I gave everything to my job.
Untiring hard work. Dedication unmatched by anything else.
My entire life revolved around my career.
Despite all that, I didn’t get the promotion I was hoping for.
I got the boot.
They say the best revenge is a life well-lived, and I’m determined to show them by landing on my feet. The last place I ever expected to land was in the small town of Billingsley, … expected to land was in the small town of Billingsley, Texas.
I long ago vowed never to return to the memories it holds of the worst one-night stand ever.
Unfortunately, skipping your best friend’s wedding is not an option.
Neither is avoiding Billy, the one man who managed to turn my world upside down in a single evening.
The man I’ve been burying myself in work to stop thinking about.
But all I have is time now. And he’s not as easy to run from as I thought…
There are four stand-alone books in the Billingsley series:
♥Redeeming Lottie – Tucker & Lottie
♥Chasing Hannah – Billy & Hannah
♥Taming Wes – Wes & Devin
♥Tempting Tim – Tim & Conley

This is Billy’s and Hannah’s second chance love story.
Hannah lost her job in Seattle. She comes back to Billingsley Tx for her friend’s, Lottie, wedding. Since Hannah didn’t have a job in Seattle, she agreed to manage Lottie’s store while she is on her Honeymoon. Hannah knew at one time or another she would bump into Billy. They had an unforgettable one night together 10 months earlier. Billy has feelings for her, but is awkward about telling her. There is plenty of humor, emotional moments and a wonderful buildup to their romance.
Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross are talented and phenomenal in their narration. They are always a pleasure to listen to.

I voluntarily read this ARC book. This is a great cowboy romance book to read. I couldn’t stop reading this book.
Couldn’t finish it. It was going nowhere
Chasing Hannah by Melissa Ellen is a small town second chance romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross. This is the second book in the Billingsley series and can be read as stand-alone.
This is the first book of Melissa’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Hannah and Billy. I enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
Sarah and Wen did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I can’t wait to listen to more of their work in the future.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves small town romances, second chance romances, or contemporary romance.

Ah, Hannah and Billy. I just loved these two, and they make a great couple. Of course, there are a few hoops to jump through, but darned if it isn’t a blast getting there. This is the second in Melissa Ellen’s Billingsley series, and it’s just as full of feels, laughs, and terrific characters as the first. If you’ve read Redeeming Lottie, then, like me, you’ve met this couple – not as a couple, but still, we’ve met. I’ll admit that I was kind of rooting for Hannah to get another great character from book one, but I wasn’t too disappointed. Hannah and Billy work really well together.
The book is a pretty quick listen, and the story kept me listening straight through, so it’s safe to say that it held my interest. I’m quickly learning that Melissa Ellen knows how to pick ’em when it comes to narrators because Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross do a terrific job of giving voice to Hannah and Billy. This is my first time listening to Sarah Puckett, and I’m impressed with how well she does what she does. Of course, if you listen to romance and haven’t enjoyed Wen Ross, you certainly need to. He’s as good here as I expected, and he’s helped make Billy a favorite character for me.
All in all, Chasing Hannah is a solid addition to the Billingsley series, and I can’t wait to dive into Melissa Ellen’s next small-town romance.
Audio review
Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross did a wonderful job bringing Hannah and Billy’s story to life. They not only did the characters justice they brought the small town of Billingsley to life as well.
This is light hearted, fun romance where Hannah and Billy find themselves in the same town again after a one night blunder. This book has it all banter, wit and the underline sexual tension. This book was an enjoyable audiobook to listen to. Definitely an audio to add to your list
4.5 Stars for Chasing Hannah
Audio Review:
Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross did a wonderful job bringing Hannah and Billy’s second chance at love to life, they not only did the characters justice they brought the small town of Billingsley to life as well.
Hannah loves her life in Seattle but when she unexpectedly loses her job, the last thing she wants us to return to Billingsley and the man who has haunted her dreams after she spent one night with him. Problem is her best friend is getting married and she needs to be there for the wedding so it’s time to put on her big girl panties and face the music….
Billy regrets how that night ended and is hoping once they come face to face he can prove he is worthy of a do-over but like all good plans, they don’t always work out how we want them to and that’s when the fun and games begin.
Chasing Hannah was an entertaining, fun book to listen too, it has adorable characters that you can’t help falling for, it’s based in a town I would love to live in and it has the perfect mix of a love, humour with just a touch of angst. I really enjoyed listening to this book and I’m looking forward to more visits to Billingsley as soon as time permits.

