Gemini Group is a world I simply cannot get enough of!
Both Chasin and Genevieve have carried emotional baggage from their childhoods that prevent their happiness. When she splashes into his life, they get a taste of each other and a life that had seemed out of reach. But reality raises it’s ugly head and threatens a relationship in more ways than one. With the help of his Gemini family, Chasin is determined to make his dream with “Evie” come true.
Like a heart surgeon, Riley Edwards reaches in to fill yours up with emotions and characters that will keep the beat going long after you have turned the last page. As with every other book in the Gemini Group Series, Chasin’s Surrender belongs on the “To Be Read Again” shelf.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Riley Edwards has hit another one out of the park. Chasin and Evie are so awesome together. I really enjoy all the team dynamics and how they truly have become a family, not related by blood, but an even tighter unit.
Chasin and Evie have so many trust issues and old buried hurts to work through. There’s mistaken identity and jumping to conclusions, which make the trust issues even worse and more deeply entrenched. It is amazing and sad how the actions of parents (emotional and psychological abuse) can have long lasting lifetime impacts on their children. It’s even more sad when the parents don’t even care or try to change. Yet, now Evie and Chasin know exactly how they don’t want to act and treat people.
They have an amazing time together at the beginning and then it ends suddenly but neither of them really moves on. Then they are thrown together again due to circumstances beyond their control. Evie’s best friend is by her side For support but actually comes to support and like Chasin. She wants what’s best for her friend and Chasin is. Chasin, Evie, and all their friends must work together to solve the puzzle of who wants to hurt Evie. I love how the Gemini group jump in to help again. There’s mystery, lots of funny moments, serious talks, and hot steamy romance.
From the very first sentence, I fell into the world Riley Edwards created in “Chasin’s Surrender” and never wanted to leave. Characters to love, characters to hate, a satisfying ending, and a lesson we all need repeated: the importance of family.
Chasin first meets Genevieve at the end of Alec’s Dream and we only get a glimpse of what is to come. This book picks up with what happened right afterwards.
Genevieve is just a woman who is looking for love and family. Her stage name is Vivi and she is one of country music’s hottest acts who also happens to have a stalker who is progressively getting braver. The Gemini Group is hired to look into the stalker while Genevieve is hiding out. After her weekend with Chasin and a huge misunderstanding, these two are back in each other’s presence.
As the guys look into every threat and Genevieve becomes closer with the guys and their women, she finds what she is looking for when it comes to her making her own family. She finds love with Chasin but in the end will the stalker take it all away or will Chasin come out on top.
I love the music that is the theme throughout this book and how with every Riley Edwards book, there is a fresh storyline and just enough to keep you hooked and wanting to read without putting the book down.
Riley Edwards has become my favorite author to read. I look forward to all of the books she puts out and I am never disappointed. She has this amazing ability to make it difficult to choose a favorite series, let alone a favorite couple. I do have a favorite, but 2nd place changes with each book I read or re-read. With that said, Chasin’s Surrender is amazing. Chasin and Evie are my new 2nd place couple in Riley’s world! Riley gives a front row seat to the story being played out. And honestly, it FEELS like you are there actually watching it as opposed to reading the pages.
Like with all her books, I was lost in the world of Gemini Group (again), this time with the story of Chasin and Evie. They had an amazing weekend together until a misunderstanding pulls them apart. It isn’t long before they meet again, this time for Genevieve’s protection. As they learn to re-trust again and break down barriers that were put up because of past betrayals. Chasin won’t let Evie hide within herself and pull back, he demands she be the woman she was meant to be. And when she finally gives into it, you really feel that true love can get you through anything. Once they have both given in, they support each other in ways that they always needed but never had that person who was the one to do it.
The series keeps getting better! I have loved all of the Gemini Group Books but this one is my favorite. It grabs you from the first pages and takes you on a roller coaster of feelings and doesn’t let you go until the very end! I love all the positive changes in the main characters and as always I love catching up with the rest of the group. Only negative is we have to wait so long for the next book!Start this series now!
Genevieve life is in turmoil, so she escapes to her uncles house. Then she finds out things are more serious than she was told. Gemini group is called in to protect her and find her stalker. Will they be able to before it’s too late. Another great read from Riley Edwards!
Wow. Now this was a book so worth reading. I was excited when I got my book and I really wasn’t disappointed at all. Chasin save a young woman after she falls off a dock and into the lake as he is paddling past in his canoe. A weekend is all it takes until his past catches up with him and he accuses her of something she didn’t do. Genevieve is a country singer and goes by Vivi Rush. She is excited that Chasin doesn’t know who she is and maybe she can have her dream she has always wanted. A stalker who is escalating and a whole slew of suspects as the Gemini team race to find out who is behind it all. An awesome read from the start. The chemistry between them was u deniable, although I did feel for them as they tried to cope with their pasts and how they were going to navigate real life. So much action and wondering who was doing the bad stuff. I now can’t wait for Holden’s book.
