? Well let me correct this egregious error…I freaking LOVE this group of Alpha’s. Chasin and Genevieve both have crappy parents which led to crappy childhoods. As adults, they’ve let that interfere with their personal relationships. They meet…they fall..and then childhood insecurities break them apart. Threats are made and with Genevieve’s safety at stake, Chasin realizes that he let his “perfect” slip through his fingers. Now he will stop at nothing to get her back and keep her safe.
Once again, Riley amazes me with her ingenious story telling and sucks me in from the start. I seriously cannot wait for Holden’s story!!
Genevieve is a country singer and has a stalker. She is at her uncle’s hiding out. While on the dock, she falls in. Chasin is in his kayak when he hears a scream. He finds a woman in the water and goes over to help her. They spend the weekend together and it’s amazing. Then he finds out she is a cheater and he despises cheats. He tells her that and leaves. He is in for a surprise when he meets who he thought she was with.
Chasin works with Gemini Group. They have been hired to protect a country singer. He is shocked when he finds out who he is to protect.
While Chasin and Genevieve are building their relationship, her stalker is escalating. Will they find the stalker in time? Will Genevieve continue her career?
Be Brave.
Genevieve and Chasin meet totally by chance, it’s an explosive weekend and then it all falls to pieces in a matter of seconds. There are many different sides to Genevieve and she only shows what she wants to the outside world, not many people get that, but Chasin does. The banter with all the Gemini Group is hilarious, especially with Bobby involved.”You wanna stop looking at Jameson and Jonny like you’re deciding which one your’re gonna eat first so I can introduce you?” “As fine as you are, with your crazy-cool tatts and all that black hair, I’m sure your woman totally digs you, you can rest easy she won’t need to pull out her shotgun”.
Both Chasin and Evie have a lot of walls to tear down, but my money was on Chasin all the way. He knows she’s “the one”, but late in the book he only really realizes how much of a star she really is and his courage stumbles a bit. There is quite the pull between the two and she tries to take pieces back that she’s given him but he won’t let her. “Once you give them, they’re mine.”
Totally a page turner and the suspense is intense when it needs to be. The ending is poetic and I love what happens to the farm. Loads of emotion, as you would normally find in Ms. Edwards books, totally swoonworthy. Looking forward to more bonfires. Definitely a recommendation from me.
I received this advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is Chasin and Evie’s story both have major problems with their past and families. Evie hides behind her music and treats her like a normal person until they have a fight and he leaves. Later he finds out who she is when the Gemini group is hired to protect her from a stalker. The characters are great the way they interact with each other. This book has them dealing with their pasts. It has romance, suspense, a stalker and way to many suspects! Thank you Riley for another great addition to the Gemini Series!
Riley Edwards’ latest book in the Gemini Group series, Chasin’s Surrender, is stellar. Riley shines a light on emotional and psychological abuse of children by parents and the toll it takes and how it shapes their adult lives. I love that all the engaging characters from previous books are woven into each story giving a sense of familiarity that only enhance the reading experience. I’m hooked!
Chasin Murray is sexy, blunt, bold and he had no idea who Vivi Rush was when he rescued after she fell into the river. The two of them spent a hot steamy weekend together until it all went FUBAR. Vivi Rush may be a country music superstar who is vibrant, talented and owns the stage when she’s on it but nobody sees the real Genevieve Ellison. She’s riddled with insecurities, mistrust, and low self esteem because of the way she’s been treated most of her life. While life seems to be dumping itself on both of them on all sides, from crazed stakers to lying managers to manipulative parents and death threats, Chasin refuses to let Genevieve push him away or erect walls. He knows what she needs. For the first time ever someone finally sees her, gets her and it’s Chasin.