Narrated by Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross
I am a complete sucker for small town romance. This one truly ticked all the boxes for me. It was sweet, slightly angsty, funny, steamy, and gave me all the feels. My first read/listen by this author and I am hooked. I’m so ready to start the audio for Taming Wes, Wes is Hannah’s BFF and he has me needy for his hotness and humor.
Hannah and Billy just click, they have an undeniable chemistry and you feel it right from the start. Misunderstandings and their inability to speak their feelings out loud has kept them at a distance for way too long. When their together its electric and all consuming.
The narrators did a fantastic job bringing Hannah and Billy to life. Wen Ross has that gravelly, seductive voice that’ll send tingles throughout your body. Sarah Puckett, I just love her voice, she perfects every role she takes on. The narrators, the story, and this author have stolen my heart. Absolute must listen/read!
4 star Review of Chasing Hannah (Billingsley #2) by Melissa Ellen
AUDIO REVIEW:
Recently I have found myself gravitating to small town romances and as this is a second chance at love story, I couldn’t wait to dive in. Narrated by Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross, they both did a good job bringing Hannah and Billy’s story to life.
This is Hannah Montgomery and Billy Miller’s story and it was an entertaining book to listen too. I really liked how sassy and feisty Hannah was; her sense of humour had me laughing out loud at times and I was drawn to her personality. I fell hard and fast for Billy, such a great guy whose life has not been easy.
I admired Billy’s determination and commitment to make Hannah happy, totally swoon worthy. The chemistry between them is intense and you could almost feel the tension in the air, making it impossible to ignore.
This is a sweet, romantic love story, with a little angst thrown in and one that I found enjoyable to listen too.
Chasing Hannah is a stand alone book in a connected series. I haven’t read Redeeming Lottie, but I feel like I got enough background information to enjoy Chasing Hannah without it. The characters are shared between books so I’m sure it’s best read in order unless you don’t mind spoilers. I was surprised how often characters themselves recognized best relationship practices and got good relationship advice from others, and yet the best intentions can still be a little rocky. I would be interested in listening to more of the series.
The narration was excellent. Sarah Puckett is my favorite “angst” narrator because she’s able to convey regret so well and Hannah has a lot to regret about her first night with Billy. I always appreciate dual narration for dual points of view, and Wen Ross plays opposite Sarah well. I enjoyed the book more because of their performances.

Great Story & Listen Sweet & Delightful!
Chasing Hannah: A Small Town Second Chance Romance
The Billingsley Series, Book 2
By: Melissa Ellen
Narrated by Sarah Puckett & Wen Ross
I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook, it is a sweet and delightful romance novel. It is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. I am not quite sure how this is my first book written by Melissa Ellen all I know it will definitely be my last. She is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style. Her characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. I adored the two lead characters, Hannah Montgomery and Billy Miller, the secondary characters are great too especially Wes he sure was something else. Hannah lives in Seattle and Billy in Billingsley Texas, they met ten months early while she was visiting, the two really clicked and they wind up having a memorable steamy night together. She had not heard from him since, returning for her friend Lottie’s wedding. She avoided seeing Billy for as long as possible but it was inevitable that they would meet again. Being that Hannah had just lost her job she offered to help Lottie out by watching her store so she could go and enjoy her honeymoon. Billy Miller has issues and regrets, one being how he treated Hannah the last time they saw each other. But he does not know how to express himself, at first he avoids Hannah, the feelings he has for her scares him but he finally grows a pair and lets her know how he feels. They are up front with each other, she tells him her life is in Seattle and she does not think she could survive small town living. I love how everything plays out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted and there is plenty of drama, humor, heartfelt and emotional moments and a wonderful romance. Melissa Ellen, thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to checking out more of your work.
And for the fabulous narration, Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross are the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. They are talented narrators narrators and voice performers. They did an awesome job portraying the characters, they grasped each characters persona and played the role with perfection, sounding just as I pictured them to sound. I love how they took each role and made it their own. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen

This was the second book for me to read, first to listen to, by Melissa Ellen. I truly enjoyed it. It was well written with a great storyline and wonderful characters! The way it started, I decided I wanted to go back and read the first book (before continuing on) so I’d understand all the little details. So glad I did! I love a good series where I can fall in love with the world that the author created. Billy and Hannah had a hard start and almost finish. Billy came though in the end.
Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross are an excellent team when narrating. They put so much emotion into the performance. They are definitely favorite narrators of mine!
*I received an ALC of this audiobook and this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