Talk about explosive right from the get go and that was just from one weekend of meeting. Boy, I needed some ice water. Chasin and Genevieve hit it hard and fast with falling in love like all the other couples. Page turner from start to finish and hated putting down as I was getting ready to move, priorities.

I love Riley Edwards books. They are well written and edited. Easy to read full of romance and suspense. Each book is a stand alone but has a core group of characters that you get to continue to follow which I enjoy. This book did not disappoint with a excellent plot. It did seem to have more Sex scenes than past books. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good suspense romance.

Another phenomenal book by Riley!!! Chasin and Evie are amazing. Both have overcome such disappointment and heartbreak and finally found their happiness in each other. My favorite passage from the book is something that I think a lot of us can relate to. True happiness is not easy to find and requires diligence and honesty and trust. So darned happy that Chasin and Evie got their HEA!!
“… Chasin, I’m happy. I’ve never been happy. I’ve been proud. I’ve been content. I’ve achieved things I wanted. But never have I found true happiness….Not until you gave it to me. I’m never letting you go…”.

Yep, Riley Edwards has done it again. Another great book that if you’re a fan of military/security, protective alpha and a little suspense, you’ll have to read this series and her books.
Genevieve and Chasin met when she fell of a dock and he was kayaking. They hit it off and it was a magical weekend for both of them.
But because of a misunderstanding they went apart. And then because of a stalker they are back together and they are thrown together.
Both main characters have a troubled childhood and trust issues and that’s the main reason of everything.
Love this story. The main plot is their relationship and how they are trying to fix their issues.
Love the suspense and I was on the edge of my seat as always in Riley’s books
Now….about the secondary characters and future books..
Bobby was my favorite in this series. She was awesome and can’t wait to read her book in the future (hope very soon).
Holden’s I think is next and I think it’s going to grip our hearts. I really..reallyyyyy can’t wait.
My Review: STARS!
Riley Edwards has become one of my favorite authors. The words she writes, the feelings she puts into her books and the feelings they evoke while reading, the amazing characters with quick wit, steely determination, charming personalities, personal demons to overcome, complicated relationships, and relatable upbringings. We also get to experience the military aspect getting to know the team, their brotherhood – their tightly woven unit not born of blood but founded and grown from blood, sweat, tears, and missions, along with their sense of honor, duty, and integrity and their grit and protective nature, and finally their love and passion. They definitely fight hard and love harder. Edwards pulls all these aspects and more into her stories and brings them to life to give us characters we can relate to and care about and a completely engrossing storyline you can see unfolding before your eyes.
Chasin’s Surrender is absolutely no different. It is fabulous from beginning to end and in my opinion the most heartfelt and romantic out of the bunch. There are so many sweet, touching moments with Chasin and Evie as well as heart-stopping conversations and phrases – “I see you”, and moments of complete connection and overwhelming emotions you cannot ignore, as well as the powerful words and emotions in Evie’s songs. Just utterly fantastic!
Chasin and Evie both come from troubled pasts with awful parents and upbringings that have left deep scars concerning love, commitment, and relationships. The damage has caused Evie to retreat deep into herself and put up walls and creating two different personas, one she showcases in her professional life as the sassy, vibrant, take charge country music star Vivi Rush and the other, her true self, which reserves for only those closest to her. Sadly for her, no one really sees her true self except her best friend Bobbie before Chasin comes along to completely rip down her protective walls. Everyone only sees what they want from her and what she can do for them.
Due to Chasin’s damaged past, he is resolute in attitude and vision on the opposite sex and relationships. No lies, no cheating. Period! After a passionate weekend with Evie, he falls hard – he’s halfway to love already and thinks he found his perfect match. But an overheard conversation where he jumps to conclusions and slings harsh accusations has him walking out and leaves her shattered. How come something that started so innocently and beautiful turn so horribly wrong? Both trying to move on they are more than shocked when Evie turns out to be Gemini’s next client and Chasin’s assignment. When he learns how badly he messed up he is all on board, determined to do whatever it takes to break through her walls and recreate what they had while searching for her stalker. As they work to repair their relationship Evie’s stalker makes a scary bold move that can have deadly consequences for them if they cannot find him in time.
