Contains potential spoilers Don’t read if you haven’t read First MoonSome problems are sky high. Literally. The moon is stuck all over the globe, not going down at any time of the day. There’s zero sunrise anywhere, and no one has a clue what to do. There’s panic in the streets, and the world is holding its breath as if everything is about to go mental. Great! Shit storms are never fun!… mental.
Great! Shit storms are never fun!
Half-werewolf Akira Murakami is still reeling from being smacked upside the head with revelations, as well losing his beloved motorbike and energy-sucking swords.
Whatever happened to the simple life of hunting and baking?
Sigh.
His new, not-so-awesome, blades aren’t cutting the mustard, his potentially prophetic dreams are driving him crackers with their vagueness, he still has no answers about his mysterious lineage, and the danger stakes have gone up several notches. Plus, well, a certain beta werewolf is leaving him all hot and bothered—a complication he so doesn’t need.
Chaos, chaos all around! When will the world stop spinning?
Step into a dark and dangerous world with a moon that just won’t quit, and where plenty of stress baking is going down. There’s some salted caramel cupcakes that’ll blow your mind!
A kick-ass Urban Fantasy adventure with a slow-burn MM Romance.

I am totally hooked on this series, with each new instalment leaving me wanting more. The world building is fabulous, and I’m loving how each book builds on its society and mythology too.
I’m enjoying how Aki and G’s relationship is changing as they’re both acting on their feelings and then taking a step back. I loved the conversation they have in this one about past trauma and the insight into G who is one of my favourite characters. Poor Aki, and the reasons why he keeps backing off. Colin has a lot to answer for.
As an aside I do love how Australia and New Zealand (and the poles) are the only places outside wolf jurisdiction. I always get a kick out of a southern hemisphere reference in books.
The action scenes are well written, and I like how the world is expanding as Aki and G encounter other supernaturals such as pixies. I feel sorry for Zach—he’s a victim of all of this—and I like that Aki gets glimpses of him still fighting. Xavier still rocks. I enjoyed the scenes with Aki and the elves. And the baking! I love that side of Aki, and his need to bake for stress relief. Elf magic is weird, but very cool.
I also liked the hint that Aki’s father might not be quite as cold as he seems but as he’s so full of ulterior motives I’m reserving judgement on that one, although I’m wondering if he does care for Aki in his own way. I’m really hoping that some of the events of the last part of the book don’t end up being not real as Colin totally deserves what happens to him. Loved G’s reaction when he found out the truth. Aki’s uncle is an interesting character, and I hope we do see more of him in the rest of the series. The twist with Aki’s new swords is very cool.
I loved how the Chaos Moon affects the wolves, and causes major issues. The final silver moon doesn’t bode well, especially with how time is running out.
As with the first book in the series, this one ends on a cliffhanger, and although I found it a very satisfying read, I want the next one NOW.
This story will grip you from the start, page turner. It starts where the last story ended. It is full of action, adventure, romance, and bit of everything else thrown in between. It was a really good story, definitely enjoyed it.
I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions
Aikra is such an interesting young man. He’s snarky and flippant and harbors the loss of affection from the ambitious tyrant of his father. Gabriel is a true friend but neither wants to owe up to their mutual attraction and their relationship is on the slow track.
Akira and Gabriel fight are now fighting against Mama Rita and gangster Violet to save the world. And of course it ends with a cliffhanger! I definitely recommend this book!
No spoilers of any kind included.
I absolutely loved Chaos Moon, just like First Moon the first book in the Four Moons series I was sucked in before I had even gotten to the second chapter and I stayed hooked until I got to the end of the story where I was left wanting and needing more.
So it’s definitely going to be yes I do recommend this book but if you haven’t read First Moon then I highly suggest that you do.
*An ARC was provided by the author, publisher or a promotional service and I have chosen to publish a fair and honest review*
This is the second book in this series, and this was the best one I’ve read by this author so far. I really enjoyed the first one, but this one was great! We start the book pretty much where the first one left off, and the action starts almost from the beginning. I adore G and Akira; they are such a cute couple who don’t want to admit their feelings. In the midst of that, they are on a hunt to save the world. With great writing, surprising revelations, hurts revisited (that made me cry), great action, and an interesting plot, this book is definitely one to pick up. Now, I’m anxiously awaiting the next one. Highly recommend! I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
This is by far shaping up to be the best solo series yet by Richard Amos, The action kicks off from the first few pages and gathers momentum through out the book.
Akira and his man crush Gabriel have a quest to complete and even though he has lost his power along with his swords he has to find a way to save the world as they know it along with saving the Wolves from the curse.
lots of really good twists and turns some you see coming and others just blindside you completely – really good action/fight scenes and some heart stopping moments ensure that this put cant be put down until you have finished it at which point be warned you will be really wanting teh next book.
Fabulous world building and character dynamics along with a really good storey ensure that this is a very enjoyable read.
