Ginny has her hands full between work, school and her family but when she sees a stranded motorist her giving nature won’t just let her leave him on the side of the road. Hawk is a successful businessman who comes from an affluent family who is enchanted with Ginny from the moment they meet.
Due to her past Ginny doesn’t believe that a man like Hawk would be interested in a woman like her but Hawk is resolved to convince her that she is all he could ever want or need and he isn’t about to let anyone or anything stand in their way.
Ginny and Hawk had well written chemistry and the steam was definitely delivered. Both characters were fairly well written as well. What I didn’t like or thought should have had more attention paid to during the writing process was some of the supporting details. Some of the information was contradictory to say the least. And I am someone that pays attention to those little details throughout the story. Overall good read and I am likely to read the other books in the series.

Simple, very good and hot
4.5
Sometimes the apparent simplicity hides a more complex narrative that only appears in twists and turns, and this is the case here. Everything seems to unfold like a simple, predictable romance, but the end is partially unexpected.
I loved the excellent heroine, Ginny, mainly for her way not allow Hawk to flirt with her, but it’s only an armor to protect herself from verbal aggression, mockery and harassment that she has always suffered since her childhood. So when the rich heir, Hawk, shows his interest in Ginny, she thinks that it is a bad prank and the more she rebuffs him, the more he manages to invade her space.
The story is very well written, hot, with manipulations and pettiness.

This was an enjoyable story about Ginny and Hawk. Ginny grew up in a small Texas town and was harassed and bullied her entire life. Hawk comes to town to help run the family business there and instantly falls in love with Ginny. She is not used to the attention and fights the attraction she feels. Can they overcome the harassment and find their HEA?
I like the story, it was well written and fairly quick to read but told the whole story. I loved the epilogue because I always like to know what the further holds for the pair.

When small town girl Ginny meets a calloused-hand billionaire Hawk, spark fly.
So do barbs.
From her to him.
Ginny’s beautiful. She’s not your average beauty–tall or svelte or spotless skin. She’s on the shorter side with a roadmap of wicked curves and freckles that give her skin character. But being her made it easy for kids to target her in high school. The joke they played, the names they said, all of that stuck with her throughout the years. So she hides behind a smart mouth and rapid fire wit, unwilling to ever let anyone near her heart again. Until the guy on the side of the road with a smoking vintage Mustang.
That guy was Hawk. He’s an oil tycoon but not the white collar kind. He’s worked the rigs, built some too, in his quest to one day take over the company from his dad. When he opened a branch in Tupperville, TX, he hadn’t counted on one particular local folk to catch his attention. Of course, she looked like she’d rather stab him in the leg with whatever’s on hand then give him the time of day. But that’s okay. He’s patient. She intrigues him. He just needs to make sure he wins her heart while remaining physically intact.
For a short book, this packs a punch. The battle to win Ginny is valiantly fought with patience and charm as Hawk’s only weapons. Discovering why she’s surrounded by titanium-alloy walls is only part of their story; convincing her she’s worth the fight, that what they have is genuine is something else altogether. Especially when an outside force makes a sudden move that drives them apart and threatens to end what they have permanently.
Ms. Wick is a fairly new-to-me author, and I’ve grown to appreciate and enjoy her style of writing and voice with every book I read. She puts so much into each couple, makes them as real and genuine as possible, then takes them on a journey that’s neither straight nor easy but still leads to a happily ever after. This is definitely one I’ll read again, and one I recommend.

A sweet small town girl meets attractive rich man romance read. Ginny and Hawk were total opposite but they worked so well together. Great chemistry, some drama and a romance that will have you cheering for their HEA. I love a good romance read that will have you smirking at the end and this new release did that and more.
Chasing Her Curves by Christa Wick. I like a good opposites attract romance and I found this story to be enjoyable and steamy; a good mix of drama, passion, and a strong character mix. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. What seems like a back water town in the middle of Texas, where a curvy girl is hiding from her troubled youth, shows a new York CEO oil magnet how things are run. Hawk wanted funny but with the cruelty from her high school peers set her back when it came to trust. It was a really good story line and we’ll worth the read.
This books is amazing! Had me hooked from the very first page. Virginia “Ginny” Kelly is a young woman carrying the weight of the world in her shoulders. On her way to her family’s home to feed her father whom is recovering from back surgery she meets Hawk McKinley a wealthy man in town for business who’s car is broken down on the side of the road. Ginny stops to help thinking he’s the most handsome man she’s ever seen. He’s trying hard to get her attention but to Ginny she must be mistaken cause no man looking like him would ever consider a woman like her. This book was amazing, storyline was good and the way Hawk broke down all her walls was beautiful, how patient he was with her. How at the end of everything their love survived. The storyline was original.. and the scenes were steamy!!!

