This novel contains graphic language and scenes and is recommended for audiences 18 and older.
This novel can be read as a standalone, but it’s strongly suggested you read the Southern Werewolves Series first.

Chasing Callie by Heather MacKinnon is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new new series written by a brand new author for me to read. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about werewolf shifters and paranormal romances.

Callie and Wyatt are everything !!! This book had me hooked from the very first paragraph. I love the relationship between Wyatt,Wess and their mother. While she isn’t a main character in this book, she is the kind of mom that everyone should have. I think the fact that each one of these people have gone through some crap within their lives makes them more relatable. I can’t wait until the next book in this series comes out.
In a spin-off series from the Southern Werewolves, the first book is about Callie, Abraham’s sister. Callie is a nerd~ She loves reading books, conducting scientific research, and fighting for causes. She also loves her family very much. Wes and Wyatt are twins that left a pack with their human mother who has lupus. They have been turned away by all other packs to join because of their mother. Abraham lets them join his. Wyatt immediately senses something about Callie that has him acting out strangely, and she him. They battle one another and the attraction. A series of events will lead them to the right path only to be fraught with many misunderstandings~ The battle with the Charlotte pack injures Wyatt…how will he come out? What will happen to him and Callie? Another fantastic book you will not want to miss~
I’ve been waiting for this book since reading the Southern Werewolves series last year. This book did not disappoint! I loved Callie and Wyatt even though I wanted them to get out of their own way and realize what they had together. This story happens at the same time as the Southern Werewolves series so don’t feel like you need to read the last couple chapters of Rise to refresh your memory. I had never read a werewolf novel before Shift. Heather MacKinnon opened my eyes to what I was missing. I can’t recommend Heather (and her werewolves) enough…do yourself a favor and read this book!
Among her siblings Callie is the quiet, studious one. With hardly any experience with the opposite sex she’s resigned to the fact she will live her life alone, with the exception of her siblings as family. But she’s shaken to the core with her strong reaction to one of the newest enforcers, Wyatt. The electric feeling intensifies when he’s near, so she does her best to stay far away from him. She has no desire to explore the unfamiliar feelings she’s experiencing.
Wyatt feel the pull towards Callie but knows it’s dangerous territory since she’s the alpha’s sister. Becoming invited to Abraham’s pack as an enforcer with his brother eases some of his troubles. He finally feels at home & he knows staying away from Callie is a must. He can’t let her get too close at the risk of exposing the secret he’s keeping from the pack.
Loved reading Callie’s story! After getting glimpses of Callie & Wyatt in Abraham & Elizabeth’s books, I couldn’t wait to read about their history. As annoying as the siblings are to one another they are loyal & fiercely protective. Looking forward to reading the next book!
Mackinnon does it again! Wyatt and Callie are life!!! They are stubborn, angsty and happy. I loved this book. I’ve already reread!!
Chasing Callie another absolutely amazing read from Heather Mackinnon to add to her Southern Werewolf series. This love story between Callie and Wyatt touched my heart with their inner battles to fight the inevitable that was right in front of their faces. I could not put this book down until I finished it I absolutely cannot wait until the next book!
As soon as I picked it up, I just couldn’t put it down! Definitely a page turner that tugs at your heart strings in just the right way!
I had a great time with this book. The characters are well developed and engaging with a hot alpha who has to chase his woman. The chemistry is undeniable throughout the pages. The storyline has an easy flow to it making for an enjoyable time reading.
