A standalone enemies-to-lovers office romance set within the Rydeville Elite world.
Demi
Dropping out of college senior year was never part of my plan. But Dad needs me, and I’d move mountains for the only parent I’ve ever known—even working for the company that fired him.
My boss, Charlie, is determined to make my life a living hell, availing of every opportunity to undermine my confidence, to … my confidence, to humiliate and threaten me.
Sleeping with him the night of his wedding might have something to do with his attitude.
Or the fact I’m the spitting image of the woman he really wants.
If our financial situation wasn’t so dire, I’d tell Charlie to stick his job up his delectable butt.
But I’m trapped, and things are only getting worse. Because the more layers I uncover, the more I realize he is nothing l expected and everything I crave.
Charlie
If there was a manual for all the ways a person could mess up his life, it’d have my name written on it.
I can’t undo the things I’ve done, no matter how badly I want to, and every day is a constant reminder of my epic failure.
Especially her.
It’s as if Demi has been put on this earth to punish me. To inflict more torture and pain. Because every second I’m around her, she makes me feel things I don’t want to feel.
So, I lash out. Doing my best to push her away.
Until I realize she’s everything I never knew I needed, and the fight becomes a new battle—one to win her heart.
Due to mature content and themes, this book is recommended to readers aged eighteen and over. This is a slightly extended version of the version that appeared in the Bully Me anthology containing one extra chapter and two epilogues. It is a 60k word short novel that ends with a HEA and NO cliffhanger.

