I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I could not put it down until I read the last page.

Love isn’t ever the magical cure-all.
We simple humans not only have our own issues. We carry with us the burdens and scars life has dealt us. Building a lasting relationship requires accepting each other’s. Helping when we can and hurting when we can’t. Growing through the strained points together.
Secrets are hard to hide in a small town
—>>> Rick has it bad for Linnea but clearly wants more. The downside is that he has secrets he would rather not tell her, a part of his life he would rather keep hidden. Not only is his world about to be rocked, but people close to the both of them are involved in their own drama as well. After all, it is a small town, and everybody knows everything about everyone else. Smooth-flowing story about people who really pop realistically on the pages with their emotions and their drama.
This was a great read with amazingly well developed and engaging characters and the storyline flowed smoothly with each word written.

Another great book in the series. If you want to read a story with all the feels, read one of this author’s books!
Linnea is a curvy shy gal running her brother’s brewery taproom and in love with Rick who works construction on the small houses and volunteers for the fire department. Rick loves Linnea but has a ton of emotional baggage about his family situation, especially his addicted sister. He also pulls back emotionally when he is overwhelmed. He finds out his sister had a baby and brings them to live with him. His sister takes off and he pushed Linnea away because he doesn’t feel he can ask her to take on caring for the baby. After she almost died in a car crash, he finally gets his act together and they get back together and get their HEA.

Small town hook ups.
Linnea “Linn” works at a brewpub.
She’s reserved.
Rick overly enjoys hook ups and he’s looking at Linn.
His family is filled with causal hookups and way too much drama.

Rick is usually a one and done kinda guy, then he meets Linnea. Can a relationship between them work when he has huge secrets and he’s not so sure her normally patient personality will stay that way with him?
I really liked Chasing Trouble for one main reason – it felt realistic. It’s not a story about a billionaire and his virgin, or an alpha jerk with his inexperienced partner, or a rockstar with a woman who brings him to his knees. Not that I don’t like all those tropes, because I do (A LOT), but it’s really nice to read a more grounded in reality love story once in awhile. And Chasing Trouble is definitely that. Rick and Linnea are two people who fall in love, but who have baggage. Who can honestly say that isn’t something we’ve all seen, probably all gone through?

Rick is so misguided in this one thinking that Linnea would not be able to accept how his life is now. So he turns away from his possible life with Linnea. It is a bit sad. There is a lot of drama in this one and not till a horrible event does fate have Linnea and Rick together. Will they make it work well you need to read the story to find out. I enjoyed the book and I liked the characters. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it
This is book three in the In Asheood series. I feel like each book is a standalone story but you get a better, bigger picture by reading each book. This book is about Linnea and Rick. Linnea has come to town to help her brother with his brewery taproom. She seems like a sweet and patience of a saint kinda girl. Rick is a one-night stand no strings guy. In this book we get to learn more about Rick and why that is. In what appears to be his wild uncommitted ways with the ladies, is a result of his commitment to his handful of a family and that is always impacting his personal life.
Does Rick blow it and.lose it all with Linnea by shutting down emotionally? Can Linnea be her patient self one more time and give Rick a chance? This is a really enjoyable read to find out what is in store for these characters. We all know that the road to HEA is never straight or smooth.
