A standalone enemies-to-lovers office romance set within the Rydeville Elite world.
Demi
Dropping out of college senior year was never part of my plan. But Dad needs me, and I’d move mountains for the only parent I’ve ever known—even working for the company that fired him.
My boss, Charlie, is determined to make my life a living hell, availing of every opportunity to undermine my confidence, to … my confidence, to humiliate and threaten me.
Sleeping with him the night of his wedding might have something to do with his attitude.
Or the fact I’m the spitting image of the woman he really wants.
If our financial situation wasn’t so dire, I’d tell Charlie to stick his job up his delectable butt.
But I’m trapped, and things are only getting worse. Because the more layers I uncover, the more I realize he is nothing l expected and everything I crave.
Charlie
If there was a manual for all the ways a person could mess up his life, it’d have my name written on it.
I can’t undo the things I’ve done, no matter how badly I want to, and every day is a constant reminder of my epic failure.
Especially her.
It’s as if Demi has been put on this earth to punish me. To inflict more torture and pain. Because every second I’m around her, she makes me feel things I don’t want to feel.
So, I lash out. Doing my best to push her away.
Until I realize she’s everything I never knew I needed, and the fight becomes a new battle—one to win her heart.
Due to mature content and themes, this book is recommended to readers aged eighteen and over. This is a slightly extended version of the version that appeared in the Bully Me anthology containing one extra chapter and two epilogues. It is a 60k word short novel that ends with a HEA and NO cliffhanger.

The Rydeville Elite are back with Charlie’s story. This is an enemies to lovers, bully office romance full of intrigue and sexiness.
There is so much more to Charlie than what he’s shown people and Demi is the only woman that makes him want to be a better man. Demi has a backbone and doesn’t let Charlie get away with walking all over her. Their story is sexy and emotional. Charlie needed his redemption with the crew and finally gets it and Demi has a surprising connection to Abby and Drew.
I loved Charlie’s story and can’t wait for Jackson!!
Charlie broke my heart in the previous Rydeville trilogy, and I wasn’t going to forgive him too easily. We finally meet the woman he slept with on his wedding night (and yeah I know the details of their marriage but it still bothers me) and Demi is nothing like I expected. She’s Charlie’s new PA, one that was unaware of his marriage.
I liked Demi. She was strong and stubborn. She feels stuck working for Charlie, needing the cash to pay for her father’s medical care. Side note – her father was unceremoniously let go by Charlie’s father when he had his first health issue (kind of a dick move – Charlie, Sr.). Yet when Charlie essentially bullies Demi to try to force her to quit, she sticks it out. Have to admire someone who will take shit and turn it into lemonade.
Charlie was just…meh. His rapid transition from bully to lover didn’t work for me. While I can appreciate how damaged he is, his progression didn’t feel real to me. I felt like the lust outweighed any other emotions for both of them most of the time.
I would have wished for a little more detail regarding the political Elite world, but the ending was still very satisfying regardless. Plus that epilogue gave me exactly what I needed.

I have liked Charlies character since Cruel Intentions and I was rooting for him to get his HEA and I love that Siobhan did not disappoint with this book. Charlie and Demi’s story is amazing. The chemistry between these was undeniable and even though Charlie fought his emotions and feelings because he felt he didn’t deserve a happy ending, I love the fight that he shows with each page. This book is full of emotions and I couldn’t put it down. It was everything and more. Demi was the person who Charlie needed in his life. Now I cannot wait for Jackson’s story!!
Siobhan Davis brings her A game in Charlie. She turned up the angst and heat to maximum. And it is one of my most favourite bully romance ever. The hate to love. The emotional turmoil. The steam factor. Just perfection.
Rydeville High Elite series remains one of my top 2019 read and my top bully romance series. And to say I was excited about Charlie’s story would be an understatement. I was dying to know more about this brooding, misunderstood, arrogant, gorgeous and alpha man. And Siobhan Davis did not disappoint me. She gave him the best possible match. Made in heaven or hell…now that’s for you to decide. Demi is the spitfire who doesn’t back down from Charlie’s challenges. Everytime Charlie tortured her or insulted her to hide his feelings, Demi pushed back harder. She is mature beyond her age and she sacrificed everything for her father. She is strong, resilient and smart but she also has a soft heart. She sees beyond Charlie’s angry and hard exterior. And she cares for the lonely and hurting man inside. Like Charlie took care of her and cherished her and supported her.
Their story started from one drunken Christmas night. They had instantly electrifying chemistry but they could not be together as she works as his personal assistant. And Charlie’s personal life and the business with Elite was beyond complicated. So rather than addressing the issues, they went on hurting and hating each other. And Siobhan Davis writes this edge of love and hate so good! It is blissfully swoonworthy to see a man like Charlie going down for the love of his life. Both of them have pains and heartbreak. And like stubborn fools, they make mistakes. But in the end, they are the most amazing and breathtaking couple! I was thrilled to see my old favorites like Abby, Kai, Jackson, Drew, Xavier and the whole lot of Rydeville High again. I did not know how much I missed them!
If you are a bully romance lover like me, Charlie by Siobhan Davis is one hundred and ten percent must read for you! It’s an intriguing, intense and unputdownable read!
Received ARC for honest review
There is nothing this woman writes that I don’t love. This is Charlie and Demi’s story. It is sweet and sexy and brutal all at once. We get some glimpses of the rest of the Rydeville crew, which I loved. This kept me hooked through the end. A+++++ I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I’ve always been a fan of Charlie. He hasn’t always done the right things, but I knew that to his core he was good. He was just a little lost. Maybe a little confused about his own feelings, but I never gave up hope on our boy.
This book starts off on fire. The instant attraction between Charlie and Demi was explosive. And Charlie definitely has a type..
It’s a quick read, but Siobhan always manages to throw enough into a story to leave you satisfied. We get to see our faves from Rydeville. We get the angst between Charlie and Demi. There is plenty of revelations, drama and some heartache. And Charlie gets his happy ending. After everything he’s been through, he deserves that and Demi is perfect for him.

