4 star Review Chasing His Honey Badger (Big Bad Bunnies #5) by Golden Angel
Audio Review:
I am familiar with author Golden Angel although narrator Amber Bray is new to me. I didn’t realize when I signed up to review Chasing His Honey Badger that this was the fifth book in the series. I think it would in hindsight have been beneficial if I had read or listened to the previous books in the series before diving in as there were times that I felt a little lost as the is an arc that goes across the series.
Paranormal is not a genre I often read or listened to, however I did enjoy Chasing His Honey Badger. However having said that, I did find this an enjoyable listen, with good narration and entertaining.
If Brice can convince Rana that they are fated to be mates, things would be fine, but she is determined not to be hurt again. This was a steamy, at times funny story that was sweet, romantic and suspenseful as danger reared it’s head.
Bunnies, badgers, and Monty Python abound… This is a series that reading the blurb you might decide to give it a pass. After all, how can bunnies be an exciting read. Well all I can say is you are missing out on a masterpiece of fun, action, sizzle, and just sensational writing. And as with a certain brand of potato chip, you won’t be able to stop at reading just one or even reading just once. This is my go to series when I want to laugh, see how many irreverent references I can find, and most of all lose myself in a well written story that comes to life and makes you want to meet a mutant bunny or two. Brice and Rana hit all the right buttons and I’m going to start at the beginning again to feed my addiction for all things bunny. Just be forewarned: the wait for the next book in the series will have you wishing Bailey was nipping at the authors heels.
A solid addition to the hilarious Big Bad Bunnies series.
Starring a bad ass feisty biker chick, and a sweet dependable determined hero,
This book will melt your heart, and keep you laughing from start to finish!
Honey badgers don’t care, and are fun while not caring! Add a clueless adorable Monster bunny and what do you get? a page turner that will keep you entertained and finish far too soon! Perfect romance, with adorable cluelessness, fierce women, laughter, and hot hot hot scenes! Golden Angel never disappoints!
LOL this story made me laugh out loud. It is funny, suspenseful, has intrigue and lots of sexy heat. A well written story with such a creative premise. I am hoping the series will continue because I look forward to these books all year.
Love this shifter world with it’s unique shifters and big personalities! Golden Angel doesn’t fail to provide spunky characters that you can help but fall in love with! The idea of a shifter with a missing sense of smell adds a unique and fun twist to this great story!
Golden Angel has created a shifter world like no other, where there are shifters of any animal you can imagine from Pudu deer to Honey Badgers. There’s even a few that are mixed up thanks to one man’s really warped mind. And don’t worry because Angel has done her homework on Honey Badgers. She encompasses the traits of a Honey Badger and a feisty biker girl into one really adorable yet really tough girl who has a bit of an issue with smelling things. How’s a girl supposed to know when she meets her mate if she can’t smell them? If you haven’t delved into the Big Bad Bunny shifter world yet, now is the time. But beware!! You might fall in love with it.
What a fun read! I love all of the Bunson brothers and their want to be taken serious. you will root for them to come together. Brice is a man any woman would love to have and Rana isnt sure. it was so fun watching Brice change Rana’s mind. I cannot wait for the next one!
I Love this Series!
This is easily in my top three favorite shifter series. I love the Bunson siblings, their mates, and the supporting cast. This latest story did not disappoint in any way. Brice and Rana are awesome! I love the addition of honey badger shifters. I sure hope we see more of Rana’s relatives in the future. But I’m sad that I have to wait another year for the next book.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of the book because I’m impatient and didn’t want to wait until the release date.
I loved how Brice tried so hard to get Rana to trust him. I think that makes them get even closer. Of course the book has all of the action and sexiness that I’ve come to love from the series. I just really enjoyed this book.
Just when I think I couldn’t love this series anymore than I do, Golden Angel tops its with Brice and Rana story.
Honey badger princess Rana Morn and her biker pack cousins live the honey badger moto. Men that try to play them will likely end up tied up covered in honey over a fire ant hill. After being scorned twice by “fated” mates taking full advantage of her anosmia, Rana is very guarded when it comes to her heart. She will not go through the pain and humiliation ever again.
Go with the flow Brice Bunson is enjoying the single life and all the excitement of life he missed when he and his siblings were imprisoned. Then one day he hears about a group of HOT biker chicks are in town. Poor Brice, his single life came to a complete hult when he caught the sent of Rana, and to make matter worse she rejects him and flees. Now he has only one mission, to win over his bad feisty honey badger.
