OK I don’t like spoilers so I will try to do this right. Now this book of the series is a little different well at least from book 1. We get to know more about the struggle Kat is going thru dealing with her “duel” self thing she has going on. Well hiding out she kinda starts figuring things out a far as her human side with the fae side. But she still can’t get away from the Underground peoples and so lots going on but not a whole lot of action but good story development. The ending?? Well now that just did a wham bam and kind of the Man scorned wow. So do I recommend it? Most def. The story is well developed and so are the characters, fun, cute, and entertaining and a good read.
Book 2 picks up where Book 1 left off and continues the story of Kat. She has returned to her world and her old life, but she has changed alot. As with the first book, Erin Bedford has a wonderfully developed story world and group of characters. I couldn’t put it down and am reading the rest of the series as quickly as I can!
Great and interesting take on Alice In Wonderland; well written with interesting characters and a well built world.
Kat attempts to catch a carrot stealing white rabbit but she ends up in “Wonderland” ; which is really the Underground, made up of the Seelie, Unseelie, and Between. A bunch of characters for sure! Adventures ensue as she is trying to get home!
Looking forward to the next book
Kat comes back to the human world her fae magic coming with her. She is done with Dorian. Chess takes up residence with her keeping her safe and helping her control her magic. And slowly feeling grow between Kat and Chess.
An interesting take on the idea of wonderland
I could see the characters and world they lived in with every word I read
I would recommend this author however I dropped the series due to constraints on my time
Note: will pick up series again later and edit all reviews

Kat is back in the human world but she can’t forget about Wonderland. People she knew from there keep showing up and to top it all off she now has magic and it’s a lot to adjust to. This story is different from Chasing Rabbits since it takes place in the real world but my favourite characters still show up, especially the Cheshire Cat. We get to know the characters a lot more in this book which I liked and I can’t wait to read the next book!

Our heroine visited Wonderland and escaped, or so she thought. But the influence of this place lingers.
This is book two of the series. While it does okay as a standalone, I recommend starting at the beginning so that you understand the situation.
This is a fantasy story which revisits the classic Wonderland setting, not a retelling of the original story. Some of the setting and characters may see familiar, but they have changed making this story new and all on its own. The story is well written, easy to read and very engaging. The setting and characters continue to grow and change, providing new revelations and challenges for our heroine. But it remains to be seen if she is up for these challenges. Overall, another excellent chapter in our saga.
Highly recommended.

This is the second book in a re-imagined world of Alice of Wonderland with a modern twist. The characters are interesting and the plot kept me reading to see what would come next. I liked see the usual characters in a new light. Plus cannot forget the 2 hot guys that seem to be around as Kat tries to come to terms with what happened in book 1 and what it might mean for her in the future. Just a good book that kept me entertained.
Well I loved book one but I think I loved book two even more! Carrying on from book one we find our heroine back in the real world but she has come back changed! It’s a great second book with more action packed adventure, more secrets and betrayals, more romance and a certain Cheshire Cat whom keeps popping up! Can’t wait to read book 3!
Kat is home from the underground, she has had the constant presence of the an owl. She realizes it is the unseelie prince watching her. Chess has come to see her as well. She is overwhelmed by her her past life of being a princess with who she is now. Chess tries to help her learn glamour, she is not having luck with it. Her human mother comes when Chess and others are there. Her mother invites Chess to family dinner. Her old friend from the underground also come to see her.
Kat just wants to breath and take time to come to terms with what is happening to her. Dorian will not leave her alone but he can’t seem to see that she isn’t his old fiancé. She has feeling for Chess but has her old feeling for her Dorian, but she can’t see past the old betrayals. Kat will also need to start dealing with the problems of the underworld and the shadows.
This was a good second book. This is more of Kat and Chess in this one. You will enjoy the story.

I enjoyed the continuation of the story line and the characters were well written. This was a great addition to the series.