AUDIOBOOK ALC REVIEW
I really adored this book; it was light, funny, well written and truly enjoyable. Hannah and Billy’s chemistry is everything and their story was really great to listen to, they were great character, although there were time when both of them were so stubborn that I wanted to shake them and make them see some sense, but everything worked out so I forgave them…LOL.
The narrators of this story are Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross, and they were so perfect for this characters that I fell in love with the story even more.
Overall, the book and the narration were so good, and I can’t wait to listen to the next book because this is one of those books were you also fall for the secondary characters.
PFP ALC review.
Chasing Hannah was such a delight to listen to. Melissa Ellen crafted a story that is full of humor, heart and heat, and delivered a great big-city-girl-falls-for-small-down-boy rom com.
Hannah is at a crossroads in her life and doesn’t know what she wants to do now. What she does know is that last time she was in Billingsley, she embarrassed herself royally at the end of one of the hottest hookups ever. Billy, said hookup, still feels burned by Hannah’s cut and run.
Honestly, Hannah is sassy and smart and keeps Billy on his toes. Their relationship is so fun to experience as it unfolds. The narration, by Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross, is perfect for this book. It was so enjoyable, and they were both great at bringing humor and emotion to the words.

Hannah goes to Billingsley, Texas where her best friend is getting married. She does want to go because of an embarrassing one night stand almost a year earlier. “Unfortunately, skipping your best friend’s wedding is not an option.” But it’s the best thing that she ever did.
Hannah & Billy go so good together but they both are holding back on how they truly feel. There were a few times I wanted to knock some sense into them! But I do think if it was just instant together, the story would have definitely lacked something.
Hannah & Billy’s story is a cute one. I’ve been into dark romances lately so this was a nice change of pace. Melissa Ellen did a great job! Can’t wait to read more of her work!
Sarah & Wen are some of my favorite narrators and my favorite duo! They both did fantastic jobs narrating!

Hannah enjoys her life in Seattle and her job however her life takes a twist she doesn’t see coming when she loses her job. She isn’t looking forward to returning to Billingsley for her best friend’s wedding she will have to face the man she spent a steamy evening with and had a morning after that she would like to forget.
Billy regrets the way he acted after their night together and what he would really like is a do-over but their interactions never seem to go as planned. When she ends up staying in town for two weeks to manage her friend’s store they realize that there is much more to chemistry between them but with their very different plans for the future they will need to decide what and who they can’t live without you.
This is a sweet and sexy story about two people who couldn’t be more different except when it comes to their love for each other. I listened to an audio copy of the book and thought that the narrators did a greet job with the characters and the storyline. The Flock
It’s okay to have a sense of humor. Even as your life is falling apart. Chasing Hannah is an experience. Ellen and company makes sure it’s as entertaining as it is heartaching. Life may not always be beautiful, but it’s sure to be awhile ride.
This is a sweet book. Hannah and Billy go through many misunderstandings and they need to navigate some issues like her career. I thought it was a fast moving story with some amusing banter and fun characters. I loved Wes so I look forward to when he gets his own story.
I listened to an advanced listener’s copy and it was narrated by Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross. They were great! Both have such smooth voices that are nuanced to highlight the emotions of the story. They definitely elevated the story.
Chasing Hannah: A Small Town Second Chance Romance
The Billingsley Series #2
by Melissa Ellen
Narrated by Sarah Puckett & Wen Ross
If you are looking for a funny, contemporary romance, look no further! Melissa Ellen has it for you! This is my first book by her, and though second in the series, it does stand alone. There are a few references to Hannah’s friend Lottie, but nothing that takes away from her own story. Fall in love with Hannah as she has a one night stand with Billy. Figuring she would not see him again, she let herself loose. The problem is, she can’t stop thinking about him. Billy enjoyed meeting Hannah and he too felt their connection. Now Hannah is in the same town as Billy and seeing him will be inevitable. Will they find their way to happiness? Is Billy the player she thinks he is? Talk about swoony heroes. Billy is attentive, handsome and the kind of man we all dream of. Hannah is feisty and smart, but when it comes to Billy, she loses her mind! I enjoyed this look into their life, the wonderful way they meld together and overcome obstacles. It’s a great listen.
Narrated by the talented team of Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross, I knew I was in for a treat. These two are so versatile and connect easily with their characters. Puckett is the perfect Hannah. She brings out all the feels. Ross is the swoony hero, his voice spot on. It’s a story you don’t want to miss!
Coming soon! ALC copy!
Not bad, but not great. Didn’t totally dislike it but also couldn’t really get into the story or the characters.
