“Victoria, will you marry me?”Those words changed my life forever…just not in the way it would for most. I had it all until one fateful evening transformed my life in ways I never imagined.Nine months later, I move to a sleepy little town, hoping to escape the demons of my past. As I attempt to claim back my life, Jude Montgomery enters my world, and things begin to change.I thought running would … change.
I thought running would appease the nightmares, but I soon discover my past won’t let go. Things are not what they seem, and I begin to question the world as I know it. Jude may hold the answers, but will my love for him blind me to the truth?
Does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas? In my case, yes, it does.
Will the truth set me free? Or will it imprison us both?
My name is Victoria Armstrong, and this is my story…I think.

What was supposed to be an exciting day for Victoria turned out to be a day she would never forget but for all the wrong reasons. An unspeakable tragedy and an unforeseen turn of events brings Jude into her life. The author takes us along with these two amazing characters through a story that is unforgettable and so completely unique. A story of heartbreak, unconditional love and sacrifice. I won’t say more as to not give anything away because it is truly one of those stories you should go into blind. Though there is no way to prepare for a story like this, I will say go slow and don’t rush like I did the first time reading it. Let yourself take in each word and detail as Monica James takes you on a journey you won’t soon forget.
I don’t even know where to begin with this review. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book. I’m not one to read blurbs and I love all of Monica’s books. This one took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride that I didn’t expect. If I could I would honestly give this book a million stars. It is so worth it and I know I will be recovering from my book hangover for a long time.
Victoria’s life changed in an instant. One little moment forever changed the course of her life. Jude was a bit of a mystery, throughout you could tell there was something off about him, but just couldn’t place it. However, the chemistry between Victoria and Jude was electric. I loved it. I loved them. The change in Victoria throughout the story was inspiring and Jude helped her realize so much about herself. The more and more I learned about Jude the more I loved him. I wanted to hug him. Like Victoria, I was under his charm and you can’t help but feel drawn to him.
Chase the Butterflies is completely addicting and captivating. There are so many twists and turns throughout the story that will surprise you. This is an emotional story that will tug on your heart strings and leave you completely breathless.
Chase the Butterflies is a full-length standalone book by Monica James.

“If you knew something that would change someone’s life forever, would you tell them?”
My mind was blown with this book. My mind is in chaos. A whole cluster of just nothingness because it is so hard to describe what I just read. The reason why I am just now reviewing this. This was hard to review because it was just so good so I will probably just look like I’m having a worst case of word diarrhea. To be honest, I am still speechless. This book took a sudden turn that I fell off the whole car. Thrown off. Pushed off. Jumped off. All of the above. I. Am. Ruined.
“Every scar tells a story. It’s a stepping-stone in one’s journey. Maybe one day…you could show me yours.”
This book was sensational and so gripping, it will have you thinking about it days after. It is full of angst yet so beautiful. Each page was intense and it will leave you with the chills. This was too beautiful and so enthralling. This was raw.

Darling, I bow down to any author that can surprise me while reading a book.
I have the tendency to believe that I’m great at predicting the ending in books, but Monica James left me stunned.
I have no words to express the love I have for such an amazing book and author. Chase the Butterflies left me speechless and my adoration for the written word only grew.
Monica James grabbed my heart and my attention and not once did she let go. Her book was as magnificent as it was heartbreaking.
Five stars are never enough when you can’t let go of a such a masterpiece. If only I could go back in time and experience it all again.
This review will be pretty vague because I want to spare you from any spoilers. This is a story where you need to dive into without any information. Go in blind and fully experience the feelings an author bleeds onto the pages. Indulge yourself in a story that doesn’t leave out any human emotions. It goes from fear to pain to love and that all described in-depth. And you will feel it all.
Chase the Butterflies tells the amazing story of Victoria Armstrong. A strong woman who finds herself on a path that leads to an unknown destination after the man she loves asked her to marry him. A traumatic event leads her to a small town where the neighbour, Jude ends up being extremely interesting.
Together they go through the most epic and love-filled storyline. A book that ended up being extremely unpredictable, but wonderful nonetheless. It’s a story about healing, pure love and tough decision. And a very cute kid named Agnus.
Monica James wrote an extraordinary book with amazing writing and strong characters. Her words left me utterly speechless and my mind could only travel through thoughts of Victoria. I’m in love. In love with the writing, the storyline and the characters I can’t let go off.
If you are looking for a romance book that will transform your world, look no further. Chase the Butterflies is a five star read with a remarkable love story. A love story that will bring tears in your eyes and a heart bursting from all the feelings. Dive into Chase the Butterflies and don’t let go until the end.
I’m not sure where to start, what to say…mind blown! Unlike anything I’ve read before, the questions and mystery had me white knuckling my kindle. This is an epic love story of epic proportions…a love that knows no bounds!
Horrific and heartbreaking events have Victoria seeking a fresh start. When she meets her new neighbor, Jude, she can’t help but be inexplicably drawn to him…yes, he’s gorgeous, but there’s something more. Jude always seems to be there when she needs him, he’s become her protector and the comfort she feels around him doesn’t make sense. Hang on as things get a little crazy and everything you thought might not actually be. I couldn’t believe what I was reading!! Then seeing the words through my tears got difficult. I don’t think a book has made me cry this much, ever. I was one big sobbing mess! But it wasn’t just sad tears…tears of every kind, every feeling, every emotion because this story had it all and it wrecked me in the best way possible. I’m going to have a book hangover for days!