If you are looking for a hot and steamy RomCom look no further. You will fall in love with this series.
**I recieved this book as an ARC for my honest review**
Honey Badger Don’t Give a %&*$!
I am always excited when it’s time for a new Big Bad Bunnies book! Golden Angel creates such a unique shifter world, and I love seeing what she’s come up with next. This time, we have some fated mates, but with a twist – one of them can’t smell at all, which is BASICALLY the only way you know they’re your mate! Not only that, but Rana’s been lied to on the mate front before, so she’s not exactly what you’d call “trusting”. Uh oh…
Brice is determined to earn Rana’s favor – with some help from his siblings, he comes up with a plan. Rana’s not alone however; she has her honey badger cousins with her, and to say they are protective, with big personalities, is putting it mildly! He’s got a tough road ahead of him, and that’s without taking into account the looming threat of The Company.
Crazy antics, sweet sentiments, danger and intrigue, all liberally sprinkled with a plethora of Monty Python references, makes this another home run for Golden Angel! So…umm…can I have the next one now please??
Hot, sweet and hilarious
Book 5 in the Big Bad Bunnies series, while this can be read as a standalone, due to the underlying series storyline as well as a large number of characters carrying over, I’d recommend reading the series in order for maximum enjoyment.
I always look forward to this author for the way she blends humor, heat and great characters, and this series in particular for its world building and nerdy fandom references, and this latest story doesn’t disappoint. I loved the “what if” twist on this world’s fated mates; as tough as Rana was, she still had a vulnerable side, and Brice’s efforts at winning her over were sweet and funny. Plus as a long-time Monty Python fan, I had a lot of fun with the Holy Grail references while the thought of converting all those honey badgers into “Ni!” quoting fan girls still has me snickering.
Of course, I enjoyed the chance to catch up with the rest of the Bunson siblings and their mates and friends (Bethany always cracks me up) and the story had just the right amount of suspense to keep things interesting.
Hot, sweet and hilarious, this was another great addition to the series. I’m looking forward to getting Bailey’s story (though sad the series will be ending), and was overjoyed to learn the honey badgers will be getting a series of their own. 5+ stars

I was sucked into the world this author created for us from the beginning. I fell in love with Brice and Rana from the beginning and their witty banter sealed it for me. Brice and Rana could not be more different from each other but they have a lot in common because they both have had a tough time growing up with two totally different backgrounds. Rana is “royalty” in her community and Brice is an “abomination” by community standards. Rana has been burned before and doesn’t trust easily, will Brice help her get over the hurdle and have her trust in him? This is an emotional journey of love and trust. Great addition to the series. I can’t wait for the next installment!!
This is another wonderful addition to this enjoyable series. It is book five of the series and these books really should be read in order. This is Brice and Rana’s story and it is a perfect combination of sweet, cute, steam and laugh out loud humor. I loved these characters and I felt for both of them. Rana, with her lack of smell can’t scent her true mate. Having been burned before she has big trust issues. Brice, knows with 100% certainty that they are mates; getting Rana to believe it is the problem. This sets off this couples journey of love and gives readers one totally delightful, swoon worthy romp. All the while The Company continues to be a threat to them and everyone else. I am posting a frank, freely posted review.
This was quite the emotional journey. After everything Brice and Rana have gone through in their lives, they finally have to acknowledge their hopes, dreams, likes, dislikes, fears and anger. One with trust issues, the other with learning to be decisive. Golden Angel’s ability to give her characters relatable flawed, quirky personalities carries through in this terrific story where once again the underlying plot slithers through. Not only was there all the normal angst of a PNR, but we have the highly charged sexual attraction AND the added bonus of their sense of humor which absolutely makes things so enjoyable. Congratulations on a great addition to a terrific series.
‘Small’ Yet Fierce Shifters!!
Brice has found his fated mate – but Rana has no sense of smell, and has been lied to in the past, so does not believe Brice’s claim. Brice is a walking lab experiment; a grizzly-sized bunny shifter with a turtle shell under his fluffy while fur; an outcome of being held and experimented on by The Company.
Rana lives with a pack of biker honey badgers, and they are not to be trifled with. Brice’s brothers, also by-products of The Company, earned their mates and try to assist Brice with dating advice; three dates before trying anything, show her you think of her when she is not there, etc. Those Bunsons have no filters and are still learning social skills.
The Company remains a threat. Romantic and hysterical all at the same time, peppered with Monty Python quotes, the nose game, and interesting fountains. Great storyline with underlying humor and sizzling romance. I simply adore these stories!!