OHHH CHARLIE!!!!
When reading previous books, I was pissed at Charlie!! I did not like Charlie at all. And then his book came out.
Got to read his side, his feelings and found out who he actually was, and I love him! Charlie and Demi were meant to be together. Charlie has his ups and down but ultimately finds his way. The epilogues make it that much better!! Can’t wait for Jackson’s story. Bring it on!!!
I wasn’t sure how I’d like this story since I wasn’t a huge fan of Charlie in the Rydeville trilogy. Bu to loved this book!! Siobhan has a way of making me fall in love with all her characters!
I really loved Demi. She’s a strong, fierce, loyal person. She doesn’t let anyone tell her what to do.
Learning more about Charlie in this story was what I needed. He really is a mystery. We only got to see pieces of him in the trilogy!
If you loved the Rydeville Elite trilogy you must read this book. You won’t want to miss what is happening in everyone’s lives!!
WOW. Just. WOW.
Siobhan Davis weaved her magic yet again.
You go into Charlie (the novella) thinking you know, when in fact you’ve got no idea.
You can’t help but love Charlie, once you see things through his eyes. You’ll kinda bleed for him.
Demi, you’ll absolutely love her! She can give as good as gets. She’s the strong female lead we’ve come to know and love from Siobhan.
Charlie is a story that’s raw, heartbreaking and beautiful.
I have to admit this wasn’t a book in the series I was waiting for however I am now a huge fan!
The book was well written with amazing highs and tear jerking lows!
I am in love with this couple as all the couples Siobhan writes they have there own histories and secrets but are the perfect mix when they are together.
I highly recommend this book, if you take the plunge you will not be disappointed.

I hated Charlie throughout the other books, but dang did he redeem himself! I love him and his girl. They are perfect for each other!
Yes! OMG! Yes! Nothing and I mean nothing excites me like a good “redemption story.” I’m talking to take the absolute most (or one of the most) unredeemable characters from one of your favorite books, or trilogies in this case, and redeem him. Transformation done. Siobhan Davis turned him around, upside down, inside out and showed us that “hold the phone ladies and gentlemen” he in fact has a heart and it can turn ooey gooey after all!
Charlie, oh Charlie! I had so many questions about you. So many theories after Sweet Retribution running amok in this brain of mine. I love that many of my questions were answered. I love even more that I now have more questions and theories about other characters. BTW…We will have their answers coming our way.
Charlie is most definitely one of those characters that your heart probably didn’t see coming. The Charlie you meet on page one, is not the Charlie that you will be left with at the end of the book. The growth that this character goes through is tremendous. My guess is he needed this amazing woman to bring him to his knees.
I think in his quest to try to break her, he broke himself, in the best way, only to build himself back stronger and better than ever. What I love about Siobhan Davis is she can take thes characters that you think are just deplorable and make you fall head over heels, unequivocally In love. Yes, I LOVE CHARLIE BARRON!
Demi is a fantastic character. Now my heart was devastated many times over for this girl. But I’m pretty obsessed with her. She was strong and brave and beautiful. With everything she had gone through and was going through, her strength was inspiring. With Charlie she gave as good as she got. He was irresistible, yes, rude, absolutely, but she was not a doormat. I loved that about her character. Their banter was fiery and explosive. There were most definitely times where you thought they could go straight from fighting to… oh you know!
Charlie was another phenomenal addition to the Rydeville Elite Series. I cannot wait for more. Siobhan never fails to captivate me from the first page. She had me hanging on every word, from start to finish. I’ve learned not to try to predict what will happen next in her books, because she’s the queen of giving you something unexpected. I love that! She plants little seeds, so you can get your theories a spinnin’! Well, I for one was born ready for this series and I’m SO Ready for more! My seeds are ready to start sprouting Siobhan, so bring on Jackson!
All the Stars in the Sky for Charlie!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book. All views and opinions are my own!
I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to read an ARC of this book and OMG, Siobhan Davis does it again – I absolutely floved this book!
Charlie was one of the ‘Elite’ from the Rydeville Elite series and this is his story – this book picks up from the night his father was murdered.
I’m not afraid to say that Charlie was a character that I HATED and I don’t use that term loosely, in my opinion he was despicable and unredeemable, so I was intrigued how Siobhan was going to play this story and boy was I NOT disappointed!
Charlie meets Demi in a bad situation, but their chemistry is off the charts and Demi… she is one h€ll of a strong woman that gives back as hard as it’s thrown at her.
It wouldn’t be a true Siobhan Davis book without a few unexpected twists here and there and definitely keeps you on your toes can’t wait for what comes next in this series!
3.5
I really enjoyed seeing the “after” for Charlie. Since it was a shorter standalone, I wished there was a bit more of the push and pull between Demi and Charlie, because I felt like it kind of resolved from enemies to lovers pretty quickly but it was still good nonetheless. Enjoyed seeing all the characters together again and including some ongoing elite concerns so I’m curious if that will continue to evolve and conclude or are just tidbits thrown in! Overall good but I just wanted moooore from them because it felt like it went by so quickly!

