Fabulous Ending!
In the last book Jacinda put Chatan to sleep in order to run and save her mother without Chatan. She thought to protect the man she loves the fate that she saw in her dream, little did she know that she would soon pick up a stray cat along the way.
Now that Jacinda has freed Dove and Hawk she plans on ending the evil that has hunted her family for thousands of years. She learns she has a grandfather and meets all of Chatans family among them his father whom was her fathers good friend and holds the second of the three journals that will finally help her decipher what her father wanted her to learn about ending Thanatos for good. Among many things she learns that she has others that want the same thing she has spent so many years attempting. But she especially learns that it is ok to have someone by her side that loves her and to love, she has loved him from the moment her 2 year old self saw him.
Mages, Druids and even the members of The Branches of Emrys will come together to attempt to rid the world of the evil that has plagued the Others for so long and wants to cross the realm to bring about dark days of destruction.
The Dove and Hawk have finally merged.
I really enjoyed this series. Would recommend it.
Jacinda leaves Chatan believing this is the only way to save him. Jacinda needs to understand that in order to defeat Thanatos Hawk and Dove must be together as well as help from others. Chatan is learning more about his magic as well after learning how his is mother his his magic. Jacinda learns that reaching out for help and spending time with friends and family is what she needs in her life. Loved getting the end of their story.
This was an ending worth waiting for. The connection between these two is what ultimately keeps everyone safe. So many answers in this chapter, of course there’s still lots of stories left. I await this author’s next book impatiently.
I received an ARC of this story and have voluntarily chosen to review it here.
Awesome! Chasing Dove, the conclusion to Jacinda and Chatan’s story, whom I met in Finding Hawk, is just as exciting as the beginning. In this half of the story, I was reunited with lots of the characters from Edenton and from the Branches of Emrys as well as introduced to new characters and even another fascinating place of magic called Pine Valley.
Chasing Dove is full of excitement, emotional turmoil, danger and of course the sweet and passionate romance between Jacinda and Chatan. Their romance is proving to be a very strong draw with a heartfelt and fulfilling attraction that readers can’t help but cheer them on to their very deserving happily ever after while they are discovering secrets from their pasts and discovering that their destiny is connected to a prophecy and an ancient war. There is never a dull moment to be found in this very thrilling story which has a kind of adventure feel to it as they travel to different places and rifts during their journey to discover how to defeat Jacinda’s lifelong enemy before he can become even stronger which adds a bit of urgency to the story as well ensuring that the readers stay on the edge of their seats throughout.
Brandy L. Rivers has such a gift for creating wonderful, exciting stories and her world of Others just continues to fascinate me and her characters are well developed and easily connected to and I can’t help but fall for each and every one. I love visiting each of the three series, Others of Edenton, Others of Seattle and the Branches of Emrys and I certainly can’t wait to visit some more and to discover even more magical places with fascinating and new characters is such an awesome addition to these worlds because that means that there is more possibilities for stories.
