Cooper is one of five Presley brothers and they’re all ranchers on their father’s ranch. One day, he finds a dressed up baby goat when it runs across his path. He figures the owner must be his new neighbor.
Beth has just moved into her uncles farm house and discovered one of her goats missing. Fortunately, her cowboy neighbor found the both of them, because she had been searching for hours.
What follows is both a quick romance and a mild suspense. There’s some drama stirred up by a young woman Cooper dated a few times as well as recollections of past harassment from Beth’s ex boyfriend.
All in all, it’s a relaxing read that’s perfect for a vacation or even before bed.
Romance – Steamy PG / lots of kissing and physical awareness between the lead characters.
Language – PG / clean
Violence – stalking, verbal threats, one character punches another and hogties him.
My rating – 4 stars

Beth has just moved into the farmhouse next door to The Presley ranch. She has had to leave Houston to get away from Scott, her ex-boyfriend. Her uncle gives her his farm so she has room for her goats and a place to hide from Scott.
Beth was busy and did not know that there were holes in the fence. Tilly made her escape. Beth is traipsing all over the Presley’s pastures looking for her baby goat. Cooper is chasing a steer and suddenly sees something red dart out from behind a bush. He is frightened it is a child who will be tromped by the steer. When he gets to it he finds it is a baby goat in a red dress. He thinks his brothers are pulling a trick on him. He is trying to figure out where the goat came from when he sees Beth who had fallen into a ravine. He takes her and Tilly home only to find Milly the other goat is stuck in a pipe.
Cooper’s ex-girlfriend Nicole, shows up and creates a big scene at the Presley ranch. Then Beth’s house is trashed. So many things happening to keep you reading and interested. I did not want to put it down. I recommend this book to all who like good clean reading.
