Charming Hannah was a wonderful book I’d highly recommend to my readers!
I’m a total Kristen Proby fan! CHARMING HANNAH is a must read!
It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of anything Kristen Proby writes. I fell in love with the picturesque town of Cunningham Falls in the Love Under the Big Sky series, so I couldn’t wait to go back there and really delve into Brad and Hannah. They had both been introduced in that series (Hannah primarily in Saving Grace, Brad mostly in Seducing Lauren) and had captured me from the beginning. I needed them to get their story! I was extremely happy with the results!
Brad has become the chief of police of Cunningham Falls, while Hannah is an up-and-coming OB/GYN in town. They met 3 years prior at a Christmas party, but didn’t go anywhere due to Brad believing that Hannah was taken. They run into each other-literally- in a parking lot, and the spark is still there. They both have things that they need to work on, but together, they are stronger.
I am so glad to see a return to this series. The characters are fun and realistic, the plot is well-developed, and her writing keeps me engaged. More than that, Kristen Proby’s writing makes me feel- and that, to me, is the connection I need to a story.
I look forward to more- especially Jenna’s book!
I absolutely loved this book. The love story between Hannah and Brad is refreshing and welcome given all that’s going on in the world these days. There’s no real angst, they’re both in the right place in their lives to move forward with a forever love.
A writing friend and I talked about how, so often, feedback from other writers and writing instructors falls along the lines of “needs more conflict.” But, sometimes as a reader, I know I just want to enjoy watching two people fall in love. I don’t need for them to have massive issues, or wonder if death is about to swoop in or whatever. And, Charming Hannah gave me that solid, mature, just pretty awesome, sexy love story.
Hannah does have some serious anxiety issues, and I loved how Kristen Proby portrayed her struggles. I imagine that right now, with what’s going on with the coronavirus, there are many who are feeling similar anxieties and struggling to deal with them. Reading about a strong heroine who also has to grapple with fear could very well be helpful to so many right now.
Loved this book and I’m definitely going to read about Brad’s brother Max. Waiting for Willa is on the TBR list.
One of Kristen Proby’s most incredible talents is to create characters and locations you absolutely fall in love with. Hannah, Brad, and the community of Cunningham Falls are no exception.
Hannah Malone, Cunningham Falls OB/GYN, lives in a world that is content and controlled. But she can’t help notice the small town’s chief of police, Brad Hull when they end up in an accident and exchange numbers.
Brad Hull had his eye on the intriguing doctor years ago but didn’t do his investigative work quite right; he thought she was taken. Not giving up on this second chance, he quickly insinuates his way into her hectic life with ease.
As you can imagine it does to people with professions of these kind, life throws daily stress their way. I was impressed how this couple grew from the trials of day-to-day when that kind of pressure can cause the demise on so many new relationships. And while tested, it’s the internal struggles they face that will be the greatest challenge.
This book is entirely standalone. Although I would be remiss in saying you really should read Josh, Ty and Zach when you get a chance to add to the richness of your Cunningham Falls experience. You’ll run into Grace and some new characters who you hope Ms. Proby intends on writing into future books.
Beautiful story, wonderful
Beginning of the series. Hannah met Brad through his sister and she thinks he’s handsome, but both have very busy lives. There years later, he’s the chief of police but they finally have a date and it soars from there.
Not my favorite Kristin Proby book, but I can always count on her for a good story with likable, strong-willed characters.
How have I not read this before now?! Whaaaat?! Honestly, I love this author and her Come Away With Me series……and I now add this to that LOVE list!!
Brad has had his eye on Hannah for a while but didn’t make a move because he thought she was with someone. Their chemistry is crazy hot and their banter had me laughing out loud.
They seem to bring the best out in each other and both are a like a balm to their souls. Absolutely love it!
Looking forward to reading more in this series.
Charming Hannah is a sweet and endearing story. Cute and charming side characters, made me want to be apart of this sweet town.