WOW… Erin Bedford you did it again… I loved reading Chasing Cats…
I was riveted in my seat while reading and wondering what Kat (Katherine) was going to do about Chess (Cheshire Cat)… her feelings are all over the place…
Because at the end of book 1 he helps her out of the Underground and she goes home to the human world… Such a whirl wind of emotions going through Kat as she experiences the Seelie Princess’s emotions and feelings as to what happened before she died… and now the two are combined into one… and that is Kat
On one hand we have the Unseelie Fae Prince Dorian who loves the Princess and was her Fiancee and on the other hand we have the handsome and adorable Cheshire Cat (Chess) who is an actual play boy and loves to play around with all the ladies… and the question is Who does Kat (the princess) love?… good question.
Then we have the Shadow Man who wants Kat to be the Queen and ruler of the Shadow World…
What is a girl to do? What would you do in Kat’s situation..?
And again Who does Kat love… The UnSeelie Fae Prince Dorian or Chess (Cheshire Cat)? Who would you choose?
If you are wondering… and want to know what happens in Chasing Cats you need to read the book.. I did and simply loved it.. I can’t wait till Book #3 comes out
This is the second book in this fun series, and you could probably figure things out as you go if you haven’t read the first one, it will be a lot more enjoyable if you have.
This isn’t your average Alice in Wonderland spin-off. It’s clever, with interesting characters and a well-written story line. There are elements of romance but I would classify it as an Urban Fantasy. Where the first book focused on background and worldbuilding, this one is more about character development. I like this because it usually means the series is going to be slightly longer than just the average trilogy. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Chasing Cats is a very interesting sequel to Chasing Rabbits, an Alice in Wonderland New Adult re-imagining/retelling.
The most amazing thing about this book, as with the first book, is the very original concept. I think that Wonderland being a Fae world is extremely interesting and original. Since Wonderland is so whimsical, the Fae aspect really works extremely well.
The plot this time around was a little slow moving, and fell a little flat. While I liked where things ended up at the end of the book and I am excited to see what comes next, I felt that the buildup to the end was almost nonexistent. It felt like the entire book was just about Chess and Kat’s sexual tension and relationship. I would have liked more interactions with Dorian, or some more about him and his struggle with his feelings for Kat/Lynne. I would also have liked to see more of Mop and Trip, as well as the Shadow Man.
Chess is still my favorite character in the series. He is very mysterious, and he is hard to figure out. I am hoping that he doesn’t turn into a villain, because that would destroy me. I adore Chess! He seems so conflicted and sad inside. He has been through some terrible things and I really feel for him and his sorrowful past. (At least, what little we know of it.) While I don’t hate Kat’s character, I liked her less in this book. I did like Kat’s kindness to Alice when she appears again. It made me like her a little more. Alice in another mysterious character that is hard to figure out. I would have liked more of Dorian in the book, as I said before. I liked him in the first book, but his treatment of Kat in this book made me really dislike him. Though, I guess that is not a surprise by the end of the book. I am really hoping that things turn around with Dorian. The Seelie Queen is the epitome of a villain. She is heartless and evil at the core.
While the idea for this series is excellent, the writing falls a little short. It is more conversational than literary. There is a lot of slang that really takes away from what the book could be. If the colloquialisms were polished up, then the writing would be great. The parts where there is no slang sound fine. I did find a lot of misspelled words and grammar issues, but those are also easily fixed with editing.
There were many surprises while reading, which I enjoyed. I hate predictable books, and Chasing Cats has plenty of twists to keep you guessing. It really grabs your attention and makes you want to keep reading.
This book slightly touches upon prejudice, and I liked that it did. Most of the Fae look down up “half-breeds” and some of the characters struggle with the prejudices against them.
Overall, this was a very fun book with a lot of action and discovery. I am very invested in this series, and I cannot wait for the third book! I recommend this book to all that like New Adult fantasy and fairytales/retellings. Keep in mind that this is a New Adult book and contains explicit scenes, so it is recommended for a mature audience.
This is the second book in The Underground Series, a twisted modern day Alice in Wonderland. Katherine “Kat” is struggling with the fact that she is human, but also reincarnated seelie fae princess. Everyone wants something from her, but she is not sure who to trust. And she has two guys, Dorian & Cheshire “Chess”, she needs to figure out which to trust. What she needs to do.
I am a big fan of Erin Bedford and her Underland series! Kat’s adventures in Underland continue in this sexy, steamy, darker, adult re-telling of the Alice in Wonderland tale. There is magic, mystery, and secrets galore. The characters are interesting and well-drawn with personalities that make you smile, cringe, laugh, and shudder at different times. There are some great sexy times and fun romance as Alice continues to field advances from both Prince Dorian and Cheshire. But one question remains, who can she trust really? I am looking forward to the next book in the series to see where the tale goes next.

I found that I enjoyed this book better than the first book. Strange as it seems this book held my interest and attention better and the writing seemed more mature to go with the story. A dark and twisted story that I’ll look forward to reading more of.