If you read the Rydeville Elite series then of course you have to read this. After everything that happened to them all you cannot help but wonder how things are going to turn out for Charlie when it is all said and done. This book picks up from his point of view during the night of his wedding to Abby where he met Demi for the first time. Due to the events that happened the two of them are not exactly friendly to one another but fate has other ideas as they keep getting thrown together. Finally he caves trying to make it work but the Elite have to try to ruin things yet again. An emotionally wrenching romance that goes from shades of hate, to steam, and finally love though life will still throw a few curve balls. I especially enjoyed the epilogue I must say. Now I am really looking forward to future installments as each guy gets his own story. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Charlie throughout the series, so there was no need for him to redeem himself for me. However, being in his head really made me fall harder for him. Plus, the sexy guy on the cover is perfect for Charlie!
Demi was such a great match for our Charlie, and I loved that she was older and incredibly mature. For a shorter novel, I thought Siobhan did an amazing job of connecting the readers to this new character on an emotional level. I hope to see more of Demi in the future books!
“He tips his chin up, staring at me with a frown, and I’m cursing my bleeding heart.”
This is a must read for all the Rydeville fans out there, especially if you’re wanting to hang out with the other characters we’ve grown to love!
I received a copy and volunteered to review it.
The Rydeville Elite Series had me reeling. In the first book I loved Charlie but by the end of the Twisted Betrayal I loathed him more than I have ever loathed a character. I was determined to hate him with every fiber of my being…but then as usual Siobhan twisted up my feelers and made me swallow my words with a big dose of…who the heck is this man. Without ruining anything I just want to say Siobhan Davis is a twisted genius who can write characters you love and hate all in one book. This book was everything plus the stars. Don’t wait friends… because this book will be flying off the shelves.
Charlie is book four in the Rydeville Elite series. It’s connected to the first three but could be read as a standalone. I read the first three and I was really waiting for Drew’s story but Charlie’s story was one I didn’t realize I needed. I loved Charlie’s story. Charlie has a lot on his plate. He’s grieving, running a business, and going to college. He’s pushed his friends away and is grumpy a lot. He comes off as a jerk at first but when his walls start to come down he see a completely different Charlie. He has great chemistry with Demi. Demi works for him. She struggling to pay bill and help care for her sick Dad. I really liked her. Her and Charlie together are great but they have ups and downs. I went into reading this one just to continue the Rydeville Elite series but this one turned out to be my favorite so far.
I love the Rydeville series! It’s a guilty pleasure for sure, and dark – if that’s your kind of thing, definitely check it out!
Charlie is a character I never expected to like. He did some terrible things and I just couldn’t see him finding redemption. I love that he’s found his match in the force that is Demi, and that they find their way into the fold that is the main cast of Rydeville characters.
Always a fun, steamy, twisty ride, Charlie is a great addition to the series!
Rydeville Elite is one of my favorite series. I could not put into words how happy I was to find out that Charlie would receive his own book. I absolutley love that Siobhan ties her characters into other stories and shares her amazing mind with us
I have always been a fan of Charlie. Not that I wanted to see him with our Abby, because she will always be Kai’s girl. 😉 But the love and adoration that he held for her, redeemed him in my book. He made some poor choices, but he pulled away stronger. I was always curious of what was going on in his head, and now I know!
In Charlie’s debuted book, we get a look into Charlie’s POV and his new love interest, Demi. She is strong, intelligent, compassionate and honestly, anyone willing to deal with the elite, is okay in my book. 😉 I loved that my favorite characters from Rydeville all came back to play. I love the banter between the group, it will never grow old.
This book was a great redemption novel and masterfully written. I was completely absorbed by the story and it had my emotions all over the place. If its the wicked desires and raw steaminess your body craves, you won’t be disappointed because Siobhan never lacks in that department!!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book.*
Only Siobhan can take a character you hate and make you fall in love with them!!!
Plus Demi is the perfect addition to this insane world.
4th installment in the saga. This time, Charlie’s story. Charlie has always been an ambiguous character. We’ve loved him and hated him!! He did, however, take a bullet for Abby, his love obsession. At the beginning Charlie is again an a..hole but redeems himself and becomes quite likeable in the end.
He meets his match in Demi . Poor Demi has had to leave college to look after her invalid father who has been badly treated by Charlie’s late father. She finds herself working for Charlie. Impossible situation especially after her one night stand with Charlie on his wedding night. To make matters worse Demi just happens to be a deadringer for Charlie’s lost love Abby, the woman he thought he was married to.
As ever, lots of action, twists, revelations and hot encounters. Hang onto your seats and make sure you’re not busy for a few hours as you won’t be able to put it down.! As it is a standalone, no cliffhanger.
I received an ARC.
OMG! Charlie was amazing! Demi’s origins was a very interesting twist! I loved this book so much and it shined a very different light on Charlie. I seriously can’t get enough of this series!
This was yet another lovely book in the series and a nice change of pace from the first 3!
It was interesting to see Charlie in a different way and gain an insight into his thoughts and feelings! I loved how this didn’t only just focus on Charlie but on Demi as well allowing us to understand both sides of the story.
The story was much more slow paced and less hectic than the last 3 books which made for a nice slow, allowing you to absorb more of the content!
Charlie, I loved him, I hated him, I loved him again before I fell into hate again. Good or bad, it took him along time to find his way. Not my favourite character and I was hugely conflicted whether he could be be redeemed. But in true Siobhan fashion, I am once again a fan. Charlie is also one of favourite stories of the Rydeville Series. Demi is amazing and huge part of Charlie redemption for me. She’s sweet, kind and way to good for Charlie. Their romance is hot, sexy and steamy and of course Charlie is going stuff it all up. How can he not, it’s Charlie. I absolutely loved this couple. It was great to catch up with rest of the Rydeville group and to see how Charlie factors into their lives now. After binging this story, I’m once again, loving Charlie. I feel like I’m plucking petals on a flower with this guy. Even Charlie deserves a second chance. A great story of redemption!
Spoiler alert: This is a standalone but this story is a spoiler for things that happen in the first three books so I recommend reading these in order.
I loved Abby and Kai’s story so much and wasn’t sure I was going to read this book. Charlie really pissed me off in Sweet Retribution even though I loved him in the first two so I didn’t really care about his story. After a couple of months of distance and seeing all the rave reviews, I decided to give it a shot and I’m really glad that I read it.
The sweet, loving Charlie we met in Cruel Intentions is still there but he’s drowning in regret and punishing himself far more than anyone else could ever punish him. He’ll always blame himself for his father’s death and his mother has vowed that she’ll never forgive him. She took Lilly and moved to Arizona to stay with her sister so Charlie is completely alone. He’s lost all of his friends and his family’s been destroyed so his life is work. He knows nothing else.
It takes a time to see all of this, however, because the Charlie we see early on here is a complete dick. He’s second in command of his father’s company and biding his time until graduating with his business degree so he can step into the number one role of CEO. He’s extremely attracted to his personal assistant but doesn’t believe her deserves to be happy so he fights it, hard. Unfortunately for Demi, fighting his feelings means Charlie is unbearably cruel, constantly going out of his way to insult and offend her.
Despite everything that happened between them, Abby still loves Charlie like a brother and wants him back in the circle. She’s constantly hounding him to return to the group and make amends with Drew and Kai. Charlie doesn’t want to hear it but Abby’s persistent and after everything she’s been through, she’s not going to let the guy who took a bullet for her fade away to a bitter, miserable life alone, no matter how much he tries to resist.
Demi’s a great character and instantly likeable, unlike Charlie. I was rooting for her instantly. We learn early on that Demi is the woman he slept with on his wedding night and she’s lived in fear ever since of Abby identifying her. She had no idea Charlie was married and loathes him for being a liar and a cheat. Charlie in turn blames Demi for his marriage failing since Abby knew he’d slept with someone else on their wedding night but of course that’s ridiculous and he eventually sees that, probably due to Abby’s intervention.
He finally recognizes that he didn’t love Abby, he became obsessed with her and that’s not the same at all. Charlie comes to terms with the many reasons their marriage failed, not the least of which is that her heart belonged to Kai all along and her marriage to Charlie wasn’t even valid since Abby and Kai’s secret marriage.
Things aren’t all sunshine and roses for poor Demi, because life has handed her a terrible burden, but Charlie’s there to hold her up, proving to be the man we hoped he was all along. Helping her inadvertently leads to a reconciliation with his mother and Charlie’s life begins to improve by leaps and bounds.
My only criticism here is that it’s a very short book and I somehow missed that in the description so I was shocked to see the word epilogue when it appeared. I always want them to be longer but the story was well-crafted and there’s not one but two epilogues, which is a nice bonus. They give us insight into Charlie, Demi, Abby, Kai and Jackson ten years in the future, which was fun.
Great feeling to Charlie’s book.
I loved Charlie story it is great as a standalone or as the series. Would recommend reading the before, so you get the really truth of Charlie. He is a true love hate character and you can’t help routing for the best for the two to get to the end of line together. Love how the gang was still there in the storyline and there was a hidden connection to the characters we love. This is a must read could not put it down and cannot wait to see more from these characters soon.
Charlie! <3
This was amazing! My feelings regarding Charlie changed after reading his short story. The love between Charlie and Demi was just pure perfection.
Didn’t work for me
Unfortunately this one didn’t work for me .
I couldnt connect with the story or the characters and I had to push through the book to finish it .. after the epic first three books I was disappointed to find this one didn’t flow , and had too much fluff .
I had read somewhere that this was originally a novella story and I really feel that would have been more affective ! It felt like key scenes were missing (eg abby talking to Charlie twice ) and character development was seriously lacking .
I really only finished reading because I didn’t want there to be any movement forward in the bigger picture story for the following books but I know I am not enjoying a book when I found myself preferring to play candy crush over reading …. oh no !!!!
I read this book so fast as I couldn’t get enough of this story and all these characters it really does have it all and holds your attention to the very end. This is the #4 book in the series Rydeville Elite and I was so glad that Charlie got his own book. This is a dark bully romance book that you will love.
Charlie has had things is tough and after everything he has totally locked his heart away for goo or so it seems. After his father died he is taking over the business slowly;y while still attending to his studies but he is by himself after his mum and sister left and his friends have all gone too. Demi is a beautiful strong independent woman that is doing everything she can to help her fathers who is ill. When she starts working with Charlie they don’t get of to a very good start and he wants to do everything he can to make her leave.
I really enjoyed reading this book and I loved how this authors has written the characters and the fact that all the other characters form the previous books make a small appearance too. The chemistry between Demi and Charlie is of the charts and once Demi tries to break into his heart every thing changes for the both of them. Charlie has a hard outer shell and Demi is sweet but can she really get through to him? This story flows all the way through and I was gripped right until the very end. I really like the way that this author writes and really enjoy the worlds that she creates. This book will have your emotions in a vice and once you start reading about there love story you wont be able to stop. I recommend reading the other books in the series so you can truly see all what Charlie has had to go though and I can not wait to get straight in to the next book in Rydeville Elite.

