This is a prequel novella to the Underground Series and can be read at any time in the series. While Alice rampaged through Wonderland a different story was being told. One that never should have been forgotten. The Fae courts have always been separated. So different from each other they could never agree on what is right and what is very very wrong.Until now.A mistake long forgotten is quickly … wrong.
Until now.
A mistake long forgotten is quickly closing in and the two courts must now put all their faith in combining their powers by marriage.
Lynne is nothing more than a caged bird. With only her books and plants to keep her company she will finally get the chance to be free when the Seelie Queen commands her to marry. The dark prince of the UnSeelie Court is nothing like Lynne would have imagined. Dashing and a bit broody he will capture her heart before she can even realize what has happened.
But not everyone wants a happily ever after for these two Fae. There are some who would revel in seeing them fall and in turn all of the Wonderland will burn.

I loved it!! Finding out the story between Dorian and Lynne. It is a wonderful story filled with everything you want to make a story complete and enticing. Seelie and UnSeelie, magic and magical creatures, danger and betrayal and of course what would a fae story be without deception. Brings a whole new light to Dorian being the Dark Prince and why along with Lynne and her struggles. Great read and as always amazing characters and insight that this author is good for!! A complete story!
This story is a prequel to the Underground series. This is Lynne and Dorian’s background story. It’s a great twist on Alice in Wonderland. This book is a stand alone prequel and can be read at any point in the series. But if your new to the series start here.
Great and interesting take on Alice In Wonderland; well written with interesting characters and a well built world.
This story is a prequel to the Underground series. I enjoyed learning the story of Dorian and Lynne; it is a wonderful story filled with everything you could want … Seelie and UnSeelie, magic and magical creatures, danger and betrayal and of course what would a fae story be without deception. This was a fun short read that filled in a few blanks.
Looking forward to the next book

An interesting take on the idea of wonderland
I could see the characters and world they lived in with every word I read
I would recommend this author however I dropped the series due to constraints on my time
Note: will pick up series again later and edit all reviews

A very quick yet highly entertaining adventure that keeps you on the edge of your seat and will leave you breathless for more… Great reading!
This is an interesting prequel to The Underground series. It tells Lynne and Dorian’s story and gives a lot of insight into their characters and it expands on Wonderland and the fae there. It’s a prequel, but you can read it any time through the series.

Our heroine is ordered to marry to unite the dark and light fae, but it turns out this is an okay thing by her. Unfortunately, not all welcome such a union and they make their displeasure known.
This is book seven of the series, and book three of the second story arc. This one actually works pretty well as a standalone, so if you want to start here, it should work.
This story arc is a fantasy story and something of a retelling of the original Wonderland story, but it is definitely deviating from the original as well. The story is well written, easy to read and continues to be very engaging. The characters are new, fresh and well developed, providing a nice expansion on the entire world. The plot is as convoluted as usual, keeping you guessing as to what will happen next. Overall, another fun installment in the series.
Highly recommended.

This book is part of the amazing series The Underground. This series has me hooked. Chasing Hearts had a great storyline that had a great flow with amazing character work. I love the book covers!!! I’m looking forward the next book and recommend reading.

I absolutely loved this prequel to the Underground series, learning more about these two characters and how it all began. I don’t know if I would have rather read this one first or not. I had many questions as I went through the Underground series about what happened, how, and why, but I’m not sure I would have wanted my questions tempered by this prequel. Sometimes it is nicer to learn as you go. Either way, I so love these characters and their beautiful, tragic story. This is not one to miss.

Chasing Hearts is the prequel to The Underground series. This is a quick read where we get to see the beginning and now we know why things and characters are the way they are. A great way to start the series.
So I’ve read the whole underground Series In recent days and am totally addicted to it! This prequel novella takes us back to the very beginning and we learn the history for Lynne and Doria. This also answers some questions and ties up a few loose ends and is a great introduction to this adult version of Alice in wonderland!
A take on Alice in Wonderland. This Novella takes you to the Fae world two kingdoms two harts both broken all because of one person. Lynn kept chained to her court a princess of the Seelee will find love and betrayal but not everything is as it seems. Dorian a prince of the UnSeelee may have to marry but he never expected to love his betrothed but there are dark arts conspiring to tear them apart.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.
**3.5 stars **
I wasn’t too fond for the rest of the Underground series. I found them very disjointed and trying too hard to find a ‘voice’ in the madness. That being said. I did like this Prequel. Maybe because it was before the forced madness (as there was no AiW script to follow thru the lookinglass and twist into a new take). It is just the beginnings of love or the endings of it and the beginnings of heartache. I just couldn’t quite figure that one out . Either way, it can be a standalone or a step along Underground path.

Queen and King of the Seelie Court just had their little girl, they are waiting for the seer to come. The seer had some not so great news for the parents. This causes the Queen to close off her heart to her child.
Lynne is not allowed out of the palace, she is temperamental child. She loves to read, she spends a lot of time with her father. She is not happy that her parents decide to arrange a marriage for her. She is supposed to marry the unseelie prince. She decides that she doesn’t want to, she wants to refuse.
Dorian is told his duty is to marry the Seelie prince Lynne, he hates that his mother has requested it of him. He will do his duty as he has been asked. He is not a relationship kind of guy. He gets to the palace to finally meet this prince and their story has just begun.
This is nice introduction to the characters from before Chasing Rabbits, fills in some of the backstory rather than the flashbacks some of the characters have, also shows why the queen is the way she is.

This was a great prequel that gave us a look at how this series came about. The characters and story line were well written.

How refreshing to read a totally new offshoot of Alice in Wonderland. Interesting story that integrates some of the old with a new version. I highly recommend this book
This is the prequel to the underground series and I love how I was able to see the history of Lynne and Dorian. If you have not read this series yet this would be the place to start, if you have read the series you will learn to see things just a little bit different. Not much I can say with out giving spoilers and I refuse to do that!