I just finished reading Charlie, book four in the Rydeville Elite series and I’m speechless. This book is freaking awesome! The problem now is that I need more. Packed with plenty of danger, betrayal, explosive banter, humor, verbal assaults’, off the charts chemistry, angst, quilt, regret, emotional turmoil, unexpected twists, heartbreak, passion, and love, this enemies to lovers bully story will grab you in the prologue and won’t let you go until you’ve read the final page.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
4.5 stars Siobhan Davis is one of those authors who always does it for me. She could write out a grocery list and I would find it enthralling. But instead, she gives us series like The Rydeville Elite and characters like Charlie Barron and I’ll never not be in love with her writing. While reading the Rydeville Elite series, I enjoyed Charlie’s character… until I didn’t. To me, it was obvious that he was someone harboring some darkness, but even I had underestimated how dark it would go. I wasn’t sure if he was redeemable, or even if he should be. But still, I held steady in my faith that Siobhan would deliver and help Charlie see the light. Charles Barron III has made a slew of mistakes, there’s no denying that. Adding Demi Alexander to that list is one he can’t forgive himself for, so instead he chooses to lash out and her instead. But oh, can Demi take it. She refuses to cower to her new boss and isn’t afraid to dish it back to him. These two have electric chemistry, which sizzles even hotter as they trade barbs and jabs with one another. But everyone knows the line between love and hate is thin, and it’s only a matter of time before that line breaks and everything comes to a head. Charlie does ultimately prove that he’s redeemable, that his past mistakes don’t define him. Demi is the light that he needed to find his way through the darkness, while he provides the safety and love that Demi needs during the toughest time of her life. Their foundation may have been made on rocky grounds, but they ended up more solid than ever. We also get to check in on some old friends, ones I’m sure we’ve all missed. The Elite is rebuilding and there’s danger in the horizon, but our crew is tough enough to handle it. I can’t wait to see what else is to come in this amazingly crafted universe!
I love a redemption story and Charlie’s story is full of healing and mending the past to pave way for the future!
I loved being back in folds of this amazing group of friends but I loved seeing Charlie grow! He wore his pain as a shield and he pushed everyone away! So it’s no surprise that it took a strong willed fiery woman to put him in his place and show him that he’s not the bad guy!
Demi is a gentle soul who was just trying to survive! Her world has been turned upside down and she will not allow the pampered jerk of a boss being her down! Especially without a fight!
When both of them open their eyes and see that the other is so much more than what they show, walls start to crumble and wounds begin to mend, but Charlie needs to decide if his world is a the place for Demi!
A very deep and emotional read! It was so hard yet so beautiful coming back to this world! I can’t wait to see what else is in store
Sweet Charlie got his redemption!!! I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book. Absolutely loved reading this. I always had a soft spot for Charlie and hoped he would be able to come back from what happened… and he did! You will love him and Demi.
Charlie was everything I’ve come to expect from Ms. Siobhan Davis! Her writing is always superior and she will always pull you into the storyline as if you are right there with them!
Charlie was never a favorite of mine based on the previous books in the series but I definitely enjoyed this one!
After the first three Rydeville Elite Books, I was not sure if it was possible to redeem Charlie. He was a ‘NO!’ with capitals in my eyes, even with him getting shot to protect Abby!
This book however has had me smiling, laughing, and sobbing! I’ve been completely spellbound by Demi and Charlie’s relationship. I woke at 3 am, started and didn’t stop till I hit the end of the second epilogue. I’m not sure where the time went, but next thing I know my hubby is getting ready for work and I’m still lost with The Elite.
We finally meet the girl who gave Charlie his wedding night scratches! What a bombshell and what a twist! Charlie starts as I imagined he would, a complete A**e! By the end he had me purring like a kitten! Totally redeemed!
A great addition to this series. The cameos by the rest of the gang are priceless, loving Sawyer and Xaviers banter, and hints on Jackson’s romance are not to be missed.