Charlie is an enemies to lovers, office romance that held my interest from start to finish. The story had it all, complex characters, drama, steam, twists and turns and it gave you all the feels. Charlie and Demi had undeniable chemistry and I enjoyed seeing how their relationship developed. This story was emotional and will cause you to shed a tear or two. I loved it and would recommend it to romance lovers.
The audiobook was narrated by Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher. These two were excellent choices for this narration. Their voices blended well together and they brought the story to life infusing the right emotions in their characters. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

Charlie is Demi’s boss. He’s arrogant, stubborn, domineering and complicated. Demi would quit if she could financially. His attitude runs hot and cold towards her. She has awakened emotions in him that he has never felt. This isnt as dark or intense as the first two books, but it more into the psyche of Charlie and Demi’s emotions, differences, and lust for each other.
Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher are exceptional narrators.. They made it an enjoyable story to listen

Charlie by Siobhan Davis is an enemies-to-lovers office romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher. This is the forth book in the Rydeville Elite series and can be read as a stand-alone.
This book does come with a caution “Due to mature content and themes, this book is recommended to listeners ages 18 and over. This is a slightly extended version of the version that appeared in the Bully Me anthology, containing one extra chapter and two epilogues and ending with a HEA and no cliff-hanger.”
This is the second series of Siobhan’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I have only read book four and five of this series and can’t wait to go back and read the rest of the series. I liked the relationship that bloomed between Demi and Charlie. I am happy we got two epilogues because I felt like the story ended quickly. So I was happy to see a jump ten years down the road.
Sarah and Michael did a great job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like enemies-to-lovers romance, office romances, or contemporary romance.

This is the fourth book in the Rydeville Elite Series. I recommend to listen to this Series in order. Charlie and Demi’s enemies to lovers story is great. Charlie is a complex character, dominant, and secretive, and intriguing. Demi is sweet, strong, supportive, and caring. They are opposites attract, and they share a sizzling chemistry. The supporting characters are interesting. The world building is intriguing. I like the emotional and beautiful ending. Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher did a good job with the narration. #AudiobookObsession #PinkFlamingoProductions
