Fern Day is barely holding it together most days. The single, fully-human mom of a fifteen-year-old-shifter-with-an-attitude has no time for herself. Her life is chaos, she’s a hot mess, and her daughter is her first priority. Sunkissed Key’s handsome pediatrician sure is tempting, though. When he offers to teach her daughter how to handle her animal side, Fern can’t refuse. But that’s not his … that’s not his only offer Fern can’t refuse.
Harrison Daniels knows Fern is his the moment he lays eyes on her. He also knows that she’s not ready to learn about shifter mating. She’ll only view it as another responsibility, and lord knows she’s juggling enough of those already. That child of hers is an unholy terror.
Harrison has his work cut out for him. He not only has to convince Fern that he’s in her life forever, he also has to gain the approval of her spawn from hell. Good thing Harrison never backs down from a challenge. Bring it on.
Cybermates, is a spin-off of the P.O.L.A.R. series. Although it’s not necessary to read P.O.L.A.R. to enjoy Cybermates, there are references to characters and places in Cybermates that originally appeared in and are further explained by reading the P.O.L.A.R. series.
WARNING: THIS BOOK IS INTENDED FOR ADULTS.

Aww Dr. Harry Bear
This hit all the feel goods and then some!! I love Harrison he’s the perfect teddy bear and Fern is the sweetest! I love how ferocious she is as a mother almost like she’s a perfect momma bear and though Kinsley drives absolutely bonkers I love how Harrison seems to be the anchor to their little family!! Great read!!
So good. Candace Ayers sure got it right with hormonal teenagers. Fern was hanging in there, raising her 15 year old trouble maker who not only made her want to cry and scream but as a human, her daughter is a wolf shifter, and she had no clue how to deal with her. So she took her to the local pediatrician who is also a bear shifter. Harrison thought he did not need a mate until the beautiful Fern came in with her troubled daughter. Not only is Fern his mate, he has to find a way to tell her, and cope with Kinsley, her daughter. I really got into this story, it shows that not every family is perfect, and dealing with teens is not easy, especially a wolf shifter. But Harrison is there to help and claim Fern as his mate. Great story with a HEA. I love the characters in this series.
A cute story with adorable characters, it was easy to fall in love with Fern and Harrison, and super easy to not like Kinsley at all, but her amped up teenage drama was definitely on point! The story flowed smoothly and it was easy to get lost in the everyday drama. I enjoyed reading this story a lot.
I really, really loved this book. I thought that the author hit a homerun with this incredibly enjoyable romance. This read was a brilliant combination of escape from reality paranormal and brutally honest, reality based realism. Fern and Harrison quickly stole into my heart and had me actively rooting for this couple to get a HEA. Laugh-out-loud and heartfelt moments are woven throughout this fun story that contains drama, strong emotions, a completely relatable heroine, a swoon worthy hero and a teen that many of us will feel we know personally.
My heart ached for Fern. She is a wonderful person who is trying to do right by her daughter but she is just out of control. Being human and trying to parent a shifter wouldn’t be easy for anyone. Throw in hormones from both the human and shifter side, her daughter was a nightmare.
Harrison has got to be the most patient man/shifter alive. Not only is is working with a human mate who knows nothing about mating but also her out of control daughter. Throw in the women in town trying to get his attention i was waiting for him to snap.
I like the progression between Fern and Harrison. I liked the growth between them. I just wished we would have gotten a little more between Harrison and Kinsley. They are both predator animals but she would have to realize that he is bigger and stronger.
This is a funny and sweet . Harrison is just what Fern and her angsty daughter, Kinsley need. I freely reviewed this book.
This is a well written book with strong, well developed characters in Fern and Harrison. The author does a great job developing the story and brings it to life with her detailed scenes. She brings tons of emotion and weaves an entertaining shifter romance that had me glued to the pages. It moves quickly and smoothly and I would recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
A nice addition to her Cybermates series
Fern, a human massage therapist, take her teenaged shifter daughter to see Harrison, a shifter pediatrician, at her shifter fiends’ advice. As the story progresses fate has her say, ignorance is not always bliss, and personal sacrifice may required to keep what is important. Candace Ayers’ Charmed Mate is a nice addition to her Cybermates series.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Charmed Mate is the second book in the Cybermates series but could be read as a stand alone. Fern is a single mother to a rebellious shifter teenager, so when she goes to visit a doctor for help, she meets Harrison. Harrison knows right away that Fern is his mate, but scaling the walls to her heart isn’t easy. Will they get a chance at forever?
I just love it when I start a book, expecting to only read a few chapters, and the next thing I know I’m already half way done with the book! That’s exactly what Fern and Harrison did to me! I can’t imagine the difficulties that Fern had to face being a human raising a shifter daughter. She was such a strong individual and I loved that she learned how to lean just a little with Harrison and with friends. Harrison is so patient with Fern, and I loved his guidance. I really enjoyed his shift from being content with being a bachelor to having a mate and now a child to help support. Their connection was serious and steamy right from the beginning, but I liked their sweet and vulnerable moments, too! While related to the P.O.L.A.R. series, I have really been enjoying these books and look forward to more!
