I have read all of the preceding books in this series and enjoyed all of them. While this book can be read as a standalone, you lose some of the back story if you do not read the previous book. Holt aka T-Rex has given his all for the club and his brothers. He voluntarily gave himself up as a hostage to a rival club to protect one of his brother’s old lady. He is subsequently tortured for three months, was near death but was saved by Naiya. He has lost all hope of his brothers, the very ones he sacrificed for, and feels he has been abandoned. Naiya is another victim of the villain who raped her when she was 15 and now plans to keep her. Naiya is a little on the geeky side but the inner strength and independence she shows makes her a strong heroine. T-Rex is adamant that he is going to seek revenge by killing his former brothers as well as killing the villain. We have a sweet romance between Nolan and Naiya but we also have a great story about T-Rex and his friend, Tank. The friendship between those two warms your heart. This story had great character development and the author really made me feel the main characters feelings/emotions. We see the love grow but we also see Nolan mature and develop into an independent man who is willing to give the club up and go his own way. This is an excellent book and I highly recommend it and the entire series. I am looking forward to Tank’s story.
After watching her mother give her life over the club and it completely destroy her, Naiya Kelly made the decision early on to never get herself mixed up with a biker. And so far she’s been able to keep the promise she made to herself… but she never planned to meet a man like Holt Savage. The minute she is thrown into the Black Jacks dungeon with him, she feels a undeniable magnetic pull to him, he’s wounded and is in dire need of saving and she can’t help but get involved. They formulate a plan to make their escape from the dungeon and begin to form a bond, and the sparks start to fly, and before long Naiya begins to second guess her little plan about bikers!
Holt Savage knew better than to try and save a friend from a rival gang without the aid of his Sinner brothers, but he couldn’t stand by and watch them harm her any longer so he took matters into his own hands and attempted to rescue her, but soon found himself in the hands of the enemy. The Black Jacks have been holding Holt captive at their compound for months now, and he is starting to lose hope that his brothers are coming to rescue him, and his will to live is starting to fade… that is until a beautiful damsel in distress gets thrown into his cell. She has a escape plan and he finds himself putting what little faith he has left in her hands…
From the moment I started this one I knew it there was no way I was putting it down until I had devoured every last word, it grabbed a hold of me from the first page and kept me completely enthralled until the last page was turned. The minute Holt waltzed onto the page I was drawn to him like a moth to a flame, and the more I got to know him the hotter that flame got… and the harder I fell!! Everything about the man is sinfully delectable… his confident swagger, protective nature, scorching one liners, and dominating presence in the bedroom had me swooning the whole way through!! Ms. Castille definitely outdid herself with character development with this one, Holt and Naiya were a match made in literary heaven and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute I spent with them.
If you like your fairy tales a little on the naughty side, and equipped with a sexy biker that goes above and beyond to satisfy your every desire, then I HIGHLY recommend you acquaint yourself with Mr. Holt Savage!!
A raw, gritty, and intense story. This story has the perfect amount of action, intrigue, suspense, and of course romance. Naiya and T-Rex(Holt) met during a dark time and embark on a thrilling journey. Their chemistry is undeniable, and their connection is sweet. I absolutely enjoyed this book.
Let me get this out the way …. Sarah Castille is fridiculously good with words! The woman misses nothing! Not only did she give us the emotional ride that both our main leads deserved, but she also wove in the Club’s story and its path perfectly together! And don’t get me started on her flawlessly good sexual prose. (I may have had a few panty changes while reading this story … maybe, probably … i have no shame lol)!
It should also be noted that altho this could easily be read as a stand-alone, I don’t recommend it. For two reasons. One, the story of the Sinners starts with book 1 and continues to grow with every book. And two, the journey that T-Rex/Holt goes thru in this book is metamorphic. It’s a growth into something else. To best understand it, you should at least read book 3 in the series, Sinner’s Steel. IMO, that is.
Now … let’s talk about the greatness that is Holt and Naiya. A perfect match. Each to each other what each needed (that seems like a lot of *eaches* but you feel me, right?! lol). I was deliriously happy reading this entire book. Naiya was the best kind of feisty and Holt was the best kind of gentle soul with a band on steel ready to protect and do what’s best. I don’t want to give you details because every little detail of this #geektastic story needs to be experienced by anyone who reads it. Everything from the sexual to the friendship to the love and brotherhood and family was perfectly laid out and just flawless!
This was a great book full of revenge, pain, loyalty, understanding and the sexiness readers have come to know from this series. It also had a very sassy and determined heroine, Naiya, who was strong and defiant because of a past she had no control of. And the hero, Holt, was pure alpha male at its finest. Sarah Castille has another hit. This is the fourth installment of The Sinner’s Tribe (can be read as a stand alone but to get the full effect of the brotherhood I suggest reading the entire series, you won’t be sorry.)
