Welcome to Aurora Falls. Home of platter-sized pancakes, the Northern Lights, and… a lake full of finned immortal warriors in search of their mates. This mountain getaway is full of sexy shimmering secrets just waiting to be revealed…I’ve traded rules and expectations for the adventure of a lifetime. But my plan for life on the road is quickly derailed when I bump into what has to be the … to be the sexiest man I’ve ever seen. And bonus, he’s dressed as a Viking.
But it isn’t until I spill maple syrup on his fascinating tattoo that my adventure truly begins. Abel claims he’s an ancient warrior and believes I’m the only one who can free him from a centuries-old curse.
Mate or not, I have three days to decide his fate. Do I send Abel back to his watery prison? Or do I embrace the exciting adventure fate has laid before me and claim this Viking god as my own?

Finding love on a deadline
I really do love all of the mermaids and mermen from Sapphire Lake and this is such a fantastic addition to the series. These Viking Warriors have waited below the lake forever to be freed by their mates. Too bad the mates only has three days to decide if they are meant to be. I love how the author brought the Tiny Hose rage to this book. A little syrup, some sticky sand, and fate are sure to bring these two right to their HEA. I am looking forward to the next book in the series and the next one by this author.
Abel the Viking turned merman was waiting to find his mate. Tori had just begun her tour with her new truck and tiny house and ended up at Aurora Falls during their festival. Lo and behold she sees a fake tattoo on this Viking and then this strange video thing plays what??? Now she’s his mate…. fun read

I love interconnected series with different authors. I am loving this one as well! You have a cursed Viking who needs his mate and his human mate who doesn’t know what is going on. But you can’t deny the attraction and connection.
I’ve Avoided Mermaids – Now I Wonder Why – Terrific!!
I just couldn’t see it. I’ve avoided all stories with Mermaids and Mermen. But Ms. Strassel has done them proud and written an excellent story. Thoroughly enjoyable story of small-town life and breaking a centuries old curse. Loved these characters and hope there will be more!

I’m not usually a fan of reading stories with mermen or mermaids, but Abel captured my heart in a few pages! Tori ticked me off with her resistance to him. It’s not like she had anything going on in her life to give up or change!!! Abel was so patient and didn’t rush or push her to a decision. The parents visit was hilarious. My heart hurt for Dolly, and I hope she has better luck in the next story, because she’s so selfless and deserves a hea.
Looking forward to more.
I found this book to be thoroughly entertaining with well defined and engaging characters that have plenty of chemistry. The storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end.

This was a great read, and it’s the first book that I’ve read in this series. I love reading about mermen, and I found Abel to be wonderful mate material., but Tori got on my nerves resisting and leaving. For a short read, this was wonderfully written.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Just the absolute best story. It had me captivated from the beginning with the hot steamy scenes. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Everything I like to read about and more. Such a great story I will read again and again. A keeper!!