Another beautiful story. HAWT sex. Protective men. Witch co- worker. Awesome family. And Christa Wick puts it all together in a can not put down book again. If you have read any book of hers you know how good they are. This one is just a.good as her others. And I can.not wait for more.

When Ginny came to Hawk’s assistance he was captivated and impress with her sass and skills. Not only ha she fixed his car, she captured his heart as well. All Ginny’s life she had been picked on for being a big girl which hardened her heart. Can Hawk soften those walls and get her to see that he wants her forever or will all the drama created by his father and some of the towns people bring and end to what could have been a happily ever after.

This story reads like a hot day in Texas, slow, hot, sweet. Ginny is a big girl, who has been bullied by her peers since high school. One day she helps the handsome stranger and her journey begins. Hawk McKinley can not forget the hot read head and he will search high an low to find her. Their push and pull and her sassiness makes this a fun hot read.

Attraction ignites when a strong woman faces off with a determined man. Ginny and Hawk don’t just get under the skin. They wrap themselves around a heart. Chasing Her Curves is fierce in every way.
This was another steamy insta-love story by this author! Hawk’s car had broken down on the side of the road and Ginny against her better judgement stopped to help. Hawk was immediately smitten, Ginny not so much. Their story was sweet. Hawk really had to work for a place in her life. Hawk wanted to let the world know about them. Ginny had her reasons for keeping him at a distance. I liked that they didn’t get their HEA right away.
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book!
This was a very enjoyable quick read. The steam factor is well balanced out with a heavy dose of heart melting sweetness in this book. I loved Hawk and Ginny. Her insecurities created quite the challenge for his determination. I loved watching their story unfold. Some drama is added for interest but for the most part I thought that this read was all about the emotions. So spicy and sweet, I thought that this was a delicious reading treat.
A read about a billionaire, Hawk, who is in a small town and while stranded on the side of the road, Ginny comes to his rescue and then disappears, so he seeks her out. He finds her waitressing and starts flirting only to have it backfire on him. But he isn’t giving up and Ginny proves to be a challenge…a challenge he willingly accepts…so when he finds a way to have her working for him…did he cross too much over the line…
A great short read with steam that gets right to the point. I enjoyed these two and their chemistry and I liked that Ginny wasn’t always woo is me and hard on herself. Yes, she was at times but she also had a spine and stood up for herself when warranted. I really enjoyed the ending and what Hawk does to prove to Ginny that she is his one. Only thing missing for me was seeing Cherry getting her karma after all these years.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Yes the chase is on! This was a great book with a easy story and wonderful characters. Hawk is perfection and I’m glad he never stopped chasing Ginny even when she was running from herself. This was an enjoyable read that flowed from page to page. I have read other series by Christa and I have never read a book that I didn’t like. I’m so glad to be on her ARC team. If you haven’t read any of her books treat yourself and give her a try because you will not be disappointed. Until next time y’all happy reading.
Mm mmm – a satisfying romance!
Ginny Kelly is a woman who won’t be turned from her goals. She’s helpful, devoted to her family, smart, with a wide array of down-to-earth abilities. Yes, a small-town Texas girl, not a socialite. Hawk McKinley has his work cut out for him as he pursues his interest in his ‘Sweet Tea’ – she has barriers. Fortunately, Hawk is persistent. I really enjoy his personality. Not exactly what one might expect from a billionaire. He is discerning, diligent, and finds creative ways to achieve his goals. Their journey to a HEA is delicious reading, though not without a few pitfalls along the way. An ever so satisfying conclusion!
Ginny and Hawk are adorable. She’s a sweet curvy girl who’s small town demons have left her with a bitter taste in her mouth. Acceptance and understanding not something that she’s ever experienced outside the love of her family. Fiercely independent and resourceful, she sweeps oil tycoon Hawk off his feet in a reversal of roles with him starring as the damsel in distress when his car breaks down on the freeway. Hawk being the strong Alpha type wastes no time getting what he wants and living up to his animal namesake, focusing in on his sexy prey and hunting her down. Once again, Christa Wick provides us with a happily ever after love story that will leave you sighing and thirsty for some texas sweet tea.
Short and sweet with some aggravation thrown into the mix. I liked parts of this, like how they met and interacted. Other parts didn’t make sense to me, like all the drama with Hawk’s father. I mean, I kinda get why the man might be cautious, but that was a tad extreme. I also felt like the very end part was not really necessary. Seemingly added for the sake of adding it.
