I loved this book. I enjoyed reading it so much that I’m now reading “Finding Amanda”. It’s very suspenseful. I’m now even trying to figure out what is going to happen. I’m afraid by the book cover it isn’t going to end like I want it to.
This is the prequel to Finding Amanda so I already knew that this was only a taste of the story of Mark and Amanda. It takes place over a few days, when they both fell in love. I know what you’re thinking: yeah, right… However, Robin Patchen provides a lot of background in Chasing Amanda and makes the premise of insta-love believable. The author also provides suspense in the form of a stalker.
All in all, this is a good suspenseful romance leading into the next book in this series.
4 stars.

I enjoyed reading Finding Amanda because it was full of suspense and the author has a great imagination that keeps you glued to the book.
In this book,I was introduced to Amanda Prince and Mark Johnson in a town called Providence. The suspense in the book is so great as a mysterious stalker was thrown in the plot and each page tries to keep the suspense longer.
At a time,I assumed who the nameless stalker was. That’s the power of a well written book but I was wrong!
From the book,I could get some themes out of it. Firstly, there was the theme of love as seen in the budding relationship between Amanda and Mark.
Secondly, the theme of trust. I was amazed at the speed in which Amanda trusted Mark with her heart and life.
This book is a prequel to Finding Amanda by Robin Patchen.
Although, the first few pages were captivating but other pages became too slow for me but I made up my mind to enjoy it and I did at the end.
A question that came to my mind while reading the book was ” What would make a stalker determined to harm his victim?”
I think the answer will be found in the main book Finding Amanda.
Very sweet and realistic story, cant wait to start book 2! This book has drama, suspense, romance, fear, love…everything that makes you come back for more!
I highly recommend all of Robin Patchen’s books. They will touch a place deep in your heart while bringing plenty of intrigue to stay engaged and entertained. Chasing Amanda is no exception!
I have to admit that this was a difficult book to start, after the love story prequel. In this book, both Mark and Amanda have scars from their life before they met. Hers, turns dangerous as her former doctor tries to kill her before she publishes her Memoir that will expose him. It was sad to see how misguided she was, but, also understandable. As often happens with Robin’s books, I could not put this book down until things were resolved. Always sorry when the books end but I find I keep thinking about these characters.
An impactful and beautiful romance.
Robin Patchen writes fast-paced, character-driven romances. They always contain a faith message and heart-pounding suspense.
Both Amanda and Lt. Mark Johnson have their own reasons to not start a relationship. When Amanda’s thrown them into danger, and Mark turns out to be a hero he’s too irresistible for Amanda. This book is an absolute nail-biter and a great read!
I’m thrilled there is a full-length novel, Chasing Amanda to dive into next.
I read this book in two days, it’s the perfect weekend read!
