I screwed up and I can’t blame anyone but myself. I have a kid who I’ve only seen through pictures. My girlfriend left me and decided to raise our daughter with another man.
That all changes when I decide to get a tattoo with my buddies on a drunken night. I have one objective, get some ink to distract me from my problems. Charleigh, the sassy receptionist, takes me by surprise. She acts like … me by surprise. She acts like she hates me, but I know there’s something between us.
I need to put my life back together. I have to in order to be the father I need to be for my baby girl. The only problem…I’m falling for Charleigh, but she doesn’t know everything about me.

Jake finally gets it. I don’t mean gets his due after all that has happened that may be the consensus, but I don’t agree with that. Standing up to his parents and doing what he knows needs to be done is and having the strength of character to in a nutshell “man up” is what he needs. I love the angst the author poured into this and the clear heads for guidance. Then family net too makes this an awesome read with an epilogue that breathes peace, what all the important parties needed and deserved. It’s a great read with all that you need in this emotional and soothing. I love this author’s style and all that’s been needed from her characters to keep you reading and become invested in their happy endings after they took a chance at more.
It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve read several books written by Katrina Marie; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the third book in the Taking Chances Series; she has done a fantastic job at writing an interesting book. The story and the characters are well written. I love the chemistry between Charleigh & Jake.

This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Jack and Charleigh’s story. I was not a fan of Jake’s in the 1st book, but he did redeem himself along the way. This story is about Jake’s anger and relationship with his parents, and we get a better understanding of how he acted the way he did. Charleigh is an aspiring tattoo artist in her uncle’s shop and that is where she meets Jake, and is perfect for him in every way. This is another beautifully written story, which had me enthralled throughout.
This story was so adorable!! I have grown to love this series so much, it’s becoming one of my all time favorites. I’ve become good friends with Katrina, so I was super excited to read her work. I didn’t expect her work, as a first time writer, to be so amazing! Each word, sentence, paragraph, has me addicted and hanging on the edge for the next.
Jake and Charleigh are such an unpredictable match that it just makes things so much sweeter. I love how they found each other, the prank, the end and all of the in-betweens. This couple is super special, and I love that we got to see even more of Tonya and Reaf. The relationships in this book, all of them, are just so special and really grow. Although this book was a little on the short side, it had such a big impact! I really can’t wait to see what comes next!
I liked the plot of the story. Most of the time I want the baby daddy and mamma together but this one made we want them to succeed without them being together. Loved the supporting characters too. I was a little off put by the spelling errors though. Once those are fixed, it will be better.
This was a great follow up on Jake from Welcome to your life. I was wondering how his story would turn out and boy did i enjoy this book. It was short and super cute! I loved Charleigh and Jake together. I was great seeing other characters from Welcome to your life. Can’t wait for more books!!!

Charleigh and Jake meet at the tattoo parlor and she is striving to be the best in her uncles shop. Jake is going through so much, with the ex and his daughter, dealing with his parents, and trying to be a better man. The characters and storyline were terrific, with plenty of twists and intense feelings. The story had me hooked from the start. Great situations and the ending was perfect. Can not wait for more from this author.

Growing pains can be rough….

Jake was a young man with plenty of doubts and a really huge chip on his shoulders and a family that had some high faluten ideas of how appearances seemed to matter the most and of course there also was their ridiculous expectations that kept him on uneven ground.
However Jake was determined to learn from his own miserable mistakes while trying not to make new one’s.
And oh yeah he definitely wants to be the kind of man that a girl like Charleigh can depend on.
But yep could have’s and should have’s don’t mean much when a big misunderstanding and lack of a few simple words have poor Jake wondering if he was done for good?
Or could he needed to find some way to fix his new mistakes before his girl decides he’s not worth the risk

Redemption for Jake.
I seriously love the writing that you get from this Author.
I mean she has got to be talented to get Jake some redeeming factors after everything he’s done in past books to Tonya, and deciding he needed time when his daughter was we’ll preparing for this life. And just the fact that he’s so angry at a situation he created for his self. Though he seems to do that a lot.
Ugh, don’t you hate when you go into a book hating a character and then slowly start to fall for them? Oh gosh!
Charleigh, she is just well I’m not sure how to explain her or the feelings I get from her. She is someone you’d want to be friends with, to be close with.
