Natalie is a wonderful woman who is struggling with her history. When Glenn and Darla come into her life she begins to see all of her past mistakes. Watching Natalie grow into a different person will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. You will feel God working throughout this wonderful inspirational story. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.
Changed Somehow is an emotionally impactful and uplifting story, one that I could truly relate to. Ms. Flanagan’s writing has a lovely fluidity to it that makes it a genuine pleasure to read.
This lovely author has a really unique way of getting inside your heart and soul! This is her first Potter’s House venture, but she brings us the tale of a character that is so flawed and in need of redemption that it fits this series perfectly! I highly recommend any of Chloe’s novels, but if you need a starting off point, jump right in here!
This was a good story that showed the power of thinking of things from another person’s perspective. We all have things in our past that shape who we have become. Sometimes when we are able to put aside our hurt feelings, we learn to see others with God’s love. I enjoyed reading the story of Natalie and Glenn and how God worked in each of their lives to change them into who He wanted them to be. I received a complimentary copy of this book, but have chosen to freely offer my own thoughts and opinions.
This is the first book of Ms. Flanagan’s that I have read. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The characters are interesting true to life. Change doesn’t happen overnight which is what Natalie finds out. She also realizes that she needs to make some amends. Her friendship with Glenn and Darla opens the door to her heart and the beginning of change for her. I highly recommend this book.
What a wonderful redemption story! It is beautifully written and you can feel all the emotions. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t stop. I highly recommend this book.
I really enjoyed this book! Natalie and Glenn make an unlikely couple; however, when Natalie meets Glenn, and through him, in a slightly round about way, God, look out!! She didn’t know a good friend had been praying for her for years. She didn’t realize that part of her “problem” was her own expectations and putting words and mannerisms on other people. Once God got a hold of her, she started seeing herself differently, which is exactly what each of us should do, too. God takes us as we are, but then He conforms us to His image, which means everyone around us should see the change in us, and with Natalie, they do! He will do the same for us!! We’re continually growing and changing into His image every day we’re alive, if only we’ll let Him!!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is totally my own.

What a beautiful redemption story! This book follows the life of actress Natalie Rivers. As one who has charmed her way into everything, her life comes to a grinding halt when she can’t seem to work through a few small parts of the play that she got the lead in. This small issue spirals the rest of her life out of control, leading her to new friends who volunteer to help out troubled teens. Natalie gets pulled in and in the process finds the God who has always loved her. This book shows the powerful story of how the lost are saved and has a beautiful faith thread. There is also a romance in there, but it’s not the main point of the story and is sweetly done. Fans of the author’s “An Offer of Grace” series will be glad to see a scene from “No Longer a Stranger” from a different perspective, but those who have not read the prior series won’t miss anything from not having read those. It was a nice “easter egg” for me though. This book has all the good stuff – great characters, an interesting character-driven plot line, a romance and a superb faith thread. I recommend this one to all fans of Christian fiction! Special thanks to the author for an advanced e-copy of this book. I was not obligated to write a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.
