I was totally glued to my kindle from the very first page with the great character and storyline development! As each page was turned I felt like I was being drawn deeper and deeper in as the story unfolded between Catherine and Asher!
On the eve of war (1914), Catherine is at a dinner when a stranger spends time talking with her. One part of her is attracted another does not like the man. Asher on a world tour receives disturbing news. Paranormal abilities will play a part in this fantasy romance and as you read farther into the book it will become very clear. Spies are another thing you will find in this story. You will follow our main characters through World War I. Well written it will show you what these characters are truly made of. It will touch you unexpectedly and do not be surprised if tears are in your eyes. This is a book that I highly recommend it really is a must read. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Romance during the WWI with a supernatural twist
This was a captivating read! Set in the time of WWI, the story begins just before the start of the war and follows the romance of Lady Catherine Langdon and Asher Rossington, the Marquess of Seabrook until after the end of the war. There’s romance, suspense, history and a paranormal twist, that are so well combined, that you’ll never have a dull moment reading it.

This book had a very unique feel to it. I enjoyed this PNR/historical romance hybrid. Catherine and Asher were both extremely likable characters that when brought together made an excellent couple. I really loved the chemistry that sparked between these two. The story was well written and kept my attention well. Drama, suspense, emotional turmoil and a touch of angst help to round out the plot into a very good read.