I enjoyed the descriptive words. The ending was an awesome
“HEART <-to->HEART” ending; Mmmmmm… I’ll never forget it!
This is an absolutely wonderful read!
Loved Brad’s sensitivity and ability to help Hannah overcome her anxieties.
Love reading
4 1/2 charming stars. I listened this Audiobook and it was wonderful. It is a sweet and yes, charming love story. I love that both Brad and Hannah are strong characters both dedicating their lives to helping others. Hannah is an OB/Gyn doctor and Brad is the Chief of Police. Like real life with schedules like theirs and their dedication to their jobs, it isn’t easy for them to spend tons of time together. So they go for quality. I love their story and where it goes and I love that the characters are not perfect. they are real. They have real problems. In fact Hannah has anxiety and it is pretty serious. I like how this is addressed by the author and how it is woven into the story. It makes Hannah even more lovable in my opinion and Brad too for how he wants to love and comfort her through it. Another wonderful new series starter!
4 stars! Chief SexyPants will steal your heartbeat!
“You turn me the hell on, Brad Hull.”
Holy hell on wheels! I was left dump and anxious as the heroine of this book. Charming Hannah by Kristen Proby is a light read. It was easy to read but the pace is quite slow. At the beginning I felt those sparks that make you think: “this is going to be a good book” but they turned off and turned on constantly. Reading this book was a confusing but enjoyable journey. It’s crazy, isn’t it?
The storyline is good. There were moments that I felt high but also a bit low. I really don’t know how I felt after reading this book. I didn’t hate it but neither I loved it. The plot is fine but there was something missing.
The characters are complex. Hannah and Brad have the most demanding careers. He is a chief of police and She is an OB GYN. Their careers demand all their time and attention. They should be able to enjoy what life offers them. Life is not all about work. That’s something both will learn. They are busy souls that will calm each other demons. They are great together.
“Hannah that she calms me. She clears the demons away, and brings lightness to my heavy heart that I haven’t felt in a very long time.”
Brad is the best of this book. He is sexy AF. He is a strong, sweet, caring and loyal man. He is a chief of police so this means that he is a hot guy in uniform. Yay! Who does not love men in uniforms? Ladies Brad is going to melt your heart and panties.
Hannah and Brad are cute together. They complete each other. I wished Hannah was more confident and less nervous. She had more potential but she was a passive character.
“You make me want things I never have before, Hannah.”
Charming Hannah is the first installment of the Big Sky Series. Listen Proby delivered a quite small town love good enough for those readers who like a smooth and easy read. This is the first time I read something from Kristen and I am quite looking forward for Jenna’s book. I have the feeling that she will be a strong and sassy heroine. I am not disappointed. I am just trying to digest better this book.
I will confess a secrecy: Chief SexyPants is the main reason why I quite enjoyed this book.
Sweet charming story with some heat. Hannah has issues but she is also a successful doctor. She loves charming Cunningham Falls and has some friends and feels like she has a pretty decent life. Brad has been in Cunnhingham Falls his whole life. Both seem to be pretty put together but both have things in their lives that may be hard for others to understand. Facing those issues will be the hardest part of their relationship, if they can hold it together. I look forward to more in this series!
Audio Review from Jan 2019
This story was fun and enjoyable!
I like that the author displayed Hannah’s weekends without poking fun at it. How Brad had a tinge of the same but they helped balance each other.
Now while this story was enjoyable and there was noting wrong with the performance there was something OFF about the book that I can’t put my finger on.
A sometimes funny but engaging story centering on a neurotic doctor. Written in first person and done well. Strong characters, good story flow. Heavy with sexual situations and frequent use of F word. Great dialogue but ending a disappointment. No happily ever after but happy for now implied.
This one was charming and lighthearted. Brad and Hannah are perfect for each other. Both have hectic schedules, him the police chief and her an OB/GYN doctor and both are on call 24/7. Both have anxiety but are a calming force for each other. This was a cute story with more fluff than anything else but that was perfect for right now. Definitely going to continue with this series.