I loved everything about this story – the emotional pulls, suspense, danger, excitement, funny moments, drama, and romance (with a side of extra steamy!). There are also several laugh out loud moments and just as many tears. All the Gemini team jumps in to help out, including their women and the interaction between them all is great. You can definitely feel the family connections shared between them all. I also really loved Bobby and I hope that she will find her own happiness in a future installment with one of these great guys.
*I received an arc from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review. I have also purchased a copy of this book for my own.
Holy crap! I love the men of Gemini Group! This is Chasin and Genevieve’s story. One small accident, a hero in the right place at the right time, a weekend spent in sexual heaven, all to be blown apart by a misunderstanding. That is how this story starts, but it sure isn’t how it is going to end. Chasin has never known true unconditional love. His parents gave him a completely distorted view of life. Genevieve’s story is similar. No one ever loved her enough to put her first. Yet both made something of themselves. Both were successful in their own right, but both were definitely hollow inside. Can a chance meeting and a deadly stalker make two truly broken people dig deep enough inside themselves to realize what life could be if they learned to trust? If they put themselves first and truly learned to love? This story is full of so many different emotions. It’s hawt as hell and full of suspense!! Loved it! Amazing book!!!
Wow, I’m blown away each time I read a story by Riley Edwards. Chasin’s Surrender is a heartwrenching and heartwarming book at the same time. Be ready to laugh or cry. Emotions are drawn out of the reader through the awesome writer’s style. The plot is filled with honesty, lies, protection, betrayal, love, and hate. Chasin and Genevieve are perfect for each other with all their flaws. Their chemistry is off the charts. All the wonderful characters from Gemini Group are present. All the new characters are well-developed and believable. I love this book and highly recommend it along with the series.

Once again Riley did a great job. Love this series have read it several times. Really enjoyed reading this story, flows through I couldn’t put it down, I did not want it to end either. I Love all her books, gets you hooked and you don’t want to stop reading until the end, but you also enjoy re-reading them too!
What an amazing story! Chasin and Evie both have baggage from their childhood that they’ve carried into adulthood that has prevented them from having relationships. When they meet the first time, the connection is instant. Unfortunately, there is a huge misunderstanding that tears them apart. Evie is actually Vivi Rush, the hottest country music star, which Chasin had no clue about, and when she comes to Gemini Group for help with a stalker, she and Chasin come face to face again. From that moment on you have a beautiful story! Watching as they navigate their feelings and the roadblocks they create from their past issues while also trying to find her stalker and keep her safe make for an amazing story! I love seeing all the other guys in Gemini Group (and their women). This is still one of my favorite series! It just keeps getting better!
I think the Gemini series is my favorite from RileyEdwards, and I’ve read them all. Both Chasin and Evie have parents that leave a lot to he desired, and both have emotional struggles as a result. Chasin won’t put up with cheating and Evie hides behind her country star persona, Vivi. A chance meeting has the couple head over heels for one another, but an epic screw up forces Chasin to lose her. So, what did I love about them? The second Chasin realized his mistake he set out to right it and has no qualms about protecting Evie from her stalker. Evie is such a down to earth woman behind all the music and glam. The banter between the Gemini guys is hilarious and Evie’s friend Bobby fits into the mix perfectly. The ending was unexpected and wrapped up the story with the kind of suspense I look forward to in Riley’s books.
This is book 5 in the Gemini Group series and can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the previous books first as all of those characters are seen in this book as well. In this one we get Chasin Murray and Genevieve Ellison’s story. Chasin can’t stand cheaters, to the point he will cut you out even if he just thinks you are thinking about cheating. After spending a weekend with Genevieve, he thinks he has found his one. Until he misunderstands what he hears and cuts her off in a way that cuts to the core of her. Genevieve also thought she had found the one, and opened up more than she has to anyone. Only to be hurt in a way that she wasn’t expecting. But she also has a stalker, and she has to have someone find out who it is and stop them before it’s too late. She didn’t expect Chasin to be the one who will be protecting her. Now he has to keep her safe, while trying to explain himself to her.
I absolutely loved this book!! Now I didn’t think that anything could top Jamison’s book for me, it was my all-time favorite in this series but this book just blew it out of the water for me. These two have put through things and experienced things that have obviously left scars. They learned how to protect themselves in the only way they knew how, and reading about how they make a conscious effort to explain and move past the things that have been done to them. It’s not only heartbreaking but reaffirming that the right person can mend the things that are broken and help you to become not only whole but to know your own worth. There is action, suspense, hotness, but mostly there is love between two people who absolutely needed it! I loved every second of it! But please, please tell me that Bobby will get a story because let me just tell you-I loved her in this book!!!!
This second chance romance is a one stop read, meaning you will NOT want to put it down. A great book with plenty of action and romance. A definite settle in and make sure you have nothing else to do before you start this book read.
